'Huh? What was that!' Ash said. He opened his eyes and found the city shaking. He walked towards the edge and overlooked the city. Giant roots were breaking into buildings and literally smashing them to the ground. He looked at the gym which seemed to be covered in roots, only the entrance seemed free.

Hovering above the gym was 3 legendary Pokémon; Giritina, Palkia and Rayquaza. 'They have a Rayquaza as well!' A bewildered Ash said. He looked down the building and saw more roots breaking through the floor. 'Hey guys wake up!' Ash shouted. The group stirred behind him and opened their eyes slowly.

'What is it Ash?' Serena asked rubbing her eyes. 'Well it's certainly not good' Ash turned around and saw Alain standing there looking over the city. The rest of the gang joined Ash and his brother on the spot. 'Alain wasn't this like last time?' Mairin asked pointing at the roots. Alain reluctantly nodded. 'What do you mean last time?' Brock asked. 'This happened in Unova once but at the time I was inexperienced so I fled with Mairin' Alain said. His voice trembled as he spoke, and Ash caught this. Alain avoided eye contact by looking at the roots again.

'We need to get underground or somewhere we're the roots can't smash through' Clemont said. The others nodded eagerly as one of the roots smashed their building. Ash and Alain teleported the gang to the floor. The civilians from the hatch on the floor were running around in fear as more and more roots smashed the snow city. By this time most officer jenny's had arrived at the scene but their presence did not affect the situation.

'Please everyone stay calm and please evacuate to Lake Acuity' Officer Jenny bellowed out in her speaker. The civilians all rushed towards the lake. Some looked terribly injured. 'Oh no they look injured, I must go help' Brock said and ran off with nurse Joy. 'He's we must help them first' Ash said and ran after Brock, with the group following him. They reached the lakes cave and luckily there was a Pokémon centre built there.

The civilians were all laying around in the centre looking worn out and injured from the chaos. The group went around handing out blankets and food for them to eat. Some accepted it but some were weak and couldn't force themselves. The TV in the centre turned on. It was a red background with a flare symbol spinning around.

'Hello..' A voice spoke. Lysandre appeared on the screen with an ominous face. Every face turned towards the TV. 'All this destruction is for me to create a new world. A better world. It gives me the chance to start a new era in this world by the ways of Team Flare. However I am unfortunately going to have to get rid of all humanity but 1. The power of our machine will give me the power to access all the necessities of life' Lysandre said, he turned around and pointed at large machine in the back.

'However there is one final bit I need. The synchronisation.. The person knows who he is.' Lysandre said before disappearing off the screen. The channel returned to the news station where they started to blabber on about what had just happened. 'What happened to Team rocket?' Misty asked. 'Yeah and where's Giovanni?' May asked looking at Ash and Alain.

The words of the machine rang around his head, 'he knows who he is..' Ash's muscles became tight after those words. His head started to spin as he felt his power in him attack. His knees buckled causing him to fall on the ground. He looked dazed. 'Ash! Are you okay?' Serena asked helping him against a wall. Ash looked around for an excuse. 'I t-tripped over that rock' Ash said pointing at the rock, he felt dizzy. 'Well be careful of your surroundings' Serena scolded him. Ash chuckled nervously.

'We'll continue helping these people out until anything happens' Ash said looking around the group they nodded and once again dispersed around the centre helping out Nurse Joy.

'Lysandre!' A voice shouted. The team flare boss turned around and saw Alain standing there breathing heavily. 'Ah Alain, so good to see you' Lysandre said reassuringly. Alain stared him down, 'you are not taking Ash!' Alain shouted. Lysandre seemed taken aback but started chuckling, 'oh don't worry he will not be harmed one bit' Lysandre said slyly. 'But the prophecy says that one will only survive' Alain said. 'It's about Ketchum and your father, Giovanni. And since I have him in my hands, Ash is the victor.' Lysandre smiled.

'But why Ash?' Alain asked nervously. 'He was born with extra ordinary gifts that no one but Arceus had' Lysandre started, 'that's why I need him. His power shall be mine' Lysandre bellowed out. 'What will happen then? After you take Ash's power' Alain asked. 'He will die' Lysandre simply replied. Alain flinched at the word 'die.' 'No way am I helping you then!' Alain said angrily.

There was a pause between the duo. Lysandre had his eyes fixed on Alain. 'Okay then what if I keep Ash alive' Lysandre negotiated. Alain hesitated, he stared confusedly at Lysandre. Alain shook his and started walking away. However Lysandre grabbed his hand. 'I was the one who helped you when you were vulnerable! I was the one who gave you your strength when you were weak! I have imprisoned your father who tortured you and your brother! All I'm asking is a favour in return.' Lysandre said calmly. Alain stared at the ground hard. 'Promise Ash will be fine' Alain whispered. Lysandre's smile disappeared and turned into disgust. Alain looked up, 'promise me!' He said firmly. Lysandre smiled once again, 'Promise.' Alain smiled and walked off leaving Lysandre alone.

'Xerosic? Are you there?' Lysandre held up a phone. Xerosic's figure appeared. He looked tired and worn out. A bit of blood was on his face. 'Where have you been?' Lysandre asked looking at him. 'Sorry boss but I finally ended him' Xerosic said. 'Excellent! This will definitely lure the boy. And tell Alain that Ketchum has to be alone' Lysandre said. 'Yes sir!' Xerosic said before hanging up.

He took the lift and went up a floor to his grunts working. 'Andy, get the capture balls ready. Celosia go with Bryony to Xerosic, he has work for the both of you' the three of them saluted him and went away. Lysandre walked to the window of the gym and smirked,' this world will be mine!'

Ash suddenly felt a tug in his gut. He stopped in his tracks and looked winded. He looked around and saw nobody nearby. He walked into the bathroom and locked it behind him. He looked in the mirror. It started to waver and Arceus's face appeared. 'Arceus?' Ash whispered surprised. 'Ash,' he said weakly, 'this is probably the last time we talk like this.' Arceus whimpered. 'Huh?' Ash asked confused. 'The war is right on your door step now. The fate is in your hands, Ash.' Arceus seemed to be in a hurry. 'What about you? Where are you now?' Ash asked. 'Sorry Ash I must go. You will understand soon. Make the world better' Arceus said before disappearing of the mirror. Ash was about to call out but knew he was gone. He felt another tug in his gut but this time it was more pain. He held his stomach in agony for a few minutes before it stopped.

He walked out of the toilet and found everyone gathered at centre. 'Ash!' Serena said. 'Yes?' Ash asked. 'We're running low on supplies and we need to get them but it is too dangerous to wonder around the city' Clemont said. Alain's eyes widened at this point. He looked at Ash. Tears were forming in his eyes. He turned around and wiped them away, 'sorry Ash' he muttered. He turned back around, 'Me and Ash can use our invisibility to search the city' Alain said. Everyone's eyes lit up, 'yes good thinking!' Cilan said. 'Make sure to get lots of food' Max said rubbing his stomach.

Everyone chuckled amongst them selves , 'well Alain let's go' Ash said. Ash started to walk to the exit before Clemont stopped him. 'Take this!' He threw a gadget which Ash caught. 'It's a device which we can communicate through and will give us an idea on where you are' Clemont said smirking. 'Awesome!' Ash said with his eyes lit up. 'Please Ash stay out of harm' Serena said and planted a kiss on the lips, 'don't worry,' Ash said smiling, 'let's go Alain' he added and the duo started to walk out.

'Well should we turn invisible?' Ash asked looking at Alain. Alain ignored him and was just staring into space. His awareness and hearing had left him for that minute until Ash smacked the back of his head. 'Ow! What was that for?' Alain asked rubbing his head in pain. 'I asked if we should turn invisible' Ash said. 'No not yet' Alain said and focused around him.

They were on the eve on the city when Alain had spotted Celosia and Byrony lurking behind one of the roots. 'Alain, you don't seem right' Ash said pointing out his pale face. 'I'm fine Ash' he replied with no emotion. 'No you do seem edgy. But I guess it's just the war thing right?' Ash said. 'Yea..' Alain mumbled. They had reached the city in know time and started keeping their distance from the roots.

'Ash this way seems better' Alain said pointing in the direction of the two hiding grunts. Ash didn't see the grunts and followed him. However a root appeared in front of them. Alain threw out Charizard and asked him to use dragon claw. The claws burst straight through it. But another one came and this time Ash asked Pikachu to use Iron tail. The tail also burst through it with ease.

They were going to continue until a dark pulse landed at Ash's feet. The duo started coughing as smoke engulfed the air around them. Once it had settled a minute later, the two grunts stood there with their arms crossed. Ash looked up and looked at them.

'Ah so this is the boy' Celosia said smirking. 'He seems fit' Byrony said seductively and walked towards Ash. She dragged her finger across Ash's face. Ash sweated in nervousness and fear. 'Get off me!' He shouted and pulled away from the grunt. 'Feisty!' Byrony teased and licked her finger.

'Stop with this!' Alain shouted. 'No Lysandre needs him for his power!' Celosia shouted. 'Lysandre!' Ash mumbled, 'you're Lysnadre's grunts!' Ash exclaimed nervously. 'Are you stupid?' Celosia asked. 'Alain we need to go now!' Ash grabbed his hand but Alain shrugged him off. 'Alain?' Ash said.

'Hahaha Alain you have done well' Byrony said laughing. Ash looked at the laughing grunts then back to Alain who was avoiding eye contact. 'No I don't believe them. Alain let's go!' Ash said. Alain didn't listen. 'Listen Ketchum, he's ours. So shut up!' Byrony said. Ash looked at Alain in pain.

'Drapion use mysterious light' Celosia said. Her Pokémon sent lights which swirled around Ash and Pikachu's head before smashing into him. Ash felt his body giveaway and fall to the ground. His eyelids were getting heavy. He glanced at Alain, 'why.. Alain.' He whimpered before falling to the ground unconscious. Pikachu tried to fight it. He ran to Ash and tried to wake him up but was too weak. He then buckled and fell to the ground unconscious.

'Attach those capture balls now' Celosia said. Byrony nodded and inserted 4 balls on all fours of Ash. 'The boss will be proud Alain' Celosia said patting Alain on the back. Alain clenched his fists in anger. 'I need my revenge!'

Delia woke up and found herself in a chamber. She looked around helplessly. She found Giovanni knocked out in the corner. 'That twat deserves that!' She thought. She then looked through the bars and saw a figure walking around, it was red. 'Red!' She called over. Red looked in her direction but just ignored her. 'Please Red talk to me!' She said, 'it's not evil me! It real me!' She said desperately. Red hesitated but walked over to her.

'What is it? Huh!? You tortured my son!' Red said angrily. 'Listen to me!' Delia said but Red carried. 'Why should I talk to someone who despised my son! Tell me now!' Red said in anger. 'Listen!' Delia shouted. Red stumbled a few step backs. 'All these years Giovanni has used Malamar to control me. Every time I've tried to resist' She said holding up Ash's necklace. 'You never saw it did you! You never thought about why I had been taken away. Listen I've always tried to talk to Ash but he always disappeared when I had my chance. But the other day I talked with him' Delia said. 'Yes I know that happened' Red mumbled angrily.

'Look deep down he knows I'm telling the truth! Deep down you know I'm telling the truth! You have to believe me. I love you both so deeply! Please Red open your eyes. Your blinded by hatred!' Delia said with a few tears rolling down her cheeks. Red looked straight into her eyes. He could see honesty in her eyes. 'Okay fine, but I'll have my eyes on you' Red sighed. He unlocked the door with a pick. Delia scrambled out and hugged Red. 'Thank you!' She said with tears of Joy. 'Your welcome' Red replied.

Delia then saw her necklace grow red. 'What's happening with the necklace?' Red asked noticing it as well. 'Oh no!' Delia said worriedly. 'What!?' Red asked.

'Ash is in Danger!'
