The time has come, Ash Ketchum is finally leaving. The worst part of all that Clemont and Bonnie left before his departure which means Serena is the only one left with him.

Ash didn't want to go, but he lost and decided to go back to Pallet and challenge the league there once more, he wanted Serena to come along with him, but she won as Kalos Queen and obviously if she leaves her title will be taken away from her.

This was a sad departure, because our two childhood friends will be separated once more and it pains to see Serena saying goodbye to Ash again.

They promised that they will travel forever, but it's sad to say that there is no such thing as forver in this world. Ash was in the verge of tearing up while Serena was already crying as the speaker announced the flight towards Kanto will be departing soon.

Ash looked at her and before he left he kissed her on the cheek, Serena blushed furiously but was still shocked from his sudden action.

Ash didn't have much time left, he turned around and before he walked away he said "Goodbye Serena" Serena grabbed his shirt and kissed him passionately on the lips and pulled away "I will always love you Ash Ketchum" she whispered and let go of his shirt, Ash couldn't hold it in anymore and tears ran down his face. He embraced her into a hug crying as loud as he could, Serena smiled weakly at him and pushed him back "Go back to your home Ash, I'll wait for you" she assured him "But Seren-" she cut him off by kissing him on the lips once more and gave him her ribbon.

"This is a promise" she uttered and walked away "Goodbye for now Ash" she said before running away from him. Ash stood there and continued to look at the ribbon her gave her, he clenched his fist and smiled "Goodbye Serena, I love you"

Man was this sad :( I was at the verge of tearing up when I was making this :p Anyway see you in the next one-shot
