After spending my day being utterly eager for the result, I couldn't sleep at night at all. If I won, its an if but still. If I won, how would be the school? Would I make new friends? Would it be a new beginning? These thoughts are exciting as well as making me deeply nervous. I walked through the doors and classes in my school reaching the class assigned to me for the first lecture with excitement burning inside me. The bell rang loudly signing the beginning of the assembly which would surely be followed by today's announcements.

The assembly went too slow, I felt. Maybe because of my eagerness, I think. Then was the time of announcements and I was blooming with excitement inside out. I would've never thought about it like this when my name was announced,"The first place in the scholarship exam goes to Sasha D'souza." My excitement was replaced with happiness that knew no bounds. I was ecstatic about going to a new place, having a new beginning and finf my own destiny. Living alone in a new place won't be easy but that can't stop me from building a new life to make my dreams come true.

Soon, I met Kara who was a little saddened by my absence here but I promised to stay in contact. She had been my backbone all the time here. Our friendship bond can't be broken by just distance. I knew that very well.

It was the end of the school with kids going home in a cheery mode free from the school atmosphere. I was happy and cheery as well but another reason as  well,"Juliet is coming, right?" asked Kara on our way back home. I happily nodded, my ectasy evident on my face. 

I reached home soo, told my parents about the scholarship and after a few minutes, the doorbell rang alerting her arrival. I ran towards the door and opened it before anyone else could. There stood my cousin sister Juliet ready to do a bro fist with her slender body yet strong fists. Her radiant smile could brighten a night and she was of the same age as mine. My favourite cousin ever. She entered the house and told abotu how the scholarship was held in her school as well. I was truly shocked. Then, she said that she was selected as well and I was really happy to hear that. Someone would be there to accompany me and I won't be alone. The doorbell rang once again startling me and I was out of my thoughts.

An ounce of surprise was on my face as I opened the door and didn't know who they were.

"Hello, Sasha."
