POV: Y/n(Kakoshi)

As Akame and I were walking through Toushi Town, as per Akame’s request, when I stopped at a bar for info. “I’m lookin’ fer some folks with my pardner ‘ere.” I said to the barkeep. “I’ll answer if you order something.” He replied, cleaning a glass. “Get me a whisk’y.” I said throwing a coin down, “Now, the folk we’re lookin’ fer, their names’re Tsukushi an’ Green, ring any bells?” “Yeah, the names are familiar.” The barman said handing me my drink, “I think they’re in the woods. Good luck.” “Thank ya.” I said leaving the bar with Akame, who was wearing a hooded cloak to conceal her identity.

“That was too simple.” Akame said, as we walked through the woods. “Yeah, a trap may be set I doubt those two will be that easy to find,” I said, sensing people, “I’m pickin’ up two auras, lets split up.” “Okay.” Akame said heading towards one. Let’s see who we ‘ave up ‘ere. I thought walking through the woods, seeing something glimmer on the ground. What’do we ‘ave here, looks like a coin. Just then I felt something near my neck.

“OH NO YA DON’T!” I shouted, grabbing the cord trying to go around my neck and pulling it onto the ground in front of me. On the ground I saw an aged black haired man with a scruffy black beard, green eyes and glasses. He wore a green coat with a popped collar and wielded a whip-like weapon. “Who the ‘ell are ya?” I said with my knife, which I made from the land tiger blade at his throat. “I’ll never tell you!” he said not fearing death, but instead, without moving, had his whip grabbing my hand, tossing me away and dropping my knife. “How the hell’d ya do that?” I asked drawing my katana. “You’ll find out in the grave!” My opponent said as I charged at him. “That won’t work.” He said using his whip to hold onto my knife.

The blades clashed as neither of us made advancements towards the other, after a few moments, I made an opening by flicking my katana to the left and charged in to stab him. “STOP!!!!” I heard Akame shout, and instinctively, I stopped, my blade a few centimeters from his chest, but so did my opponent, with my knife almost on my throat. “Akame?” He said looking in his direction to see Akame and some brunette with brown eyes. “Hey Akame, ya know this man?” I asked as my opponent glared at me. “Akame,” My opponent said, having my knife rest on my throat, “How do you know this scum. “Green,” Akame started, “He’s my partner, a member of Night Raid.” “So the rumors were true,” the brunette said hugging Akame. “Akame why?” Green asked walking towards the duo, “Why did you join the enemy?” “Because I was shown how corrupt the Empire truly was,” Akame said “and Y/n here can prove it to you.” "H-how so?” the girl asked.

“I came from a small vill’ge called Yarlford, where my master an’ I were inquisitors for the Empire.” I started, “One day we lef’ with Stiker, a fellow Teigu user, to apprehend a criminal throughout the area, an’ when we returned, our vill’ge slaughtered, my master’s children, dead, wife died in his arms. Stiker’s fam’ly was also found dead. My master an’ I ran after the killer, we tracked ‘im down, but t’was an ambush, my master died an’ fused with me so I could hunt ‘im down. I found the man I was after, he was being protected by the Empire. After I killed that man, I joined Night Raid because I was homeless.” “Wait you were a slave?” Tsukushi asked. “No, I’m a teigu.” I started, “It’s a long story.”

After explaining my backstory, our two acquaintances looked in understanding. “So you’re a teigu?” Tsukushi said, “That’s amazing!” “It is strange to say the least.” Green said, “But why are you two here?” “Y/n here used a revolver.” Akame started, “and we were going to see if he could use Prometheus.” I could see the two look at each other in a form of discussion. “I don’t see a problem with Y/n using Prometheus,” Tsukushi started, “I busted my fingers a few months ago, and haven’t been able to move my fingers for a while so using Prometheus is pointless.” “Wow! Thank ya!” I said as she handed me Prometheus, “Say, Y/n” Green started, “what are the odds of some former Imperial assassins getting into Night Raid?”

Just then I felt a gust of wind approach us from the side. “Sorry, but none of you are getting out of here.” A man said darting in wearing  a black trench coat and fedora. “T-t-tempest?” Green said seeing the man run in. “I see I’m well known in the Empire, even to the renegade, treacherous scum.” Tempest said readying his fist, “I’ll kill the four of you right here! Air Palm!” As he said that I saw him palm the air, sending the four of us back. “It’s time fer a fight!” I said drawing my katana, “Mimic; Elemental He-” I was interrupted by myself coughing up blood

“Now we can’t have you trying to kill me,” Tempest said, his fist, lodged in my stomach, “H-h-how the hell’d y-y-ya do that?” I asked, “You’ll find out eventually.” Tempest taunted Mimic; Pumpkin! I thought having a plan. “MIMIC; ELEMENTAL HEAR-” I shouted as Tempest punched me in the stomach, “Do you assassin’s not learn?” he asked. “Yea we do.” I said punching him back sending him flying. “My my my,” Tempest said, “That’s really smart. I’ll make sure you don’t do that again.” Mimic; Elemental Heart! I thought turning my fists into stone. “DAMN YA TO HELL!” I shouted running at Tempest, as we started punching each other. I could feel him hit me countless times for every one punch I got on him.

“Y/n!” Green said having his whip wrap around my abdomen and pulling my back, “Use this!” Tsukushi said tossing a revolver toward me. “This is Prometheus. It’ll help you on your journey.” “Thank ya.” I said checking that Prometheus was loaded, “Let’s test ‘im out!” “It will just be a waste!” Tempest said. “Try me then!” I shouted firing at his head. “That won’t work.” Tempest said waving his finger to the side, as I saw my bullet fly by him. Damn I missed my shot, I thought, How the ’ell’d that ‘appen? Just then I saw the bullet curve and head back toward Tempest.

Just then, Tempest caught the bullet coming for the back of his head. “Unfortunately,” Tempest started, “time is running low for this bought, but I can take one of you down before this ends.” Tempest then threw the bullet at Green, hitting him in the abdomen. “Now,” Tempest said bowing, “I bid you adieu.” As he said that a gust of wind came up and Tempest disappeared. “Green!” Akame shouted running to his side, “We’ll help you, just stay awake.” “A-a-akame,” Green said weakly, “I-i-i’m sorry.” As he said that, he passed out. “Mimic; Perfector. Mimic; Cross Tails.” I said running up to him, entering the wound and removing the bullet and sewing the wound together. “The wound’s closed.” I said using nature’s power to heal Green, “but I ain’t sure how this’ll work.” “Y/n,” Tsukushi started, “please let this work.”

A few minutes later Green woke back up. “What did I miss?” He asked sitting up as Akame and Tsukushi hugged him. “Ya went unconscious fer a while.” I said, walking up, “Glad yer still ‘live.” “Thank you Y/n,” Green said, “I guess we can’t head back to the Empire, does Night Raid have an opening?” “I’d say we do,” I started, “but if ya even think ‘bout turnin’ on us, I won’t hesitate to kill y’all. An’ I’m startin’ to like y’all.” “I would do the same in your situation Y/n.” Green said getting up and shaking my hand. “I guess we’re working together again Akame!” Tsukushi said with glee. “Yeah,” Akame replied with a slight blush, “lets return home.” “It’ll be strange,” Green started, “fighting the Empire that is.” “Yer gonna get used to it after a while.” I said as the four of us left for HQ.

“We’re back Boss!” I said as we entered the building, “An’ we brought comp’ny!” “Good, I take it your mission was successful.” Boss said seeing us walk in, “Are these new recruits?” “Yes ma’am.” Akame said, “They worked with me in the Elite Seven, and I trust them with my life.” “What are their names?” Boss asked as everyone walked in to see two new people. “I’m Tsukushi!” Tsukushi said while waving. “And my name is Green.” Green said bowing. “I don’t support them joining.” Mine said in her usual tone. “Mine,” Tatsumi started, “Will you ever act nice toward the new guys?” “When I see that they are fit.” Mine smirked. “By the way,” Tatsumi started, “I’m Tatsumi, the snob is Mine.” I could see our new recruits looked confused, “The idiot means my name is Mine.” Mine said. “Hang on,” Chelsea said pointing at Green, “I know you! You’re one of those Imperial Assassins!” “Former Imperial Assassin.” Green said.

“I think it’s gettin’ close to supper time.” I said heading to the kitchen, “I’mma get started, Susanoo, Akame wanna lend a hand?” “I’ll be there in a moment.” Susanoo said greeting the recruits. “Y/n,” Green started, “Mind if I help, I know my way around a kitchen.” “I don’t see a problem with that.” I said as I entered the kitchen.

After fixing the meal, we all sat together and got to know each other better. “So who has the most confirmed kills?” Green asked. “That’s most likely Akame or Chelsea,” Sheele started, “However Kakoshi and I have been fighting for the life of the Empire.” Susanoo said. “Yea but I don’t ‘member ev’ry last kill’a mine.” I responded laughing. “At some point,” Boss started, “We will take a day off to get properly acclimated with each other. But first, we are to be heading to our new base, closer to the Capital.”
