Finn jumped at the bell and ran as fast as he could. Jake stretched his body inside. Fern trudged along. "What's up with him?" Jake asked. Finn shrugged. "He's got a lot on his mind." Jake climbed under Finn and ran. Finn laughed. "I have science first." Jake groaned. "I have math." Finn jumped off of Jake and ran into science. Jake waved and left. Finn looked at the classroom. It was full of candy people. The teacher looked up. "Are you Finn Mertins?" Finn nodded. "You sit next to Peppermint." Finn looked around. Peppermint Butler was sitting in the back of the room. Finn walked to his seat. "Hey, Pep But!" The little guy waved. the door opened. "Well," The teacher said. "You must be the new kid, Fern."
