Timeskip to next evening
Niko (POV)
We're all enjoying the evening by having dinner and drinking as usual when King lets us in on some information he's snagged from the Holy Knights.
Meliodas- The New Generation? What's that?
King- Apparently there have been a few failed apprentices who have found a way to gain the full power of a Holy Knight in just one day. Guila for instance, the latest apprentice who's grown stronger overnight. Doesn't really seem right does it?
Meliodas- She was?
King- Let's back this up a minute. You took the Sacred Treasure that was bestowed to you by King Liones himself and sold it?!
Meliodas- I needed money for the tavern.
King- And yours was stolen?!
Ban- (drunk) When they threw my butt into that prison.
Xerxes- Yeah, I'm in the same boat.
Diane looks at me with an embarrassed look.

Diane- Does this make me a bad girl?
Niko- No not really. So what if you lost it. It's better than what these other guys did.
King- You're not off the hook either Niko. It's been seventeen years. Don't you think that's enough time?
Niko- Hræzlyr? It's in a safe space where I only have access to. It's been there for the past seventeen years and there it shall remain until the end of time. It shall never be used. Never again.
King- What do you mean? How can you saw that? Saving the realm is bigger than-
Niko- I said never again now leave it alone!!
Everything falls silent for a bit.
Diane *mind*-So many secret of pain you hide. Niko, what's happened to you?
Hawk- I don't understand why you're getting so upset King. These guys do pretty well with what they got.
King- Sir pig, let give an example of sorts. Now lets say this lake represents all of the magic power used by one of the Sins or Horsemen. How much water can you scoop out by just using your hands?
Hawk- Hands?
King- That's right. No matter magic there is, you're pretty limited by them. But if you have a weapon, more specifically a Sacred Treasure, you can draw out incredible amounts of magic.
Meliodas- Sacred Treasures are pretty awesome.
King makes all of the water in the lake float high in the air as a visual example.
Hawk- (throttling Meliodas) Why the hell did you give yours up hamhead?!!!
Niko- Cause he's a dumbass.
King- In any case, we're going to have to get whatever Sacred Treasures we can back. Assuming you're serious about saving the realm.
Elizabeth- Excuse me, Sir King. Before you joined us, were you working with someone inside the castle?
King- More or less.
Elizabeth- Do you know what happened to them? My father and my two sisters. The king and the other two princesses.
King- I'm afraid not. Sorry about that.
Elizabeth- Oh I see.
The night befalls us and everyone settles in for the night. I however stand at the edge of the lake looking at the reflection of the stars.
Niko- Seventeen years huh? Seventeen years since I stored Hræzlyr away for good after what I plunged it through your chest and ended your life. Granted, I did do it for the greater good, it will always remain my biggest regret. Hell, maybe I deserve to be tormented by you Kira.
Diane *mind*- (fake sleeping) Kira? Who's Kira? And Niko killed her? For the greater good? What did she do? Niko, I've known you for decades and we're as close as close can be yet I've never seen this side of you before. What more pain do you hide behind that smile?
Timeskip couple days
We arrive at the town of Vaizel.

Meliodas- That town of the side of the mountain is called Vaizel. It's a merchant town.
Hawk- You think it's really here?
Niko- Not too long ago one of our customers said a giant hammer was brought here. If that doesn't scream Diane I don't know what will.
Ban- Awh to hell with that. We gotta do something about my clothes. Sharing a room with King and freakin werewolf sucks.
Xerxes- Not my fault you won't wake up to cook up the success of my nighttime hunts.
Meliodas- Just cover up your six pack with an apron.
Niko- Yeah. You're starting to become like Grey.
Ban- Who?
Niko- Who?
Indigo: Ngl, I totally see that. That was excellent observation Niko.
Niko: Thanks man.
Diane- That's not important now!! Why do I have to stay behind and mind the bar?
Meliodas- Diane, ever since a giant went wild at their festival a few years ago, they've all been banned from town. But we'll come back as soon as we see what's up.
Diane- But it's going to be boring. Niko will you stay with me?
Niko- Not this time. Gotta go with the boys.
Diane- No fair! I want to go with you!
Elizabeth- I'll stay behind with you.
Diane- Really?
Elizabeth- Sure. It'll be fun. It'll be nice to have some girl time for a change.
Diane- Yeah just us girls.
Meliodas- Alright let's hit it.
We head off but I stop and turn to Diane.
Niko- I'll bring you back something nice DeeDee.
Her face gets red as she smiles and I set off with the others. We reach the town and it's crowded with people and merchants.
Ban- Captain do we really have to search through all this stuff?
King- You're seriously wearing an apron?
Xerxes- That's Ban for ya.
Meliodas- Let's try looking for an arms dealer.
We pas by an old man who's visibly buzzed.
Old man- You looking for something son or are you here to be apart of the festival?
Meliodas- Nah, we're just looking for a weapon. A really big hammer. We heard there might be one at this market.
Old man- Well that's easy enough. Right there behind that rock.

We go to where he said and sure enough, Diane's hammer is there.

King- It's Diane's Gideon.
Meliodas- It was here the entire time.
Some little guy announces some fighting tournament and the winner gets the hammer.
King- What a barbaric thing right Captain?
We tune him out as Ban, Meliodas, Xerxes, and myself huddle up and get hyped about this fighting tourney.
Ban- We're going to put our names in aren't we?
Xerxes- Damn right we are.
Niko- Oh fuck yeah.
Meliodas- Let's see who's got what it takes.
I grab King's shirt collar and drag him with us to put our names down.
Meliodas- Counts us in!
King- Count me out!
Niko- Too late. You're doing this with us whether you like it or not.
King- Awh man.
