Alastegiel (Estelwen) POV

"Frodo has passed beyond my sight. The darkness is deepening." Gandalf tells us, we are all gathered trying to figure out what to do next.

"If Sauron had the Ring we would know it." Aragorn adds.

"It's only a matter of time. He has suffered a defeat, yes, but behind the walls of Mirror our enemy is regrouping."

"Let him stay there." Gimli suggests. "Let him rot! Why should we care?"

"Because 10,00 Orcs now stand between Frodo and Mount Doom. I've sent him to his death." Gandalf says sadly.

"No. There is still hope for Frodo." I tell him, we are not giving up.

"He needs time and safe passage across the plains of Gorgoroth. We can give him that." Aragorn says.

"How?" Gimli questions.

"Draw out Sauron's armies. Empty his lands. Then we gather our full strength and march on the Black Gate." Aragorn tells us.

"We cannot achieve victory through strength of arms." Eómir says.

"Not for ourselves. But we can give Frodo his chance if we keep Sauron's eye fixed upon us. Keep him blind to all else that moves."

"A diversion." Legolas states.

"Certainty of death, small chance of success, what are we waiting for?" Gimli asks.

"Sauron will suspect a trap." Gandalf whispers to Aragorn. "He will not take the bait."

"Oh, I think he will." Aragorn says and smiles.

Gandalf walks over to me and whispers in my ear, "Go. Go now. Meet us at the Black Gate. Hurry."

"Alright Gandalf. I will see you soon." I tell him and run off towards the stables.

I get my horse and take off. We are going to make it through this, and Frodo will destroying the ring. I know a lot of people think that this is not going to work. But,

All they need is a little Hope.
