There is a saying in modern society that money is ‘the root of all evil’. The love of money could explain  why people like to gamble – they want to get the best things in life with the least effort. Gambling is one of those social evils which are secretly eating our society like termites. It has destroyed thousands of families and individuals.

As we can see, Children in most of countries have been  introduced to gambling from an early age. For example, home card games or by picking out a funny name in a friends meeting. At first, the pleasures of gambling only cover the enjoyment of a few hours with friends at a Bingo event, horse racing, betting on sporting events, the lottery.

Then that feeling accelerates when they experience  excitement when they win, even small amounts. Most of the gamblers start gambling with little amount of money considering it as a fun but as the time passes they get addicted to this evil. Then it becomes difficult for them to leave.

Beside a kind of hobby, it is also considered a type of drug, once you tried it, then there is no way to turn back. The nature of this game is all the matter of luck but it extremely stimulate the desire to win in each of us and is hard to resist.

Gambling has left us significant impact. For individuals, when they lose too much money but they still want to go on, loan-shark are very pleased to lend them money with high illegal interest .Many people think that gambling can show off their skill and techniques . But have they ever thought about the result after that? Increasing debt,financial crisis, must depend on others, insecure, irritation, abandon their work and study or suicidal.  The problem is that they're  constantly thinking that continuing gambling will help solve financial difficulties and become a circulation.

For society, gambling leads to tons of other social evils, such as smoking and drinkings. In the worst case, it could disrupt the national security. The gamblers are willing to do anything to have money to satisfy their hobby including robbery, kidnapping or even murder.

From that, we can see that gambling bring about countless destructive consequences, not only for the gamblers themselves but also for the surroundings.

However, If we know how to prevent it, these threats will be solved, there will be no more gambling in particular and social evils in general. Each person has to take responsibility of themselves and their family so that there is no longer any victim because of lack of understanding.

In conclusion,gambling can be a pleasurable activity
and becomes a social evil when gambling is an addiction and the gambler starts to chase their losses. So keep a cool head and be lucid or else, you'll regret it.
