Emi

"Hello, Earth to Emi" Kazuna said, waving her hand in front of my face.

"Oops! Sorry!" I apologised, sticking my tongue out.

"What's on your mind?" Hanaka asked as she came and sat down next to us on our table.

"ARE YOU OKAY? IF SOMETHING'S WRONG, TELL ME!" Kazuna said, going right in my face.

"Calm down Kazuna! She's probably just in awe that the amazing Hanaka has come!" Hanaka said proudly. Kazuna rolled her eyes. Then they both turned to me.

"Everything is fine! Really! I was just wondering about when I'll put on my first solo performance" I replied.

"Have you tried asking the staff? They can usually set you up with a place. Or you could try going to venues. There's bound to be one open" Hanaka replied.

"I've already asked the teachers, and most of the venues around our school have already been booked" I said, sighing miserably.

"Hmm...well, just bring me with you! I am the amazing Hanaka after all. The best! So, once every venue knows that I'm coming, they'll clear out every booking they have for a performance, and we'll have plenty of times to chose from!" Hanaka said, flicking her hair.

"Yeah right" Kazuna muttered, rolling her eyes once more. Hanaka turned to her, looking seriously offended.

Kazuna looked back at me. "There has to be somewhere...and we won't rest until you've put on the amazing performance that you said you'd do!" Kazuna said, standing up and pulling me along.

"Excuse me, but don't leave me behind!" Hanaka said, rushing after us.

We had been walking around for a while now. After we were given permission to leave school grounds, the three of us went around, trying to find somewhere for me to perform. I'm glad that there weren't any lessons today. I didn't want to miss out on anything! After a while, Hanaka had to leave, because she had a fashion shoot to go to. After she wished me luck with finding a venue, she disappeared into the crowd.

"Please take one!" a girl said, handing us a flyer as we passed her.

I turned to see the girl with the raspberry red and orange ombré at the bottom, and the teal eyes, smiling at us. The girl I saw Hanaka with on the first day of school.

"Wait, are you Miru Akari?" I asked.

"Yep! I'm the stegosaurus idol!" she said. "How'd ya know?"

"We recently became friends with Hanaka, and she told us about her unit. You and her are Royal Sunshine right?" Kazuna said. Miru nodded happily.

"Hanaka said that you always have food on you! Can I have some please?" I asked, smiling broadly.

"We just had some sandwiches a few minutes ago..." Kazuna said, looking at me.

Miru laughed, and handed me a biscuit in the shape of a stegosaurus.

"Anyways, as you already know, I'm Miru Akari! And you two are Emi Miharu and Kazuna Hitori! Hanaka keeps talking about you two" Miru said. We smiled at her. I glanced down at the flyer Miru had handed me.

"A carnival is coming?" I asked.

"You bet! The headmistress asked me to hand these out. And there's going to be a live performance at the end! Kaguya from Epiphany was supposed to perform, but she won't make it today. That means the carnival manager will chose another idol! I'm going to ask if I can perform in Kaguya's place!" Miru said excitedly.

"This is your chance Emi!" Kazuna said to me.

"Right! I'm gonna ask too!" I said happily.

"Cool!" Miru commented cheerfully.

"Hey, T-Rex!" a boy with tea green hair with a hint of bright yellow, and greyish-greenish eyes came over to us. Miru's happy expression quickly turned into one of disgust.

"I am a stegosaurus, not a T-Rex. Get it right Takeo Yamashita!" Miru said angrily.

"Yeah whatever. I don't care" Takeo replied, grinning.

"AHHHHHH! Leave this server now!" Miru said.

"Server? We're not playing a video game you know" Takeo replied, smirking.

"THAT IS IT! FEEL THE WRATH OF AN ANGRY STEGOSAURUS!!!" Miru said, flailing her arms about. Kazuna and I looked at each other.

Takeo yawned. It was as if Miru's punches didn't even faze him.

"HA! I'm wearing five layers! So I can't feel a thing! And what do you always say? Oh yeah! Calm your farm" Takeo replied.

"THAT'S MY LINE THIEF!" Miru said. After another minute of this, Miru stopped.

"You leave me no choice... It is time for my ultimate move. The Miru Chop!" Miru exclaimed.

"Miru Chip?" Takeo said.

"Didn't Hanaka say something about that?" I asked Kazuna. She had started to creep away from Miru and Takeo.

"Uh...I think so. Hanaka says that Miru has this thing called the Miru Chop. Hanaka also said afterwards that Miru has terrible fashion sense. The notebook we found was actually Miru's. Hanaka had to write down fashion tips for her" Kazuna said.

"And now, she threatens me with the Hanaka Slap if she isn't satisfied with my fashion. It is her ultimate move... And then I am sad" Miru said, her eyes watering.

"Uhh" Kazuna blinked.

"Anyways, see ya T-Rex!" Takeo said, walking away, his laughter loud and clear.

"I AM A STEGOSAURUS!" Miru shouted at the top of her lungs. Some birds nearby flew away.

"...Okay then..." Kazuna said.

"Are you disturbed?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Ahem. Anyways, the carnival would have just arrived thirty minutes ago. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can ask to perform!" Miru said. "Let's go!"

"We're here!" Miru said. We found the manager, and he said that after he went to grab a cup of coffee, he would chose one of us to perform.

"Since Kaguya is a well-respected and extremely popular idol, I'm going to have to see which one of you is worthy enough" he said, before leaving to get his coffee.

"He's...a little scary" I said.

"Yeah..." Miru said. We found a grassy meadow nearby and sat in silence for a little while, until someone came running up to Miru. I was too busy to look up at first to see who it was. I was beginning to feel anxious.

"Hey, it's Hanaka!" Miru said.

Hanaka shot a terrifying look in Miru's direction.

"Calm your farm" Miru said.

"You deserve a Hanaka Slap. That design you drew in the notebook is HIDEOUS!" Hanaka stated.

"It's a stegosaurus" Miru replied.

"YOU CANNOT WEAR THAT IF YOU'RE GOING TO PERFORM. I WILL NOT LET YOU PERFORM IN A STEGOSAURUS SUIT" Hanaka said.

"Dang it" Miru muttered.

"You two are hilarious!" I said, laughing.

"You two need help" Kazuna said.

"We still haven't seen the manager pass. So let's play a game!" Miru suggested.

"Yeah!" Kazuna and Hanaka agreed.

"I think I'll just go run around this area for a bit" I said, getting up.

"This isn't like Emi..." Kazuna muttered anxiously. "She must be really nervous at the moment."

"Why?" Miru questioned, tilting her head.

"Because Emi is actually serious about this. Unlike you. You're just mucking about" Hanaka hissed. It was clear that Hanaka despised Miru's stegosaurus outfit.

Miru went quiet. She broke the silence afterwards.

"I'm going to go join Emi!" Miru said, standing up.

"I don't think she quite understood" Kazuna said.

"Most definitely" Hanaka replied.

The manager, and his team that were setting up for the performance, were bombarding Miru and I with questions. They took a while to decide, but they finally told us who was going to perform. I was genuinely happy with the results.

"How'd it go?" Kazuna asked. I smiled happily at her.

"Judging by your happy face, you won?" Hanaka asked. I shook my head.

"ARE YOU OKAY? IF YOU NEED TO CRY, YOU CAN! IT'S OKAY TO CRY! WE WILL FIND YOU SOMEWHERE ELSE TO PERFORM, I PROMISE!" Kazuna said, hugging me to death.

"Now who's the crazy one" Hanaka muttered. "But Kazuna's right!"

"I'm honestly fine! I think they made the right decision.

"I think that they have gotten hit in the head too many times. MIRU'S GOING TO WEAR A STEGOSAURUS OUTFIT ON STAGE. NO ONE WILL BE IMPRESSED" Hanaka said.

"Miru has actually already designed her first rare coord. She showed it to the manager and the team. It really suits her!" I said cheerfully.

"Then that can't be good..." Hanaka said slowly.

"Now, everyone, it is time for the live! If you didn't already know, Kaguya will not be joining us today" the lady on stage said. Some people wailed. Half the people in the crowd were shocked.

"BUT we do have a special guest! From Stardust Academy, the school were Epiphany goes to, is the aspiring idol, Miru Akari!"

Miru walked on stage.

"Hello everyone! I'm Miru Akari! I may not be live up to the expectations you had tonight, but I'll make sure you all have a fun time!" Miru said, doing a fist pump in the air.

"A fun time..." I said quietly, processing her words.

Miru waved to the audience and left to go the the fitting room.

"Miru Akari, giving it my absolute all!"

Kazuna, Hanaka and I all smiled at one another. I may not have performed, but like the words that Miru had sung in her song, do your best! And that's what I'm going to do!

"What did you think of my performance?" Miru said, bounding up to us after she left the stage.

"Your coord was okay" Hanaka said.

"I didn't say coord" Miru muttered unhappily.

"Hanaka and I both loved it" Kazuna said, smiling.

"Thanks!" Miru said, she turned to me.

"I'm sorry Emi" Miru told me, looking down to the ground.

"What for?" I asked, confused.

"You wanted to perform really badly, and you were serious about this. I didn't really focus or take this seriously, so I might not have deserved to perform" Miru said.

"That's not true! And I'm glad that you were chosen" I said grinning.

"Huh?"

"I wouldn't have been able to put on a performance as amazing as yours. All those fans would've just been disappointed. And your bubbly and cheerful attitude suits a carnival. I was overthinking this when I should have just been myself. That's what they were looking for and have fun. An idol that can let the audience have a good time" I said, sticking my tongue out.

"Spoken like a true top idol" Miru said. It was my turn to be surprised.

"You would've done amazing! Everyone would've loved you! I'm one hundred percent certain that you'll become a top idol!" Miru said happily.

I smiled. "I just can't stand here anymore!" I said afterwards, running.

"Where are you going Emi?" Kazuna asked.

Kazuna, Hanaka and Miru ran after me and caught up.

"I'm heading to my dreams! And I'm not going to rest until I've reached them!"

Also, just so ya know, the summer uniform will basically be the exact same uniform, except with short sleeves :D
