The gang approached the abandoned mansion with tension. They were not quite sure it was a safe place to stay.

"It looks haunted" Bonnie said hugging her brother.

"Yeah I think we should camp outside" Shauna said trembling.

"It's in the open, we are exposed if we camp outside. It's better to stay in the house and don't worry we have our groups so there's no need to panic" Ash said calmly. Everyone knew he had a point so they followed him inside. They all stopped because Ash had.

"Hello?" Ash shouted out. Echoes could be heard of his voice. There was a movement and a small thud which scared everyone but Ash. Ash looked around and saw a shadow disappear from a room on the bottom floor.

"What was that" Serena asked worriedly.

"Someone else is here" Misty said.

"Ghosts" May said. Dawn shrieked as she hated ghosts.

"Guys I made the thud" Ash said. Everyone looked at him. Ash said that so he could calm everyone down so they would stay here.

"Don't do that, that was scary" Trevor said as he came out from behind Tierno.

"Sorry" Ash replied. "My group is taking that room and the rest can take the 3 bedrooms upstairs" Ash said. He walked to the room he allocated and saw the mysterious shadow. Ash's group all followed him inside. It was a normal room with 2 medium sized beds, which could fit 2 people atleast.

"There are 2 beds so who wants to sleep with who?" Calem asked.

"I'm sleeping with Serena" Shauna said and she grabbed Serena's hand.

"Ash you sleeping with Tierno?" Calem asked.

"Nah I'm fine you take the bed I'll sleep in the living room.

"All alone?" Serena asked.

"Yeah, don't worry I'll be fine" Ash replied.

"You might need a mattress" Shauna said.

"The sofa can turn into a bed so it's fine" Ash said.

"Okay" Shauna replied. They started unpacking their stuff and took out the essentials they needed.

"We'll stay here for a day and leave tomorrow night. So don't get to comfy." Ash said. They simply nodded in reply. Ash headed upstairs and told the other 2 groups about the length of time they will be staying. They had no arguments about the decision so they agreed.

"Hey brock let's go get dinner ready" Clemont said as he and Brock followed Ash out the room.

"Yeah come" Brock said.

"Dinner will be served in 15 minutes." Clemont shouted so everyone could hear. Everyone successfully heard the announcement.

In Gary's group they had a hand print on the wall of their room.

"Hey look at this hand" Gary said. Paul came over and examined the hand.

"It looks fresh, someone could be here or they've left" Paul said after examining the hand. The duo went down to meet everyone else there waiting for dinner.

"Hey guys" Gary said as he approached the dinner table.

"Hey Gary and Paul" Dawn replied. Gary took his seat beside Misty and started talking with her likewise Paul who sat next to Dawn. Serena and Shauna soon joined them at the dining room.

"Hey where's Ash?" Serena asked noticing his presence wasn't there.

"I thought he was with you guys" May said.

"He went out to tell you guys about how long we were staying" Shauna said.

"He went down with Brock and Clemont, check with them" Paul said. Serena and Shauna both headed towards the kitchen to find Brock, Clemont and Bonnie cooking food.

"Hey guys, food smells good" Shauna said as she and Serena walked in.

"Thanks, what brings you here?" Brock asked.

"Ash came with you guys, where is he?" Serena asked.

"He said he's going to explore the house" Clemont said.

"And he disappeared through those doors" Bonnie added pointing at the door at the far end of the, pretty big, kitchen.

"Oh ok thanks" Serena said as she walked over to the door. She opened it and all she could see was darkness and a little bit of light at the bottom of the stairs.

"Ash?" Serena shouted but only heard her echoes.

"Shauna come with me" Serena said. Shauna nodded and followed Serena down the stairs.

"Hey Greninja, do you sense something?" Ash asked his water type.

"Yes, it has a ghostly feeling to it" Greninja replied. Pikachu was huddled up on Ash's shoulder feeling the horror atmosphere. They approached a double door with webs on the door knob.

"The feeling is coming from behind those doors" Ash said as he grabbed ahold of the door knobs. He opened the door with force. The room revealed a large coffin in the middle.

"Looks like someone was buried here" Ash said to himself. He went inside and looked in disgust at what he saw. A team rocket symbol sprayed on the wall. He approached the coffin which read out:

                         Here lies:

Colonel Alfred Sakaki, the head of Team Rocket and the father of Giovanni Sakaki. He was taken down by his enemy Red Ketchum on July 17th 2014. Justice will be taken on The Ketchum's

Ash looked at this in horror. He was paralysed to his spot. Who is Red?, Ash thought. He was confused. Suddenly a mist started forming on top of the coffin. Greninja had a water shuriken ready and Pikachu had sparks coming out his cheeks. A ghostly skeleton like face appeared with long hair running down its cheeks.

"Well well well. If it isn't Ketchum's boy" The ghostly head spoke.

"Who are you and who is Red" Ash said angrily.

"Calm down dear boy, I'm Alfred Sakaki" Alfred spoke.

"Who is Red!" Ash demanded an answer. Alfred's face turned into a angry expression.

"Ah, Red Ketchum. He was the scum who took me down. I believe he is your father. He betrayed me. That fool was a spy for PokéNation. I had an unbeatable force until your stupid father waddled along" Alfred spat. Ash took all of this in.

"My father was right to do that. You deserved it, you evil prat" Ash spat back at him.

"Shut up" Alfred shouted and launched his ghostly figure at Ash. The ghostly figure went straight through Ash's body and somehow caused Ash to fall.

"Revenge will be done on you dear boy, wait and watch" Alfred spoke before disappearing.

"Master are you okay" Greninja said as he helped Ash back to his feet.

"Yeah I'm fine" Ash said. He couldn't believe he had another father. He wanted to meet him right away, Ash thought.

"Ash? You down here?" He heard Serena's voice calling for him and soon she entered the room.

"I heard something fall, you alright?" Serena asked.

"Ye-No I'm not actually" Ash replied.

"Why?" Serena asked.

"I'll tell you upstairs in dinner" Ash replied. He went back up the stairs followed by Serena and Shauna. They all took their seats in the dining room.

"So Ash what happened down there, I heard something fall" Calem asked. Ash explained everything that happened to everyone. Their faces all looked shocked.

"There's a ghost in the house" May said worriedly.

"Well yes but he went through me and disappeared" Ash said.

"Giovanni is not your father. Who is Red?" Trevor said.

"Well he's supposed to be my father. He worked for PokéNation" Ash said.

"That's the best team that's been fighting Team Rocket for years" Tierno said.

"My mother and father work for them too" Serena said remembering.

"Where are their headquarters?" Ash asked.

"The Hoenn region" May said. "I wanna go there before Sinnoh, please" May pleaded to Ash.

"Yeah I want to see if my father is there" Ash said. The group beamed at the outcome of the plead.

"Well I'm done for tonight lets go to bed" Ash said. Everyone nodded and put their plates in the kitchen and went to their rooms.

"Ash are you sure you wanna sleep out there" Serena said.

"Yeah don't worry" Ash replied as he headed to the living room and to his bed. Once he saw the door close to Serena's room he got out of bed and headed to the place where he had the encounter with Alfred. He went to the coffin and saw it open. Ash was now even more alert. He could here whispers and hissing.

"Ketchum.. I'm here!" Alfred's ghostly figure appeared in front of Ash but he didn't even flinch.

"Don't even try it Sakaki" Ash hissed back to him.

"Well I'll try it even when you join the dead after my son has killed you" Alfred hissed back. With that he disappeared and a piece of paper flew to the ground. Ash walked over to it and picked it up.

"It's the full prophecy" Ash said to no one. He read it out:

A boy in blue will aid the man in red to destroy the evil of mankind. A giant shuriken and a thunderstorm shall mark the beginning of the great siege of the goodness that lies with the boy in blue and his companions. One cannot live while the other survives.

Ash looked at the piece of paper. Is it really me, Ash thought. Whose the man in red? Ash wondered. "I need to ask Brock what the last sentence means" Ash whispered to himself. With that he headed back upstairs and back to his bed to find Serena waiting there.

"You alright Serena?" Ash asked.

"Can I sleep with you? I'm scared" Serena said.

"Yeah sure" Ash replied as he hopped into bed. Serena did as well blushing as she did. She wrapped her arms around Ash and rested her head on Ash's chest.

"Night"

"Night"

"Love you" they both said in their minds before falling to sleep.
