Ashi was standing in front of class when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned.

Ashi: Di you here? Any work?

Vaish: Ashi I wanna talk about  something

Ashi: Hnn bolo

Vaish: Nhi yha nhi. Can we go to college lawn? If your lecture is not important

(A/n: I don't know about other colleges but in my college, there are lawns.)

Ashi: Yee I can miss this period

Vaish: Ok then let's go

Ashi nodded. They went towards the lawn and sat on a bench. Vaish took her hands in hers. Ashi was confused.

Vaish: Dekh Ashi sach sach btana

Ashi didn't understand but nodded.

Vaish: I will straight come to the point do you love Sid?

Ashi got worried and confused how she got to know her secret. She looked here and there.

Vaish: Ashi I asked something

Ashi: Di what kinda question is this?

She said with a nervous smile.

Ashi: Yee o..of c..cour..of course I do. He is my best friend after all

Vaish: Ashi please you know what I mean. Don't act so innocent

Ashi just looked down. Vaish kept a hand on her shoulder.

Vaish: From whom are you hiding. I know how much you love him

Ashi: Di how do you know?

Vaish: It's clear on your face. I had a doubt since our last sleepover we had at Avni's home. Next day when we woke up, I caught you staring at him. After that many times, I noticed you staring at him. And whenever we used to tease them or talk about, you used to get quite. And yesterday, during their proposal, you were smiling but it was clearly fake

Ashi sighed.

Ashi: Yee I do love him. But the day I realized he unknowingly broke my heart. He told me about him and Avni. Though he hadn't realized. But I understood, I lost my first love

Vaish hugged her.

Ashi: But it's not like I am not happy for them di. I am the happiest in our group. I know they are made for each other and they will be extremely happy with each other

Vaish: Well you proved what true friendship is. You just didn't let your love go but also helped them realizing and confessing

Ashi smiled at her.

Ashi: Di I want a promise from you

Vaish: Hnn bol

Ashi: No one should know about this. No one means no one

Vaish: But....

Ashi: (cuts her) Please di. Please don't tell anyone. I don't want them to be guilty or come in between in them. Or I don't even wanna loose my friends, my lifelines now. Our friendship is much much more important than my love. I can live without Sid being my love but I can't live without my friends

Vaish: Look Ashi...

Ashi: Please di

She said with a pleading look.

Vaish: Ok I promise it will be between us. Just us. And you will soon get your love. The one who will love you and only you. For whom nothing will be more important than you

Ashi gave her a faint smile.

With Sidneet

They were sitting at last bench. Avu was trying to concentrate on lecture while Sid was concentrating on her. He slowly moved his hand and kept it on her elbow and slowly moved it towards her hand. He removed his shoe and rubbed his toes on her foot. Avu controlled her blush and glared him. He gave an innocent look.

Avu: (whispering) Sid we are in lecture

Sid: So?

He held his hand.

Avu: Chhodo mujhe bandar

Sid: Chhodne ke lie thoda haath pakda hai tumhara. Kbhi nhi chhodunga

She looked in his eyes. They had an eyelock. Suddenly Avu felt a chalk hit him. Sidneet gulped.

Prof: Ye kya chal rha class mein

Sid: Wo ma'am actually

Prof: Hnn hnn. Romance ho gia?

Sid's eyes widened and Avu was crimson red.

Sid: Ma'am

Prof: Nhi hua to koi baat nhi tum log continue kro hum sab chale jate hai. Lectures ka kya hai roz hi lgte hai. Agle saal bhi lgenge. Ma'am bhi yhi rhegi. Same syllabus. Same ma'am. Same hi exams. Agle saal lga lena. Romance khi zyada zaroori hai

Both were looking down because of embarrassment.

Prof: Betho dono aur hnn behave now. Class hai, tumhara room nhi hai

Sidneet: Sorry ma'am

Prof: Aur kalse tum dono saath mein nhi bethoge aur last bench

Sidneet: Ok ma'am
