Abby Foster is just like everyone else.  She doesn't stand out at all . . . and that's fine with her.  Actually, that's better than fine.  She has no distractions, no parties to go to, even if it means eating lunch alone with no company but Isla Castro's outlandish conspiracy theories.  All she needs to do is get through school, get into college, but unfortunately to do that she needs to scrape up more money.

She isn't entirely sure why she's still being hired to babysit thirteen-year-old Dustin Henderson (unbeknownst to her, both Claudia and Dustin Henderson want to help Abby the best way that they can), but she's known the kid for years, so she supposes it isn't too bad.  That is, if you ignore the fact that the kid is a magnet (a very strong one, at that Abby would like to add) for trouble, and that he neglected to mention that he's housing a baby demogorgon.

(Moral of the story: babysitters really need to be paid more for all the shit they have to put up with)
