Omegaverse:
This story is an omegaverse romance. Obxius (the aliens) are each born with a secondary gender: Alpha, Beta, or Omega. Humans did not know about the second gender until agreeing to an alliance with the Obxius. Each Obxiuon has a soulmate and after discovering humans are compatible with them decided to try seeing if their soulmates could be on Earth.

Human x Other Lifeform Matchmaking Program:

This program was established a year prior to the story (3034). Every household that has an individual between the ages of 21 - 35 must apply for the matchmaking program. Not everyone who applies will be selected, the ones selected tend to be biological females. Those selected are immediately transported to an acting space station for processing, while the said person's family members are compensated.

The majority of society looks down on this matchmaking program and sees it as a breeding program that the government profits from. They get the most needed resources while the other party (aliens) gets a ready womb compatible with their sperm and sex organs.

(How Obxius Species See & Understand The Program)
Obxiuons sees this program as a hope for their plant's future. They initiated this "alliance" due to their species suffering from a plague that affected 80% of the omegas, leaving the majority of alphas and betas. To be selected for this program an Obxiuon must pay a hefty fee, go through a background check, and take courses on understanding the differences between themselves and humans. Typically only the elite and rich are approved but there is a lottery to allow a small number of the working class to be approved for this program.
