ring, ring.

"welcome," eunsuen murmured, eyes still glued to the table as her hands rubbed circles on the surface with the rug. she had this mindset of concentrating on whatever she did even when it came to cleaning though, she particularly didn't like the job.

her stoic expression would've discouraged the customers already if there wasn't another worker who's always bubbly, exactly the opposite of eunsuen.

"ah, eunsuen!" his voice called out. talking of the devil, it was kim seokjin.

"you can go home now." he smiled as soon as she looked up. carefully he touched the other corner of the rug taking it from her, so their hands wouldn't touch.

eunsuen looked around. there were a few customers even though it was quite late. after all, it was Christmas and even an hour ago she found it hard to breath for the amount of people at the cafe.

"you can go." she heard his voice say. "I'll wrap it up for the night."

"but," she could only say that as she was cut off again.

"go." jin smiled. "i already talked to the boss and see, my friends are here too. they can help."

again the soft ringing sound floated in the air. with the door parting a little two guys entered. from what she could recall they were both seniors of her at school, friends of jin.

"okay then." she bowed a little. as soon as she was about to turn back she was stopped hearing him speak again.

"you don't smile much do you? even when it's christmas."

"i.." eunsuen didn't know what to stay. she thought her brows would be furrowed but as always her expression stayed blank.

jin rubbed the table with rug placing his other hand on top of it. a smile played on the corner of his lips on a thought of a joke. "hey." he said looking up at her. "what do you call a cow when it laughs?"

this time, her brows were actually furrowed.

"muhahaha!" jin laughed as hard as he could. eunsuen could only blink fast at his sudden reaction thinking, what was so funny about the joke.

"that was lame wasn't it?" his laughter vanished as soon as it came in.

eunsuen gave him a small bow again. as she really turned back this time, already taking steps towards the door she heard his soft voice again.

"merry christmas."

"you too." she looked back at him only to find him already occupied with one of his friends. kim namjoon, she recognized him since he was the top student of their school.

so jin didn't heard it huh? her voice was always too meek.

she went to the kitchen and took off the apron that was hugging her chest. wearing her coat and her side bag she was ready to go home but the only thing that was playing on the back of her mind was, something wasn't going right here.

she came out of the kitchen. with a hand placing on the strap of her bag she looked ahead at jin and namjoon playing with the water spray bottles trying to spray water at each other.

"yah! why don't you stop and do some work already!" jin yelled at namjoon who only laughed loudly.

jin.

wasn't he suppose to be dead?

but it felt so real. he was there, from the brown fluffy pullover to his faded blue jeans, dark brown hair falling down his forehead and that genuine heartwarming smile on his full lips. he was too real.

but he was dead.

even while thinking that eunsuen was surprised that she was walking towards the door, turning her back at the duo still laughing and emersed in their conversation.

though as soon as she was about to step outside her eyes fell on their other friend who was taking slow steps to join them.

and his piercing eyes met hers. he was a little shorter than them, hair dark black like his attire with the contrast of his pale skin. though his eyes, they were always piercing.

what was his name again?

"it's all your fault." she heard him say in a low tone before he averts his gaze and goes away. with that eunsuen is outside the cafe too.

min yoongi, that was his name, she remembered.

but why did he say that?

again there was this ringing sound though she was sure the sound didn't come from the door behind her as it was a little different, and louder this time.

and she was now somewhere else. and she recognized this place instantly. she remembered every detail as she had this nightmare every day.

she was in the school infirmary, a white curtain placed before her that was preventing her to see the person that was on the other side.

he was crying, whoever that person was. light sobs emitted on the silent place and that was the first thing to wake her up from her nap.

she knew who it was. she had seen this dream enough time but with her one hand clutching on the hem of her school uniform her other hand removed the curtain slowly.

it was jin. even from his back she could tell.

and he was shaking and crying sitting on top of the bed. she knew she had to approach him but all she did was to close the curtain again.

ring ring.

everyone was in black.

"I'm so sorry for your loss." eunsuen heard her homeroom teacher say to seokjin's mother who could only cry in agony, she wasn't stable, she wasn't in the place to be.

"poor woman losing her other son too." eunsuen heard a woman sigh next to her as she stared ahead at the smiling photo of jin placed among the flowers.

wasn't he alive just yesterday?

how could he be gone already?

and she then saw his friends too. six other guys that looked too heart broken to even cry. dry tears on their cheeks and their heads down. one of them was still crying.

what was his name?

hoseok, jung hoseok. she often saw him with seokjin. and he was always smiling.

this is all your fault.

again the sound rang. this time louder than ever and it kept ringing until she had woken up.

breathing heavily she clutched on her heart, her lips trembling and sweat formed into bids on her forehead. she had the nightmare again and she could never get used to it.

with her hand that was still shaking she searched for the phone that was close to her pillow, as she could guess her phone was the reason of that ringing sound.

finding the phone she was greeted with a few messages.

from kim seokjin.
