A week later

Amber awoke from her leaf bed to the cool breeze of the cold winter air,
"One week away..." she sighed then she heard a knock on her door.
Amber walked over to the door opening it up with her tail, an eevee appeared,
"Hello princess Amber, I'm Prince Dragon," The eevee said
"Hello there..." Amber sighed
"What's wrong?" Dragon asked
"Nothing" Amber replied "now leave" she said pushing Dragon out
"Harsh" Dragon said leaving .

Amber sighed "now is the perfect time!" She said as she opened her window and got ready to jump onto the icy cold snow, as she got ready her jump, she move backwards and as she reached the window, took a leap and jumped through the sky, tumbling on the soft icy snow, luckily, the snow broke her fall. 
As Amber looked at her bedroom high up from the ground, she turned around and ran off, to the dungeons.

When she arrived, she saw the eevee she had defeated chained up, she looked at the eevee and used iron tail on the bars to break it.
"Why are you helping me?" The eevee asked
"Because, you don't deserve to be stuck in here, there is no point, now follow me" Amber said crouching looking around, then she looked behind her and untied the eevee's chains as they fled their way out of the dungeons.
"So, what is your name?" Amber asked
"Sam..." The eevee replied
"Ok, what did you do?"
"I did nothing, they just took me away from my home, they probably did it because both of my parents were criminals" the eevee replied
"Well, that is in the past now, now, we just need to get out of here" Amber said as she looked at the water leading out of her homeland, she was very cautious for she had never been this far before, as she leapt onto a lillypad, with Sam right behind her as he tripped, and fell touching a stone, a blue stone, it made him glow but the glowing stopped, Sam, being confused, picked up the stone and tied a string around it placing it on his neck for safe keeping
"That's an evolution stone, it's not time for you to evolve yet, so it won't work" Amber explained "I suggest keeping it safe."

As the two jumped onto the lillypads, a village appeared in the distance, as the two arrived, they saw wanted posters for a flareon with a red cloak and soon after, witnessed him killing someone in front of their eyes, and soon left the village after looking around and buying supplies with the few gold coins Amber had stashed away.

They left the village, not knowing where they would end up, but continued walking on.

A/n: if you don't know who the flareon in the black cloak is, he's from one of my books, I decided to add him to make him an important part of Amber's backstory on why she wanted to be a flareon and kill.
