Percy and Annabeth walked through Central Park on a cool Saturday afternoon. Snow was falling. They were going skating.

Percy was extremely nervous. The small velvet case in his coat pocket felt like it weighed a few hundred pounds.

When they finally got on the ice, Percy twirled Annabeth around and they laughed together. A few people stared at Annabeth, as she had been in the paper a few times.

When Annabeth was facing away from him for a second, Percy took a deep breath.

"Hey Annabeth?"

"Hmm?" She turned to face him.

"We've been together since we were fifteen. Seven years. I'm surprised we're still alive. You're the smartest, most amazing person in the whole world. You're the most important person in my world. Wise Girl, would you like to put up with me for eternity as my wife?"

Percy got down on one knee and held out the ring. A silver ring with a sea green diamond.

Annabeth had a huge shit eating grin on her face.

"Of course I will Seaweed Brain! Any more stupid questions?" She laughed. She helped him up and he showed her the inside of the ring.
