The clouds darkened around the guild. For a brief moment all was still.

Suddenly, a loud boom echoed across the land. The guild hall shook and trembled. It's reinforcements stood their ground.

But what the members of Fairy Tail were not expecting was that the great black dragon - Achnologia - himself would join Zeref in this war upon the fairies.

The dragon landed in front of the guild, his dark cold eyes stared down upon the building.

"Give back Mavis and your lives shall be spared!" Zeref called from on the back of Achnologia.

"We are Fairy Tail!" Makarov walked out of the guild. He looked up at the towering dragon and black Mage before him. "We do not take likely to those who wish to harm our family!"

"Give me back Mavis and your lives will be spared!" Zeref called once again, this time becoming more irritated by having to repeat himself.

"We will not give you first master!" Makarov glared towards the black Mage.

Zeref stiffened. His fist gripped with rage. "Fine. Have it your way." He looked down at Achnologia and whispered into the great dragon's ear. "Kill them all."

Achnologia opened his mouth, an orb of light formed as he readied his roar.

A light glistened around Makarov as he grew from his tiny self to a giant Titan. "You will not harm my brats!" He roared.

Achnologia fired his roar at Makarov. The old man took the attack to protect his children. He hoped his sacrifice would be enough to save them. The poor master shrunk in size as he flew back towards the guild. His body burnt and black.

Achnologia grinned thinking he had claimed his victory. However, as Makarov hit the ground, a golden magic circle appeared upon the chest of the almighty dragon. Achnologia looked down at his chest. Before he could realize what it was, the large dragon began to shrink. Achnologia shrank until he was the size of a mouse.

Zeref looked down at Achnologia and just shook his head. How could a great dragon like Achnologia turn to something as tiny as a mouse? He stared at the -now masterless- guild and grinned. The fairies would be useless without a master. Now he could get Mavis without any trouble.

The black Mage casually walked into the guild. But as the doors closed behind him, he suddenly had regret.

How could he have fallen into their trap? He was the great black mage Zeref.

Natsu stood in front of Zeref, glaring at him.

"You hurt gramps! Now you must pay!" He growled at Zeref.

Zeref just stared at Natsu. He wanted Mavis, but he could not push himself to get through Natsu.

"Iron fist of the fire dragon!" Natsu punched Zeref in the face. He called out attacks as he beat Zeref.

Zeref closed his eyes. Would this be the end for him?

Mavis floated down to the two, stopping Natsu in his tracks. "That's enough." She whispered.

Natsu pouted.

The kids watched in confuse-ment. Was this all the war? Was this it?

Zeref looked at Mavis. He wanted her so badly. He could just reach out and touch her. So why didn't he?

Mavis looked at him and then down at herself, "you brought this down upon yourself." She mumbled.

"I-I don't understand." He muttered. Mavis then took his hand and placed it upon her stomach.

"Her name is Zoey."

<casually ends the book here... evil grin. Moohahaha! Nah. I ain't that evil. Or am I? Nah. More down below.>

"I-I'm a fat-" before Zeref could finish, the guild erupted with dark wizards from all sorts of Zeref-worshipping-guilds.

"There he is! Get him!" One called and the rest fought through the wizards of Fairy Tail to get to Zeref.

Now the war begins!

Zeref grinned and grabbed Mavis. "Now that I have the perfect distraction!" He got up and turned towards the doors. "I can leave with my target!"

Mavis struggled to be free. "L-let go!" She flailed around to no avail.

Lucy screamed as she was grabbed by one of the dark mages. Natsu turned towards them and growled.

"Let Lucy Go!" He ignited his fists and punched the wizard as hard as he could, sending them through the ceiling.

Natsu went over to Lucy and held her close. He looked deep into her eyes. "You're safe now." He smiled before giving her a kiss.

Lucy blushed ever-so-slightly before returning the kiss. "Thank you Natsu."

"Let's win this. Together!" Lucy smiled and hugged him. And together they fought off Mage after Mage,

A group of dark wizards surrounded Levy. The group was mainly men. They grinned at the shivering girl in the centre. "Let's have some fun!" They laughed. But a shadowed figure not too far made them stop.

"Leave my shrimp alone!" Gajeel boomed eliminating the Wizards at once. "No one messes with my shrimp!" He glared down at the knocked out wizards as Levy ran to him and hugged his chest. Gajeel smirked. "Awe shrimp. Don't be all fuzzy now."

"I'm sorry." Levy mumbled as her face was buried in his chest.

Gray and Juvia fought alongside each other. Taking down enimies two by two using their unison raid. Though at times Juvia would stop to admire Gray before needing to be knocked back to reality.

Mira and Erza fought alongside each other leaving Jellal and Laxus to be stuck together.
Though no dark wizard dared to enter into Erza and Mira's territory.

....Though they were never sure why....

Though while the adults were fighting, the children decided to go after Zeref and Mavis. They figured that this would be their form in helping their parents.

Soka and Lexi stopped Zeref in his path. And glared at him, much like Erza and Mira in the image above.

"Hey!" Lena, Michi, Mack and Nikki called as they ran after Zeref.

Neko came from the side and used her solid script magic to restrain Zeref.

"Release First Master now!" James called. Coming from Zeref's other side, completing the circle of kids surrounding him.

Zeref grinned. "Foolish kids will all now perish!" He was about to release his death magic when he realized that he still had Mavis. He did not want to harm her or their child. Yet, if he released his magic, they would indeed be caught in the cross fire.

"Everyone ready?" Soka and Lexis called in unison. The others nodded their heads to signify that they were. One by one, they joined hands.

"For Fairy Tail!" They cheered as a light began to flow from them. Zeref looked around for an escape, unfortunately he could not find one. The unison raid hit him and he was suddenly filled with light.

A beam of light illuminated from his body and shot up into the sky. All of Magnolia could see the light in all of its glory.

To Fairy Tail, this had signified that they had won this battle.

But as the 8 teens laid in a circle on the ground, they were unaware to the dangers that faced them in the future.

But for now, they would be able to rest safely. As Fairy Tail had won the battle at hand.
