~~~Anika's POV~~~

I opened my eyes hearing shivaay's voice which wasn't the normal one. He sounded shocked and tensed.

"Shivaay" I called out as soon as he dropped the call. He looked at me opening his eyes which were moist now.

"A-Anika" He walked to me and caressed my face, not with affection but fear.  I've seen the same fear before too when I got kidnapped in London.

"What happened? Is everything fine?" I asked holding his hand as my heart started beating faster.

"N-No." He hardly spoke and stood up. "Come with me" He took me with him and I silently walked with him to his car and we drove away.

"Please tell me... Is everything fine?" I asked again once we were on the road.

"My car met with an accident."He muttered and I looked at him with shock.

"But- It's fine and you're safe?" I asked and he nodded in No.

"I was supposed to be in that car with you. Michael was in that car anika" He revealed to me and I felt numb trying to register everything.

"Is he fine?" I hardly asked and he nodded in a yes. Making me sigh out and relax little.

"I just don't want to lose him. I don't know why it happens with me, He's critical and nothing could be said..." He explained crying little.

Michale isn't just his bodyguard or worker. He's his best friend and the part of the family. Just like Rahul was. I prayed to GOD to not let anything happen to Michael now as it'll not be bearable. 

"Annie you know he's one in thousands. Loyal and humble. He's my family member, Just like om and Rudra. He's in this condition just because of me. I shouldn't have asked him to go office." He cried regretting.

"Sshh... Nothing will happen to him. I know he's strong and will be fine soon. Just have trust in GOD" I patted his shoulder and he shooked his head in negative.

"No anika. I don't think I can trust GOD. Whenever I try to trust him he just... Just does something which leads to my disbelief on him. I have no trust." He wiped off his tears parking his car and we both walked in the hospital where Michael was admitted.

"Shivaay..." Pari called him as soon as we reached the emergency ward.

"How's he?" Shivaay asked moving to them.

"He's serious," Rajveer replied and placed his hand on shivaay's shoulder.

"How all this happened?" Shivaay asked controlling his tears.

"We don't know anything yet." A man whom I don't know spoke and shivaay gave them a slight nod and sat down on the bench.

"Why you didn't inform the police?" I spoke as I found no police nearby and till I know it's an accident case.

"We've Informed and they're investigating," Rajveer spoke and I gave a nod and moved to shivaay's side.

"Shivaay..." I placed my hand on his lap and he looked at me with his moist eyes. The pain in his eyes is same which I saw when Rahul's topic came up.

"Anika he's in this state because of me. I lost Rahul and I think it was because of me that Rahul faced all that. They're innocent then why they've to suffer just because of me?" Shivaay cried and covered his face with his palms.

"Shivaay be a strong man. You can't fall weak like this. Your enemies want this only and you're doing exactly what they want..." The man spoke and shivaay nodding wiped his tears.

"You're right Raj. I'll not fall weak and will fight back enough of suffering and sacrifices. Now they will see what shivaay Singh Oberoi can do" Shivaay said to the man whose name is raj.

I gave him a small smile while patting his shoulder. I'm happy to see him strong and much happy as he got such good friends who're with him from day one. I feel little jealous too seeing shivaay's bond with his brothers, family and friends. He got all that I wanted to have. Well, now whatever is his, is mine too.

"Anika" I came out of thoughts as shivaay called me out.

"Yeah?" I looked at him.

"Are you fine?" He asked me while taking my hand in his.

"Yea. Any news about Michael?" I asked and he lowered his eyes as tears brimmed in them.

"He's out of danger but slipped to come." He spoke not looking up.

I can understand what he must be going through. Somewhere he's feeling guilty because he was supposed to be in that car and not Michael.

"Shivaay. Don't feel guilty. He'll get fine soon." I side hugged him and he nodded.

Soon we reached back home as I wasn't feeling well and also, shivaay arranged special doctors and room for him.

"Feeling hungry?" Shivaay asked me as we all got settled in our room.

I looked at him with shock visible on my face as I was really feeling hungry but didn't say anything because the atmosphere was little tensed.

"Don't be so shocked. I can sense it." He smiled and walked out with the tray.

"He loves you so much." Raj smiled and I smiled back.

"We're seeing him like this after very long time. He was always like this but after Rahul's disappearance and death he changed a lot." Rajveer said and I looked at the direction where my love went.

I know how much he has changed from stone to sweet. This journey wasn't too long but neither short. In such short span we faced many phases and finally, we're what we should be.

"Thinking about past?" Pari asked me and I nodded.

"You're thinking right anika. It's you who've changed him a lot. We had no hope that our shivaay will ever come back but you did it and he's so happy and changed for something GOOD. Thank you so much" Pari thanked me and then raj and rajveer too thanked me. I smiled at them and felt lucky to be their friend and shivaay's wife.

"Here's your lunch wifey" He entered with a smile while pushing a trolled with him.

"Nothing for us?" Pari pouted sadly and shivaay rolled his eyes.

"Idiot. Here's yours too.  Come join us." He said while sitting beside me.

Soon Jessica entered and arranged lunch for us. 

After some time we were done with lunch and I was served with the fresh juice of beetroot, which I loved so much as shivaay made me have it.

We all had so many random talks about business and other stuff during lunch and went silent as we finished lunch.

"What's the matter that you guys wanted to meet me?" Shivaay looked at the trio and the trio started exchanging looks.

"Actually shivaay it's about R..." Raj couldn't complete as shivaay got some call and walked out excusing himself.

Are they here to tell him something about Rahul? Did they found out something? I looked up at them and they were discussing something.

"If you don't mind can you tell me that Is it about Rahul?" I asked and they smiling gave me a nod.

I smiled back and walked to the washroom with same thoughts.  They'll bring up that topic, shivaay is already mentally disturbed and hurt. What if this all affects his brain and stresses him? I can't take this chance. I won't be able to see him suffering now. I don't want him to go through anything like this.

Taking out my mobile I dialled his number and called him in the washroom.After some time he entered and hurriedly rushed to me and embraced me in a tight hug.

"W-what happened shivaay?" I asked patting his back as he breathed heavily.

"I got inspector's call. He informed me that they've caught the man who hit our car." He withdrew and looked at me.

"Anika that accident was pre-planned and was for us." He firmly held my face in his hands and caressed my cheek with his thumb. "We were supposed to be in that car and would've met with the accident if we were there... Because it was meant for us. The person wanted to kill us." He again pulled me into the hug and I calmed him while I myself was freaking out again and again. 

All the signs are scaring me but this time we're together and will not let any harm reach us or destroy us.

"Shivaay Promise me you'll not leave me ever?" I asked parting and he looked at me puzzled.

"What happened?" He asked holding my hand and I gave him a weak smile.

"I'm scared once again. All the signs aren't good but I know one thing. Till you're with me nothing will harm us but promise me, You'll always be with me? You'll never leave me no matter what?" I showed him my fear and He kissed my hand.

"I promise you, Annie, no matter what, I'll never leave you. Even if I've to fight with GOD to stay with you, Then too. I'll fight and will always be with you. You'll always find me by your side" He gave me a smile of assurance and I nodded.

"Whatever is going to happen outside may be little disturbing for you as it's about Rahul. Please, shivaay do not take any stress which will harm you" I placed my head on his chest.

"I'll take care of myself for you" He kissed my forehead and hugged me.

"Thank you"

"Thanks to you anika. You've helped me a lot otherwise I would've been sad still but you made me smile." He kissed me and I responded.

Sharing a short kiss we both walked out to know the truth!!!
