"Good morning Mr. Terry! Rose ordered this for you and hand you this file." Nancy hands him a bouquet of roses and a brown envelope.

***

Well, Nancy is Terry's secretary. She's dedicated to her job but also hoping Terry would ask her out... Maybe someday.

***

"For heaven's sake? Why did rose send me these?" A voice sounded in his aching head. He frowned and opened it.
"What's this file? What's this all about?"

In it was a letter saying she broke up with Dylan and wants to move in with him.

"What the fuck! Who does that?" His eyes almost caught fire when he looked at Nancy. She was standing still, almost frozen in front of her boss. Her red lips trembling as she tried to think of wirds to calm him diwn but couldn't find any.

"Any office work?"

"No.. No.. oo sir. No off.. ease work. Not yeet.." She swallowed.

"Okay." Terry faked a smile and entered his office.

***

Minutes Later...

"RING! RING!! RING!!!"

Terry picked up the phone.

"Is this Terry Walter?"

"Yes, any problem?"

"Davis Johnson had an accident last night, he's admitted into our hospital.

"What?! Grandpa?!"

"You're the last person he called.. We find his phone this morning."

"Okay.. I'll be right there in few seconds!" He ended the call as drowziness engulfed him. His heart throbbed as his head pound.

"What should I do? What should I do?!" A voice sounded in his head. He guess... He was confused. Totally confused.

Terry quickly grabbed his car keys and left for the hospital.

'We spoke last night where he advised me to settle down with a girl of my choice. I only hope Grandpa is alright.' He thought as he increase the speed limit and zooming off hitting the road. Terry's hands and body were sweaty, even my tongue. He drove as fast as I could with tears poring out of my inner eyes.

Just as terry rushed into the busy hospital, he met Phil and Tisha in the reception. Their faces were so down and wary, like that of an innocent crime suspect who's been sentenced to death by hanging.

I know the question in your minds... Whose Phil and Tisha?

Tisha is Maggie's daughter. Terry and Tisha have been friends since pre-school and we've been friends for over twenty years now but we're only friends, nothing more.

Although, Tisha hopes that he'll one day fall for her. I remember clearly... Terry once told her he can never fall in love when she confessed her feelings to him.

He told her 'WE' can't happen.

Philip Collins is my mom's seventeenth boyfriend. Although he acts nice and unnecessarily caring and interested, all he wants is my mom's or should I say my inheritance.

Philip Collins worked in a pharmaceutical industry for seven years until he got sacked two years ago for stealing the industry's savings. Somehow I believe it, he's human... Nothing is impossible.

"Why am I surrounded by pretenders?" Terry asked myself and sighed.

"Tee! Thank goodness you're here!... " Tisha threw her tiny self on him, shedding out her crocodile tears as usual. Couching herself to his shoulders like a child that missed her long lost dad.

"The doctor said the accident was critical. Davis had an attack while driving home last night."

"OMG! He told me he wanted to go to the bar but I insisted we should go this evening, since today's Friday."

Doctor Manda Richard has been working for Health Care Hospital for over ten years. She's tall and sexy, hardworking mother of two with strawberry-red hair, pale skin and always wearing this gigantic specs on her big eyes. I guess she's not short-sighted.

Thinking Tisha would finally leave my arms, she dragged me to the doctor and asked about grandpa's health.

"Tell us, Is he better now? Can we see him?"

"Yes, he is... Actually, he isn't." Manda muttered as she rubbed her forehead. She must be completely stressed out.

"You said?"

"Emmm... What am trying to say is that you guys really need to calm down."

"What's wrong with Davis! Tell me what's going on with my grandpa!! I hate stories!!!" Terry barked at her but seriously, he was really getting pissed off at the moment.

"Calm down, Tee. Everything is fine." Tisha held my arm tighter.

"Errr... Realistically, Mr. Davis's stroke really affected him this time and the accident made things worse. I'm so sorry Terry, we lost him. "

"What? You mean my grandpa is dead?!" He barked louder this time as I leaned hopelessly to the wall.

"I'm really sorry... " Manda patted my back and left. I broke down on the bench, crying my eyes out (that is, in my mind because I can't cry in public. I'm confident, I can't let anyone see me break down). My eyes turned red but I faced down and clenched my jaws.

"It is so painful, really painful." Phil muttered sadly.

"Davis was my favorite, my best friend, my hero and adviser. Now he is taken away from me. " I thought inside my mind.

Phil followed doctor Manda to clear up the body and prepare for the burial while there, wanting to sympathize with me but not knowing how to, or what to say.

Although, she was crying. Shedding out all the crocodile tears in her usual way. I didn't mutter anything so she stopped.

"I don't need sympathy and I can't sympathize." I thought again, feeling bored.

An hour later...

"I'm going home, Tisha. It's a minute past twelve."

She stood up immediately
"Okay, I'll come with you, I need to see my mom too."

"I can drive you home if you want... " Tisha yelled after me but I didn't reply.

I didn't pay any attention to her, I was really pissed off. I opened the car and got in, not minding if she's following me or not. She quickly got in and put on the seat belt. I zoomed off the street with full speed. Well, that's how I drive... Tisha is used to it and also, I enjoy the way the breeze hits my face but today, I'm not just happy or in the mood.

Hitting the road, Tisha started playing "solidad" on her phone. It's one of my favorite music but not at this moment. It sounded so much like a bee buzzing in my ear.

"All I need right now is SILENCE!" I almost barked again and this time, to Tisha.
