Allie's POV:

Carlos come back in. "What's that?" He asks. "I must have left the stereo on in the garage. I'll go get it." I say, rushing off. I get to the garage and find the boys jamming out. "GUYS! GUYS! HEY! STOP! GUYS STOP!" I yell. Finally they listen.

"The whole neighborhood could hear you." I explain. Their eyes widen and Luke leans towards me. "Wait, people can hear us play?" He asks, shocked. "Yes, and so did my dad, brother, and sister." I tell them. "W-w-wait, so...only you can see us, but everyone can hear us?" Alex asks.

Luke nods enthusiastically. "I mean, what kind of ghosts are we?" He asks. "Who cares? People can hear us play!" Luke says. "We might be dead, but our music isn't." Reggie adds. That's when my dad walks in. "Dad!" "Hey. Just making sure you're ok." He says.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just had to turn off the CD playing." I say, gesturing to it. He turns and I guess sees the drums and equipment. "Wait, is this the junk that was in the loft?" He asks. "Junk?" Luke asks, offended. He then starts banding on Alex's drums.

"Some of this stuff is in pretty good shape. Hey, maybe we can make a couple bucks." He says. "What? Yo, stop touching me-tell him to stop touching my drums." Alex tells me. Luke urges me to speak as well. I just shrug. Dad walks back around to the front.

"I liked that song you had on." Dad tells me. "Sweet! We're Sunset Curve." Luke says. "Tell your friends." Reggie adds. "It's just an old CD I found." I say, smiling innocently as the boys give me offended looks at the word 'old'. "Still, it's nice that you're listening to music again." I smile.

"Out here you can play whatever you want, whenever you want." He says gesturing with his hands, accidentally putting them through Reggie and Luke's stomachs. I fight back a laugh. "Oh! That's nice." Reggie says, grinning. I go to say something, but stop myself.

"You know what dad, could you give me a minute?" I ask, walking over to him and dragging him towards the door. "Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. We're gonna figure out this music program thing." He says. "Thanks dad." I say, forcing a smile.

With that he leaves and I turn to the boys after closing the door. Luke is smiling like a goof. "He likes our song." He says happily. "Ah, he doesn't count, he's a dad." Alex reminds him. "Why are you guys here? Why not some mansion in Pasadena or something?" I ask. They just shrug.

Sighing I leave the garage, and start heading up the stone steps towards the house. Suddenly Luke appears in front of me. "Ah! Stop doing that." I mumble, looking at him. "Oh, I'm sorry." He says. "What do you want?" I ask quietly.

"I know this is all completely insane, but you do know how rad this is. People...actual people can hear us play." He says. I sigh and return the hairs behind my ears.I don't know how he wants me to react.

"I know, and I'm sorry for not being more excited or whatever, but I've had a pretty bad day." I tell him, going to move past him. He stops me right as I'm about to get past the gate to our main yard.

"Well, I'm sorry you had a bad day. But three guys just found out they had a bad twenty-five years, and then they found out that the one thing, the one thing that they lived for in the first place, they can still do. That's pretty rad." He says, his smile returning to his face.

"You're right. It's just..." "Your bad day. Yeah. I know. Look, I'm sorry that we came into your life, but...what I just felt in there actually made me feel alive again. We all felt alive again." My heart goes out for them. I really feel bad now.

"So you can kick us out if you want, but we're not giving up music. We can play again, that's a gift no musician would ever turn down. You gotta know that. Clearly your mom is into music." He says. I look down. "Was. She passed away." I inform him. His face floods with guilt.

"I am so sorry." He says. "Yeah, we...didn't know." I turn and see Alex and Reggie there as well. I sigh. "It's fine, really. Uh, you guys haven't seen her, you know, where you came from?" I ask. "No. No, I mean, you're kinda the first person we've seen." Alex tells me.

"Yeah, but we're not dead so that doesn't really answer her question." Reggie says. I smile a little at this. "Yeah. I think she knows what we mean." Alex tells hm before turning back to me. "I'm sorry for your loss." I nod.

"Thanks. You guys are pretty good." I tell them, referring to their music. "Pretty good? You gotta understand that that's twenty-five years of rust that's getting dusted off." Luke says. I smile at them. "Yeah, do you play the piano too? Or the guitar?" Reggie asks.

"No. Those were my mom's and my sister occasionally uses the piano. I don't play." I tell them. "No way, she's an amazing song writer." Luke says. "Yeah, she was-wait, how would you know that?" I ask. "There's a song on the piano. If it's hers...your mom was really talented."

I smile at this. Then I realize I kicked them out. "Uh, if you guys need somewhere to stay, it's fine if you stay in there. There's a shower and a couch that pulls out into a bed if still use that stuff." I say. "Dibs on the shower!" Reggie says. I smile at this and the boys just shake their heads at him.

"I just really like showers and sometimes the occasional bath." He explains. I laugh a little. "This is so weird." I say shaking my head. I look up at them again. "Well, I have school tomorrow, so I'll see you guys later." With that I leave them to go into the house. What a weird day.

I mean, who else can say they met three hot musician ghosts in their garage?
