Elsie and Macy sneaked into the buffet line behind Lexi and Darcy, and, to Elsie's relief, no one knew who she was. Yet. The girls took their seats, all next to each other, and tucked in to supper, chatting briefly before the headmistress came to the podium. The entire dining hall fell silent, the occasional clink of silverware on plates heard, as the headmistress made her annual welcome speech.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the Kensington Dance School. You are all here because you are the best of the best. I trust you have all found supper to be satisfactory. Please, let us give a round of applause to the chefs," Mrs. Damask paused for a moment to applaud the chefs.

"Now, classes will begin tomorrow, bright and early at 8am. The schedules vary from person to person, so keep an eye on those so you're not late. Lunch will be at 12 noon everyday, and supper will be at 7pm. Curfew is 11pm, and lights out is 12 midnight. Of course, you may sleep earlier if you wish, but that is between you and your roommates," she continued.

"Now, the last order of business before I allow you to chat with your peers. Of the many new students we have joining us this year, one in particular stood out to me when I reviewed audition videos. This young lady not only excels in classical ballet training, but is very competent in Contemporary Dance and Irish Dance as well. Ladies and gentlemen, Elsie Dukes, from the United States of America, is here to study with us. Elsie, if you would, please stand and wave," Mrs. Damask introduced Elsie.

Elsie did as was requested before sitting back down after about thirty seconds.

"Now, I shall leave you all to finish supper," Mrs. Damask left the podium, and an excited buzz filled the air and people began to chatter excitedly about having a celebrity among them.

Elsie looked around nervously, catching eyes with Lexi, before scooting her chair back and taking care of her plate, not even giving the dessert line a second glance.

"Are you alright?" Lexi asked in Elsie's ear, noticing Elsie's uptight behaviour.

Elsie refused to say a word until they reached the lift.

"Too many people were looking at me and staring at me and judging me. Do you guys have some sort of gym?" Elsie asked nervously.

"What kind of gym? We have one with treadmills and weights and such, but we also have one with gymnastics equipment. Coach Alina is usually there most of the time, so we could pop in," Lexi explained as they exited the lift and made their way to the room.

"The gymnastics one is perfect," Elsie answered, unzipping one of the duffel bags and rummaging around to find a purple leotard, a hairbrush, and her hair kit. She quickly changed into the leotard in the large en-suite before coming back out and flipping her head over, collecting her hair into a ponytail, securing it with a ponytail holder, and clipping back fringe with clips and bobby pins.

"Okay, I'm ready," Elsie said, slipping on a pair of sweatpants and grabbing the duffel, placing her phone, sweat towel, and an empty water bottle in there, along with her hair kit.

Lexi took in Elsie's appearance.

"Wow. You look amazing," Lexi breathed. What other surprises did Elsie have? Competent in three different types of dance, plus a gymnast?

The two girls left the room and made their way down to the gym, but not before passing the pool, which was next to the gym containing treadmills, and weights, which perked Elsie's interest. She could check that out later.
