POV: None

The Jagers ran out of the Capital on white horses, heading east to the big battle. In the distance, two revolutionary soldiers sat in the brush watching the entrance to the Capital. "It's Esdeath and the other Jägers!" One of the soldiers said, "All six of them are heading east on horseback!" "Miss. Najenda's plan's right on the mark!" said the other guard as he wrote down a brief report on a clipboard. Soon, a falcon flew down. "It's up to you Margue Falcon." The soldier with the note said holding up the paper, "Bring this information to Night Raid!" The falcon then flew away carrying the letter. The guard them thought to himself, "It's an incredibly dangerous mission, but you need to survive, Night Raid! We need you in order to break down this depraved world.

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

I, along with Akame, Mine, Tsukushi, Green and Ms. Najenda, were standing on a cliff watching the others play on the beach when a falcon carrying a note arrived. "I'm assummin' that's the note of the Jägers movements." I said cleaning Prometheus. "Yes." Najenda said turning to face us, "I received this information from revolutionary spies. You guys are to nonchalantly attract attention as we planned." "Roger!" Mine said readying Pumpkin. "Yes ma'am." I said looking down watching everyone have fun. "I'm gonna do somethin'. Mimic; Cross Trails." I had created a cord to make an anchor into a nearby oak tree and I started to repel down to meet the others.

When I got down there I sat back and watched the scene unfold in front of me. "Weelll," Lubbock said staring at everyone in the water, "it sure is nice to be able to see the girls in their swimsuits, in a place like this." "Stop drooling over them," Tatsumi said, "this is part of the plan too." "Huh!?" Lubbock said as I walked up behind them. "Are you stupid? Are you homo!?" "No," I responded, scarring both of them "he's just respect'ble." "Tatsumiii!" Leone said leaning over as Chelsea and Sheele stood behind her, "Between the three of us, whose swimsuit do you like better?" "Ohhh," Chelsea said with a smirk, "I'd like to hear the answer to that." "I would as well." Sheele said as Chelsea and Leone messed with Tatsumi. "I, I, well, uh." Tatsumi stuttered, looking at me and Susanoo in our swimsuits, "Wow, Y/n, you and Suu are fit." "Aww, he ran away." Leone said before Lubbock had started complaining. "If they asked me, I'd yell 'I love them both, of course!' And then I'd jump into their chests while singing the national anthem! Why'd you ask Tatsumi!" "Lubbock, ya answered yer own question." I responded, holding Sheele in my arms, "An' they wouldn't ask me, cause they knew I'd be biased." "Yeah, it's because you're you Lubbock." "Wait, Y/n, don't you have to go out on that mission?" Tatsumi said as I started walking away, "Yeah," I responded, "I'm 'bout to head out, wanna to see how ya'll's doin' fore I leave." "Well, good luck man!" Tatsumi yelled as climbed back up the mountain I had descended earlier.

"You guys really are noisy." Mine said as I made it back to the known group, "Ain't my fault." I responded "What's wrong Akame?" Tsukushi asked, "Are you thinking about Kurome?" "Yeah," Akame replied softly before sitting down, "She's chasing after me as a target, after all. I just end up thinking about a lot of things." "Don't forget," I added as Mine and the others moved towards her in comfort, "she's huntin' us s'well." "Even if your sister dies," Mine said "Don't you say you're alone, even if you say it by accident. You have us. You should be grateful." "She's right lass," I responded, kneeling before her, "we're all here for ya, through thick an' thin." "Exactly!" Tsukushi replied hugging Akame, "We've been with you every step of the way, and will will be until the end of time." "Akame," Green said, "I hope you remember what I told you all those years ago. If you do, those words were and still are as true as I am." "I still think I'm not the one." Akame said with a smile as Green joined the hug. "Alright, group hug." I said hugging the group in front of me. "Hey, Tsukushi, ya might want this." I said as I handed her Prometheus. "Won't you need it?" she asked perplexed. "No, I'll stick in melee with my target." I responded.

The Next Day, POV: Run

All of the Jägers were outside a shop on Romari Road, discussing the information I was given by Y/n. "Najeda is continuing east," Esdeath said, eating her treat, "and Akame is moving south! Their party's been witnessed splitting into two groups after coming here." "If you go east," Bols said, "you'll come upon Kyoroch, where the headquarter for The Path of Peace is located." "If you keep going south," Esdeath added, you'll find cities that support the rebels. In any case, this is suspicious." "If we hurry," Wave said excitedly, "we can quickly catch up to them. Let's go!" "Well wait." Esdeath said promptly, "Night Raid's members are criminals from the Capital. Since the wanted posters haven't circulated to the local regions, they were seen and tracked, on to of that, they were witnessed splitting into two groups, and to top this off, Blondie was spotted, and we don't know what he looks like underneath all of his armor, meaning he wore his armor on the trip. Isn't this too convenient Run?" "I know it seems that way," I started covering the truth that only I knew, "but some experienced hunters from the Capital were in the area, and noticed them fighting some danger beasts, they saw them leave and decided to return. They assumed they would be outclassed."

"I still believe there's a high probability of this being a trap." Esdeath said, doubting my story. "Don't shoot the messenger." I responded biting into my loaf of bread. "What's their reason for being so careless?" Bols asked, "Maybe it's to lure us out of the Capital and defeat us there?" Seryu said keeping Koro away from her treat. "Najeda is like that." Esdeath said, "She fights calmly, with a burning heat." "So that means it's dangerous to give chase." Wave said holding his chin. "No," Esdeath started, "We won't waste this opportunity. Night Raid, who've been hiding themselves until now, have carelessly revealed themselves. We'll prepare for there trap, and then squash them, trap and all! Seryu, Run and I will follow Najeda. Kurome, Wave, and Bols, you chase Akame and Blondie. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. And I don't care if you have to retreat because the enemy's waiting for you with overwhelming numbers. We might be on the offense here, but I'm not telling you to do a suicide attack after all. They are the final rats who oppose the Capital. CHASE THEM DOWN AND FINISH THEM OFF WITHOUT FAIL!!" "ROGER!!" We said reddying our arms.

POV: Kurome

Wave, Bols and I were riding our horses on the trail of my sister and Y/n, although, Wave still doesn't know about who Blondie is. We had made it into a small valley, the perfect place for an ambush if there would be one. Bols was looking incredibly nervous, he was very close to Y/n, it did hurt him to see him leave us, it hurt us all. "You nervous Bols?" Wave asked, breaking the silence between us. "Yes," Bols responded, "Our opponents are the Capital's strongest, Night Raid. I wonder if someone like me can win." "It'll be alright." Wave said, "When I fought Blondie and Bulat, Bulat didn't fight back and Blondie managed to escape by blinding me temporarily, but in terms of skill, I think we all were equals. If we all work together, we'll definitely win! Your Teigu's suited for fighting crowds, so in fact it's heartening to be with you!"

"You're saying cool things like that," I said with a smirk, "but I feel like you're going to be the one holding us back the most Wave." "WHAAAT!!?" Wave said in shock, "ARE YOU SAYING YOU CAN'T TRUST IN MY ABILITY!?" "Yep." I responded, "I kind of feel like you'd be weak when we really need you." "WELL YOU KNOW IF I EQUIP GRAND CHARIOT!!" Wave retorted as I tormented him. "Then show me how strong you are." I responded as Bols broke up our disagreement. "Hey, there's something in front of us." Wave said as we stopped and dismounted our horses. "It looks like a scarecrow," I said, "but why is there one all the way out here?" "It's suspicious to say the least," Bols said as Wave neared the scarecrow, "there's no real reason as to why it's here. It'll be bad if this is a trap."

POV: Mine

I was resting in the prone position aiming at the valley by Y/n who was disguised as a scarecrow. Targets sighted. I thought looking at and zooming in on the three Jägers walking through the valley. Looking at their numbers, Esdeath split her group and went east after Boss herself. Just as we planned. As I zoomed in on Kurome, I realized how similar she was to Akame, it actually stunned me. They really are similar, I thought getting into a crouching position, as expected of them being sisters. That's why, I don't want Akame to have to do this. I'll take care of her!! I'll at least do it quickly, with one shot. As I fired Pumpkin, I saw the beam head right for Kurome's head, however at the last second she jumped to the side, avoiding the shot entirely. HOW THE FUCK DID SHE SEE THAT!? I thought, What was that superhuman reaction time just now!?

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

I was watching Wave, Bols and Kurome, hoping my plan would work. I heard Pumpkin fire and saw Kurome sidestep the beam that was forced to land behind her. Mimic: Elemental Heart! Mimic: Incursio! Mimic: Rubicante! I thought transforming from the scarecrow to my armor and dashing towards Kurome. "KUROME!" Wave shouted jumping in front of Kurome, "WATCH OUT!!" "Wrong one." I said in a low tone as I punched wave with enough force to send him flying over the horizon. "Wave!" Bols said as I deactivated my armor and holding up my left hand. "Howdy." I said rubbing the back of my neck, "Sooo, uhhh, I gotta deal ta make." "What do you mean Y/n?" Bols asked, "Y'all see," I said nervously, "I uhh, I gotta kill y'all, cause outta all the Jägers, the two of you are priority targets." "I see." Bols said looking down, "It's because I've burned countless people, countless homes, I feel that nothing can be done about if I'm a targeted by assassins, but I WILL NOT DIE!!" "Woah, woah, woah, easy man," I said holding my hand out to stop hims as he drew Rubicante, "I don't wanna kill either'a y'all, so I persuaded my Boss to let me try to get y'all to surrender. But I have one chance. What'da y'all say?" "Will I get to see my family again?" Bols asked, "Not until the war is over, everyone must believe you're dead." "I'll take my chances." Bols said as Kurome unsheathed Yatsufusa.

"I'm sorry guys. I really wanted to save y'all." I said as a ball of fire grew in my left hand. "JUST MAKE THIS QUICK!" as I shouted that I threw the ball of fire and reactivated my armor and used lightning to teleport to Wave. "Get up boy." I said in a low tone as Wave stood up "You can't run away this time!" Wave said as Grand Chariot formed around him. "I don't need to!" I said as we charged at each other. Mimic: Murasame! Mimic: Cross Tails!

POV: Akame

After Y/n had warped away I stood there, facing off against my sister. "Sis." she said, holding Yatsufusa upward by the handle. "Kurome." I responded holding Murasame's sheathe, "I've really been wanting to see you." She said, placing her hands together, "Thank God. If I cut you down, I can add you to Yatsufusa's collection." I drew Murasame as Kurome did the same with Yatsufusa, then holding up in the air as black lightning struck around the ground near us and the tip of her blade. Hands started to emerge from the ground as an earthquake struck around us. "Wha, what the hell is that?" Tatsumi said as a large skeletal hand busted through the cliff face behind her showing four other humanoids emerging from the ground. "Unlike from before," Kurome said as she dusted rocks off her shoulder, "if it's a dead body, I've become able to make anything a puppet. Sis..."

The skeletal hand then opened its palm before Kurome sat down, lifting her up to the shoulder of a skeletonized Danger Beast. "Even if it's the Ultra-Class Danger Beast Desta Ghoul." We all readied our Teigu as Kurome laughed, "Now then," she started, "the Teigu battle is starting. I wonder how many are doing to die?"

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

Wave and I had rushed in to a melee of punches. "You just trying to stall?" Wave asked as he sent me sliding backwards. "No." I said in a deep voice as he summoned a spear like that of Incursio's, and drawing my katana while having a string attach to , "I'm only just beginning!" I then covered the blade in flames as I cut a kanji symbol in the air [死 I hope this works][hey, it did!] "Mu-Ra-Sa-Me Flaming Assault!" As I said this I pushed the burning kanji towards Wave, having it wrap around his armor before I threw my katana and turned my left hand into stone. "Was that supposed to hurt?" Wave asked as he caught my katana. "NOPE!" I shouted as I punched him in the face with my stone fist, denting his faceplate that had been softened by the flames, "T'was a distraction." "You did good." Wave said feeling the dent in his armor, "You have some power, what lies under that helmet of yours?" "Oh, you'll see." I said in a now voice. Mimic: Gaea Foundation. Mimic: Spectator. I thought as I transformed my face and deactivated my armor.

POV: Wave

I watched as a cloud of smoke surrounded Blondie signaling the reversion of his armor. "No, it can't be." I said as I saw Tatsumi behind the mask, "I thought you were with us?" "I never was." he said pointing the Y/n's sword at me, "face me Wave, General Esdeath won't believe you without my head." "How did you get Y/n's stuff?" I asked as I deactivated my armor. "Oh, when I fled," Tatsumi responded "he tried to stop me, and it cost him his life. I figured the stuff didn't need to go to waste." "You'll pay for that!" I shouted rushing at him, "You'll pay for killing a member of the Jäegers!"

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

Ya don't even know. I thought as we both reactivated our armor and attacked each other. "Answer me this traitor," Wave as we activated our armors, "why did you take his clothes too?" "I needed a disguise." I said in Tatsumi's voice, "It's not like I could walk around with my normal clothes. Someone would recognize me, so I figured a change of apparel was appropriate. I was quite lucky they fit me." "YOU BASTARD!!!" Wave shouted as he rushed in and punched my armor. Just like I wanted. Mimic: Mastema. I thought as I turned my fists into large stones and my cape formed into a pair of wings. I then proceeded to pummel him back towards the main group of fighters before landing an uppercut, launching him back towards the main fight. I turned my lower body into a mass of flames and flew as fast as I could to continue pummeling Wave in the direction I wanted him to.

POV: Akame

I had leapt up to attack Kurome, only for her to block my apparently telegraphed attack. The user's movements will become slower if they control eight corpses at once. I thought as I grew a scowl on my face, I will not miss this opportunity!! After a second I slid forward with a roll and landed in the shoulder of the Desta-ghoul. Kurome turned around and swung vertically down at me as I dodged to the right as I slid backwards. As I stopped I dashed forward swinging Murasnaginata. Jumping back, I saw a face appear beside the man before me. A face I recognized all too well. "Natala!" I said in shock as I felt a tear swell up in my eyes. The tears didn't have time to form completely as Natala had started to throw a series of jabs with his weapon Trisula. "He's a childhood friend, isn't he!?" I shouted, avoiding the flurry of attacks from Natala and Trisula, "Return him to the Earth already!"

As Natala rushed at me, Kurome slashed at me. "It's because he was my friend that I want to always be with him." she said as our blades clashed. "What're you saying, Sis?" I asked as I got my footing from moving backwards. "I'll add you to my collection too, sis." Kurome said as her blade slide up closer to me, "If I do that, we'll be together, like before." "Don't... joke... around." I said with a struggle as I saw her blade near my cheek. "How unfortunate." she said jumping back as Natala hit me in the chest with the pommel of Trisula sending me off the shoulder of beast.

I heard a scream and saw a blue suit fly past me before a mass of brown and orange immediately followed, kicking up a large dust cloud as I barely heard someone speak from within the cloud. "Magma drive." it said as an orange light glowed in the dust before it grew closer to me, the heat dissipating the dust around it. So that Teigu can do long-distance shots too...!!! I thought as a bead of sweat rolled down my cheek, either from nerves or the extreme heat of the fireball flying at me. I felt a pair of arms grab me as I was 'carried' away from the fireball by Tatsumi. "DON'T RUSH IN BY YOURSELF!" Tatsumi shouted as I could see his face even though his armor was still active, "This isn't like you, Akame!" "I'm sorry...." I responded. "Looks like this isn't an enemy we'll be able be able to defeat easily." Tatsumi said as we landed. "Sis..." Kurome said, "You betrayed us, and joined people like that... KILL THEM! Desta-ghoul!"

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

I had landed after pummeling Wave into the ground from our dueling confrontation. "KILL THEM! Desta Ghoul!" I heard Kurome shout as I Punched Wave, sending him backwards 20 feet. Desta Ghoul? I thought turning around and seeing the large skeletal Danger Beast behind us as I felt something that hadn't struck me in a long time.

"Master Nick," I said as my master and I were running through a collection of shrubbery to a burning village, "the Desta Ghoul has already destroyed three villages, and that is ignoring the wielder of the Cloning Teigu, Duplex, is still on the run, and quite possibly in the town currently under attack by the Desta Ghoul." "I know." Nick said as we neared the town, "I want you to hide your abilities until I give the go-ahead." "Why is that master?" I asked as the Desta Ghoul reared back its head and charged up an orange ball of energy and prepared to fire it into the village. The next thing I saw was another Desta Ghoul appear in front of the first one. "There is our target, Master Nick." I said as we ran towards the village. "Then we must kill him!" my Master said as I felt an unknown, outside force shaking me. I watched the first Desta Ghoul fired its fireball at me and master Nick. As it grew closer we realized there was no chance of dodging. "KAKOSHI!" Nick shouted as he placed his hand on my shoulder, "I'm not going to survive this. Final Order; Find and kill our target, and learn how his teigu works. Fusion NOW!"

POV: Wave

I saw that Tatsumi had started to stare at Kurome's Desta Ghoul and ignoring me. I summoned my spear and charged at him. I didn't want to kill my friend, even if he had killed Y/n, Tatsumi was still my friend. As I got close to him I reflexively closed my eyes, only to slide forward along my spear as I heard it clash metal. "You will not hurt him." came a female voice as I opened my eyes. I saw a purple haired female before me with lilac eyes and purple, royal-like clothes of a matching color wielding a massive pair of scissors. "You won't hurt him." She said defending Tatsumi. "I will not let you defend that murderer!" I shouted as I stood back with my spear, "I will not let Y/n's killer go free!" As I charged at the female, she looked at me with wide eyes, glancing back to Tatsumi as the tip of my spear collided with the blades of her scissors. "I won't allow it." she said launching me backwards a few feet. As I landed an orange beam burned through the two of them, and moved towards me as I reflexively stepped back.

POV: Kurome

"So it changed the terrain." I said as I ate a cookie, my hand quivering from nerves about Y/n. "All but Y/n and that Sheele girl dodged it. I expected more from them, being members of Night Raid and all that. I believe Y/n survived, seeing as he is a Teigu. But that Sheele girl, she has to be dead." Did the Desta Ghoul hold back? I thought as I watched the members of Night Raid reemerge from their cover. I saw Y/n stand up running towards Wave as stone crumbled from the center of the blast revealing that purple haired Sheele to be perfectly fine from being protected by the stone. So she did survive, albeit clumsily. I thought with a scoff, She's only alive because of her. Guards reported that Blondie had single handedly beaten Kuro and Seryuu when the two before struggled to land a hit. He needs someone better, like me.

POV: Lubbock

Green's whip had grabbed me after I fell from the tree due to the shockwave from the Desta Ghoul. "Thanks." I begrudgingly said as I crawled up the tree. "The battle's begun." Green aid as I thought back to our orders. "For the upcoming battle, Chelsea," Najeda said to me, Chelsea, and Green, "I want you to attack the enemy or assist the others as the opportunity arises. You're a master of assasination, but you aren't suited for direct combat. I leave the timings and whatnot up to you." "Rooooger." Chelsea said with a peace sign, "I'll work efficiently, just watch." "Lubbock," Najenda said looking at me and Green, "you and Green are lookout. Put up a barrier and keep an eye on the skies." "Yes ma'am." Green said with a bow, "And Lubbock," Najeda said as she put her hand on my shoulder, "if Esdeath's part of the group is to come to us, keep them away, Use Cross Tail's Trump Card if you must." "Wha?" I said in shock, "It's an important mission," She said as her eye met mine, I could get lost in that light purple sphere, "I've created plans so Esdeath and the others won't come, but there's no telling what'll happen in an actual battle. I want to leave it to you, since you have a flexible way or thinking." "UNDERSTOOD!" I shouted with a pumped fist, "I WILL MEET YOU EVERY EXPECTATION!" Ms. Najenda, I thought looked out at the ensuing battle, I'll fulfill my role, without fail. And... maybe it's about time I try confessing my feelings to her after we get back from this. If I'm careless, she'll get taken away by Suu like Sheele with Y/n. Dammit! This isn't the time to be thinking about this! Focus Lubbock, focus! "She didn't." Green said in an aggressive tone as his grip tightened on Sidewinder, "We were told Natala was killed by a member of the Revolutionary Army. Not Kurome. I'm sorry Lubbock, but I have to leave you alone for a while. I need to put a friend to rest." "If you need to get the hell out of dodge, do it." I aid as Green jumped out of the tree and ran towards Mine, since she was closest to Kurome and the puppets.

POV: Suu

I stood in front of the Desta Ghoul, protecting Ms. Najenda from any harm. I watched the skeletal beast pull back its fist for a strong punch. When the attack was released I grabbed Ms. Najenda and swiftly dashed to the right. "As expected," I said as I stopped moving, "what incredible destructive power." "Susanoo!" Najenda said, "We'll all stop it together!" "That order is mistaken, Najenda." I said as I walked towards the foe, "It's certainly a fearsome foe. However," As I said this the beast reached out to crush me, before I countered by sending its hand into the air, "I can handle this myself... have everyone go for the others!" "Hmph." Najenda said behind me, "As expected of my teigu."

POV: Mine

I had been looking through my scope at Kurome and the blonde haired guard she had with her. If I can just defeat Kurome, I thought, The puppets will return to the earth. I'll shoot her down this time for sure! As I tightened my aim on Kurome's head, the blonde guard walked in front of her, looking right at me. After doing that the guard grabbed his weapon, and flipped it up, reflecting the sunlight in my eye, blinding me before seeing that the blade had extended towards me. I watched as the blade neared my throat before I felt something wrap around me waist and pull me out of the way.

POV: Green

Seeing Trisula extent towards Mine, I used Sidewinder to grab her and pull her to safety. "Careful." I said watching a female in a western getup, although different to the one worn by Kakoshi, wielding two revolvers, which both looked like Prometheus, angled sideways rushing towards us along the shaft of Trisula. "I'll be taking those for a friend." I said as I blocked two shots with the end of Sidewinder before running the end up a tree and reversing my grip. I threw a left hook with my free hand knocking down her hand and grabbing the revolver in that hand before taking it into my possession. Continuing my plan, I spun and knocked the female to the ground, pinning her there as I had Sidewinder wrap around her neck before I lifted the hilt of Sidewinder, ripping her head off, pulling off a few verberes as Mine gawked in horror. "Is THAT how you kill?" "No," I calmly said, whipping the blood off Sidewinder with a loud crack, "I prefer to remain hidden." "Then why come out of hiding?" Mine asked as I glared at Kurome. "Because I have a friend to avenge." I said tossing the revolver to Mine, "Give this to Tsukushi." I noticed that the puppets corpse still had a revolver left. "Not my weapon of choice," I said inspecting the firearm like Kakoshi and Tsukushi would, "but I could get some use out of this. I doubt Kurome would expect me to use one. And it looks like I've got a full chamber."

POV: Tatsumi

I was standing off against a apeman after saving Akame and watching Y/n bring Wave back into this fight. "So this one's the cope of a danger beass too, huh, I haven't seen these before." I said as I looked over my shoulder at Y/n boxing Wave towards me and Sheele running towards Akame. I then heard the beast growl before it charged at me, swinging down as I countered with a right hook. Dodging the attack, the apeman bit into my arm, only to be sent flying back by Y/n who had been sent flying back by Wave. "Careful Bulat," Y/n said burning the beast to ash, "Wave's a bit pissed off." What? I thought as Wave rushed in to attack Y/n. "TATSUMI!!!" Wave cried out as he slowly walked towards me and Y/n, "YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY!!! YOU WILL PAY FOR THE DEATH OF Y/N!!!"

In this confusion I failed to notice that another puppet, this being a humanoid with a red face mask approached me and made a jab at me with a black blade, similar to the one I forged back home. The blade would have hit my shoulder however the cape on Incursio transformed into the head of a dragon and bit into the blade. I summoned my spear in retaliation and made multiple jabs towards, missing each one. "Inexperienced..." The man said as he effortlessly dodged my attacks "perienced... perienced." As I threw one final jab with my spear, the man disappeared for a split second before reappearing on the tip of my spear and attempting to stab me in the forehead.

I heard the blade snap as the man jumped back. If Incursio hadn't blocked it, I thought, I would've been killed by this guy. Who, or what is this guy!? "I .. failed... failed." "Hey Bulat!" Y/n said as he moved to my back, "I've faced these guys before, wanna swap?" "Fine." I said as Y/n flipped over me and delivering a powerful kick into the puppet, sending it off into the woods. "Alright, I'm done." Y/n said as he deactivated his armor, revealing ME under his armor, "Go help someone else. I wanna try somethin against Wave here." "Fine." I said running off, confused and furious.

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

As Tatsumi ran off, I walked closer to Wave. "It's funny," I said with a laugh, "the last time we met, ya didn't want to fight me at all. "Well, I've got something to show ya!" I shouted throwing my fist on the ground and energy flowing around me. "MIMIC COMBINATION; GRAND INCURSIO!!!"

POV: Wave

I watched Tatsumi create armor that took the form of Incursio, but had the shields of Grand Chariot instead of the cape. "Since when could you do that?" I asked as he rushed towards me, throwing a series of jabs at me in our revived melee. "I just figured I'd try out something new!" He said blinding me with flames before disappearing completely. "You always disappear Tatsumi." I said looking for any sign of him. "I guess that's why you just keep running. You can pack a punch, but you're too scared to commit to anything more than fleeing!" "No." Tatsumi said as his voice echoed around me, "The art of assassination is best done from the shadows."

As I heard that sound, I watched as a katana blade was drawn and slashed at me. The blade struck the mail with a loud crack as I watched the blade spun out and stuck itself in a tree behind me. "DAMMMIT, I LIKED THAT BLADE!!!!!!!!" Tatsumi shouted as he reappeared before me holding the broken hilt and blade of Y/n's katana. "Too bad traitor." I said as he tossed the remains at my head.

POV: Bols

"You'll be dangerous if you're providing fire support with those flames. So I'll consign you first!" The villainous Akame said as she dashed straight at me, looking quite like her sister. To think she would come straight at me, I thought readying Rubicante, firing Rubicante before Akame dodged and made her way behind me. I heard her blade break flesh, but I felt nothing. I then remembered Kurome had made the famous bodyguard Wall one of her puppets a few years ago. Good thing Murasame's poison doesn't effect the puppets. I thought while charging Rubicante.

POV: Leone

I watched Akame get kicked by the bald man who blocked her swipe, rushing in to help her I felt something wrap around my ankle before I was flung into the stone mountain face by a red haired man with a whip. "You've done it now, Old man." I said walking towards him while rotating my shoulder "I can see through any attack you can muster up." As I said that he cracked his whip, and I could not see where the tip was moving. What the hell? I can't see his whip! I thought as the whip cracked against the side of my head drawing a bit of blood, Even though I'm transformed, his whip is too fast for me. It's not a teigu, but I still can't see it!

I then watched as a green whip coiled around his neck and jerked him up before I could hear the loud crack of a neck being snapped as the body fell to the ground with a thud. "Useless copy." Green said as he kept running towards Kurome and the man in white. I ran to help Akame up as Boss and Sheele showed up to do the same. "What's the plan boss?" I asked as we readied ourselves.

POV: Green

I ran towards Kurome and Natala, fuming with rage. I could tell that Kurome was having an internal monologue, walking closer Natala noticed me and readied Trisula. "KUROME!!!" I shouted as she slightly jumped, confused as to why I was nearing her. "Green," she said with a frown, "so you did join Night Raid." "Because I realized that the Empire was corrupt." I said as I cracked my whip, grabbing Trisula as it extended towards my head. "Them why attack me?" Kurome asked, "You know Sidewinder is inferior to Yatsufusa." "I can't sit by and watch you torture a deceased friend." I said tightening my grip of Sidewinder, "We lost Cornelia, Chief, Guy, and even Gin, whom you knew the longest out of the Elite Seven. But we properly gave them a burial. We mourned. We let them travel on to the next world. But you, you betrayed that trust. You did the one rule we all agreed on. Letting the dead rest in peace for their service!" "I had a chance to save my friend." Kurome said with a strange smile on her face. "And seeing as how you're a wanted man, and that you've taken away two of my puppets on your own, I say I should save you too." As she said that she drew her katana as Natala sped behind me, grabbing me and locking me in a hold before Kurome charged at me. Reflexively I flipped natala over my back to use him as a shield while breaking one hand free of his grip to grab the revolver. As Kurome jumped over Natala to prevent her from impaling him, I aimed my sights at her head and fired.

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

A gunshot echoed out as I turned my attention towards the cliff were Kurome was, seeing that she was lying on the ground, holding her shoulder. "Don't turn your attention away from me!" Wave shouted as he punched me in the face. "You asked for it asshole!" I shouted as I turned my fist into stone and sent him flying into the cliff face before pummeling him deeper in.

POV: Green

I missed Kurome's head but managed to shoot her in the shoulder before she reflexively cut my arm off that was holding the revolver. "Smart." Kurome said with a wince as natala punned me to a tree. "I'll be back." I stared at Natala as Kurome ran off down the cliff face.

POV: Bols

I had heard the gunshot from where Kurome was seated, but I couldn't see anything from where I was positioned, not factoring in the four females attacking me. Priming Rubicante, I aimed at Najenda, the weakest of the four, and released the built up flames in her direction. As I anticipated, Leone pushed her aside to take the hit. A second later Kurome dashed down and cut off Leone's arm at the base. "Fufuh," Kurome laughed, ignoring her obvious, bleeding wound, "You really shouldn't take your eyes off me completely. Because if there's an opportunity, I'll attack as much as I can. Until you all die."

As she said that, Akame rushed towards Kurome as the purple haired Sheele charged at me. I tried to block her attack, but her scissors managed to cut clean through Rubicante. Reflexively I threw the shaft as I charged up the base. I don't know what will happen if I do this but it will buy me some time. As Sheele looked back at me, I released the charge singeing her clothes as she blocked the main attack.

Running out of options I took the tank off my back and planted it on the ground while removing the detonator. I'm sorry Logue and Kiju. I thought, thinking of my family as a tear made its way to my eye. I'm sorry that I won't be coming home from this. I love you both.

POV: Green

I watched as Kurome ran and jumped up from the cliff face, followed by Akame. I tried to use Sidewinder to get Natala off of me, but I was fading out of consciousness seeing as my arm was 20 feet away on the ground and my blood pooled around my feet. As Natala ran to attack Akame, I watched Kurome throw her sword right at me. Time slowed to a crawl as I watched the blade fly into my chest. I instinctively coughed up blood, and I noticed that the blade was only an inch from my heart. Looking back up, I saw a massive fireball reach into the sky, before Kurome pulled her blade from my chest as I was unpinned from the tree behind me.

POV: Akame

"GREEN!" I shouted as I ran to catch him. His body was limp as I flipped him over and cradled him in my arms. "Green, don't go." I said as tears formed in my eyes, "I can't lose you too." "A-akame," Green weakly said as I looked into his green eyes. "I-I, I l-love, I love y-you." I watched as Green closed his eyes and started to fade away into dust.

POV: Y/n (Kakoshi)

Hearing a massive explosion, I ran outside of the small cave I pummeled Wave into and saw a massive fireball where I sent Sheele. "Dammit, SHEELE!" I shouted as Wave made his way out. "We're not done yet!" He shouted as I saw that his armor had started to crack. "No. I calmly said as I turned all of my body into stone and caused flames to form in my hands. "I think we're done." I then knocked my palms into Wave's torso and unleashed all of my power, sending him flying away so fast, he created a sonic boom before he entered the fireball in the sky. I looked over towards Sheele, Leone, Akame, and Boss, seeing Akame missing, but Sheele was protecting them while Bols was gone. "Y/n!" Boss shouted as I got close, "Catch Bols!" "Yes ma'am." I said as I ran off into the forest.

As I walked through the forest I looked for Bols or Kurome. I saw a giant man resting next to a tree. "Bols!" I shouted, running towards him as Kurome entered out of the foliage. "Kurome, y'all're okay. Thank God." "Yes." Bols weakly said with a cough, "Just barely. I'm surprised Kurome, I thought you were shot." Kurome's face changed to one of shock "No," She sheepishly said as I grew I concerned face, "but we should get away from this member of Night Raid. I don't trust him." When she said that she started to approach Bols, and I reflexively reached out to stop her.

"NOOO!" I shouted as I heard a snap and saw Kurome get shrouded in a veil of smoke. "Detective." Chronos said time slowed around me before I could save Bols from his assailant. "I need your help with something far beyond your comprehension." "What could ya possibly need from me?" I responded walking towards the cloud of fog beside the resting Bols. "I need your help with a war that will determine the fate of the multiverse." "Can I help my friend first?" I asked as I looked at Bols, who looked like he was about to get up. "Only if you refuse." Chronos said as he crossed his arms, "And if you do, than everything you know and love will be destroyed. Now what do you say?" "Fine." I said as I scowled at the man I saw as a villain, "I'll fight with you in this war." "Then let us get to the Base of Operations on that abandoned island my associate and I call home.

POV: Bols

As Y/n shouted no, I watched Kurome covered herself in a veil of smoke as I reflexively punched the figure back into the leaf. "Y/n?" a silently asked as I looked around for him before hearing a female scream before a ginger head rolled towards me. "Bols?" Kurome said as she stepped out with two puppets, "Are you alright?" "Yes." I responded, "I take it that was my assailant?" "Yeah, tried to run from Natala and Green." Kurome said as she held her shoulder. "Are you alright?" I asked, placing a hand on her opposite shoulder, like I would with Logue. "I'll survive." She responded as her taller puppet grabbed the severed head on the ground. "Let's get back to base." "No." I said noticing that the shorter puppet had a whip and a revolver. "I'm done. Consider me dead. Give me that revolver and I'll hide out until this war is over." "Promise me you'll stay safe?" Kurome said as she handed me the revolver. "Yes." I said as I hugged her, feeling a tear drop onto my shoulder. Before thinking, I removed my mask and kissed her forehead. "No matter what happens Kurome," I said looking into her grey, misty eyes, "I will always see you as a second daughter." I then ended the embrace and walked off, placing the pistol in my waistband.

POV: Writer

So here's the 're-release' of chapter 28. That took too long to complete. Tomorrow, I'm going to look for a cover for Unkillable Nightmare and publish the first chapter.
