"Son" Red whispered shocked to see his son standing before him.

"Dad" Ash said with no emotions. Red looked to the ground as well. "Where have you been for the past 14 years" Ash said. "I-I" Red stuttered but nothing came out. "I was stuck with betrayers and evil for my whole childhood" Ash was begin to shout. "Calm down let me explain, blue can you take the others we want some privacy" Red said. Blue nodded and took the rest of the group away into a little hut.

"Is daddy going to be okay" Kaylin asked Serena. "Oh don't worry, daddy is really strong and brave. He'll hopefully be fine" Serena said. Kaylin nodded sadly and held onto Serena's hand tightly.

Back with Ash and Red who were still conversing heatedly between eachother.

"Look Ash, I left because.." Red was cut off by the voice of Ash. "Because you did not love me" Ash said with tears in his eyes. "No, don't ever say that. I loved you since the day you were born. I was the one who made you grow up until Giovanni showed up" Red said with a fierce tone which got Ash's attention.

"Then what? Why'd you leave me to suffer with them. They tortured me." Ash said. "What did they do" Red asked. "When I found out who they were, Giovanni asked me to join Team Rocket. I rejected and threatened to leave by making Pikachu attack. Then he had his Pokémon attack me and I barely escaped" Ash said. Red had a tear in his eye.

"Look, I know I'm the worst father in the world and you do not deserve someone like me but here me out. I left you because Giovanni threatened to kill you or me" Red said. Ash looked his father in the eye. He could tell he was telling the truth. "I told him to kill me, so he kept you under the watch of Delia. I escaped on the day he was gonna kill me. I kept trying to go back and try and destroy his army but all the time he outnumbered me so I had to retreat. I hope you believe me and you can call me anything you want. But know this I will from now on always be there for you and never stop loving you until my days are over" Red said nodding his cap. "I guess I'll take your leave as you would hate for me to stay" Red said as he started to walk of but Ash grabbed his hand. "I believe you dad" Ash said which totally caught Red off guard. "Ash, I don't know what to say" Red said with a solitary tear running down his face. "Lets start over and be close together till the end no matter what" Ash said. "No matter what" Red said before the two embraced into a warm hug.

"So is Kaylin your daughter?" Red asked. "No she calls me that because I remind her of her dad so she calls me that" Ash said. Red nodded before indicating to Ash to head back to the little hut.

"They've been talking for ages, I feel sorry for Ash he seems to have had a really troubled childhood" Calem said.

"I just hope he doesn't get seriously angry, because before in the cave he didn't look the same at all which worries me" Serena said. Everyone nodded at her statement.

After a few seconds Ash and Red came in through the door laughing and talking.

"Shhhh, Kaylin is asleep so keep it down" Serena said as she pointed at the sleeping Kaylin on her lap. "Oh sorry" Ash whispered to Serena. He went over and sat next to her and started patting Kaylin's back gently.

"Looks like you two have made up" Blue said looking at the duo. "Yes we have decided to start a fresh and build up our relationship" Red said. "Well that's great news, and also food will be served in 15 minutes" Brock said heading to the kitchen with Clemont following.

"Well I'll go tuck Kaylin in bed so see you in a bit" Serena said picking Kaylin up and heading towards a room.

"Guys who's up for a game of charades" Gary said. "Is that the best game you can come up with" Ash laughed. "Yeah so what you have any suggestions?" Gary said. Ash didn't reply. "Ha! Thought so" Gary said teasing Ash. "Whatever, I'll join you in a bit. Dad I want to talk to you for a bit" Ash said. "Sure" Red said. He followed Ash into a hallway.

"So what is it you want to talk about" Red said. "Well firstly I have the Jewel of Life and I can connect with Arceus" Ash said. "Wow! Really! Man you are one lucky boy. Do the others know?" Red asked. "Yes" Ash said. "So why did we have to talk in private then?" Red enquired a bit confused. "There's another thing that I want to tell you, I haven't told anyone else" Ash said. Red grew interested in Ash's comment so he became very attentive. "Um basically according to Arceus Giovanni has some sort of control of my mind, so at times I get visions of what he is doing or bad dreams. Secondly I met his dead father at his house" Ash said. "You what, how did you meet a dead person?" Red said quite baffled. "His grave was deep inside the mansion and I stumbled upon it. He warned me that I made a mistake and his spirit went straight through me. I always feel so angry that even the group have managed to see signs in me. I think his demon has possessed me" Ash said. "What!? Is there any way to get rid of it" Red said. "Arceus said he will try and find out and let me know" Ash replied. "Oh okay" Red said.

"Ash" Arceus' voice was heard. " who was that" Red said quite alarmed. "It's arceus, dad" Ash said pulling out the Jewel. "Yes what is it?" Ash asked. "I think I know how you can get unpossessed" Arceus said. "How!?" Ash exclaimed. "Um well you see it will use up a lot of strength and energy of yours" Arceus said. "I don't care, what do I have to do" Ash said. "Well as you can tell when you get angry he gets some power over you. You have to fight against it and control your emotion. You have to close your mind so it won't let him in" Arceus. "How do I know when I've don that" Ash said. "You'll know once you've done it, well for now I need rest so I'll take your leave now" Arceus said before disappearing of the Jewel. "I have to fight and control my emotions" Ash whispered to himself. "Ash don't worry you have this, anyway if Alfred comes back I'll teach that bastard a lesson once more" Red said. Ash chuckled and gave a fist bump to his dad. They then headed back to the main room.

"Is it, pokemon: Lucario and the mystery of mew" Calem said jumping of his seat. "No it's Pokémon: Lucario and the mystery of mew" Gary said back to Calem. "Thats what I just said you asshole" Calem shouted back. "Oh, I must have missed it" Gary said rubbing the back of his head. "No shit sherlock" Misty said. Everyone burst out laughing at Gary who just sat there and stared blankly at them.

Soon Serena returned with Ash and Red following after her. "Kaylin asleep?" Ash asked Serena. "Yeah, she wanted me to sleep with her and she wanted you as well. I just told her a bed time story to make her sleep again" Serena said. "Oh okay, by the way you can sleep with her if if there's space, I'll sleep on the floor" Ash said. "No no its fine you can sleep on the bed too there is plenty of room" Serena tried to convince Ash. "Thanks for the offer but I'm sleeping on the floor" Ash said. Serena nodded sadly as he rejected her offer.

After a few minutes dinner was served. "So Red where are you headed after this?" Paul asked. "I'm gonna stick around for a bit until I get called back up but otherwise I would like to join your journey" Red said. "You are welcome to join us anytime, also who's gonna call you up?" Ash said. "PokéNation might call me up for any new mission or updates but otherwise I'm free" Red said. The group all welcomed Blue and Red on board to their group.

"So what is your mission anyway?" Red asked. "We are headed to Sinnoh in an attempt to stop Giovanni once in for all. I want my justice to be taken quickly" Ash said with a determined look. "What!? In that case I'm definitely joining you guys I want to take revenge too!" Red said with the same look as Ash.

"Like father like son, wow they have the same looks" Shauna said. Everyone sweat dropped at the renewed determination of Ash and Red. "So where is Delia" Red asked. "She held me captive in Shalour but I raged her whole gang, she luckily escaped the scene just as my attack was sent towards her" Ash said. "Why did she hold you hostage?" Red asked. "Firstly she took my Pikachu so I went instantly to save him" Ash said as Pikachu gave a rub on Ash's cheek as well as a slight coo, "but then I got taken too. Delia gave me a final offering to join Team Rocket but I rejected it so she attacked me" Ash said.

"Oh I definitely want revenge now" Red said jumping of his seat in anger. "Calm down dad, we can't rush things just yet" Ash said. "No Ash she attacked my son too many times" Red said with anger growing. "Look it's fine and if we rush to them they will be ready for us so we have to conjure up a plan first then strike" Ash explained which made Red listen and sit back down. "Have you came up with a plan?" Red said. Everyone shook their heads.

The group talked for a bit more wanting to know about Red and Blue's journey and what they have been up too. They were halted due to the yawns spreading fast around them.

"Well let's get too sleep, we should set out by tomorrow afternoon" Ash said getting up. Everyone nodded and got up and set out their sleeping bags or went into rooms to sleep. Ash and Serena would be sharing the room with Kaylin as they were the ones taking care of her.

"Are you sure Ash you don't want to sleep on the bed, I don't mind at all" Serena insisted. "It's a kind offer but you deserve the bed after your the most one helping Kaylin" Ash said. "No Ash you're doing a great job, she always says your the best person in the world. She looks up to you as a role model, so you're also doing great" Serena said. "Thanks" Ash said with a tint of red on his cheeks but was unseen by Serena.

"Well let's get some sleep, I'm tired as hell, goodnight Serena" Ash said as he lay down in his sleeping bag on the floor. "Sweet dreams Ash" Serena said as she tucked herself in bed next to Kaylin.

After several ours Ash and Serena got up because of Kaylin's light sobs. "Kaylin are you okay" Serena said hugging Kaylin who was crying. "No I had a nightmare that you guys left me" Kaylin sobbed into Serena. "Don't worry we will never leave you. We care a lot about you so we will stay together forever and thats a promise" Ash said causing Kaylin to stop crying and hug Ash. "Your the best daddy!" Kaylin exclaimed. Ash pulled out of the hug. "I'll go get you some tissues so wait with mommy" Ash said. Kaylin nodded and went to rest on Serena. As Ash left the room Serena felt a pair of hands grab her and saw Pikachu and Kaylin being grabbed as well.

"ASH!" Serena shouted loudly as she was being pulled out the window. Ash heard her screams and instantly ran towards the room and saw the window pane shattered on the floor. He jumped out the window and was about to rush towards Serena.

Serena saw him jump out and became hopeful. Those hopes were soon shattered at what she saw.

"Serena I'm coming, don't..." Ash couldn't finish his sentence as he was sent flying after receiving a shadow ball from a mightyena. He hit the house and fell down almost unconscious. He saw a figure come up to him but it was all a blur. "You should never mess with us boy" the figure said before disappearing.

"Serena.." Ash whispered. Soon the group came to his aid and asked him questions but Ash was knocked out by then.

"I'm coming Serena don't worry" Ash thought when he was unconscious.

"Ash.. Please hurry" Serena clasped her hands together and hoped Ash would come to save her after she saw him pass out on the porch of the house. She continued to be carried off and out of sight of any help left in the world.
