"Everyone has everything they need?" Leland questions to the whole group. They nod and a few mumble yeahs. "Ok, and no one needs to pee because we aren't stopping for four hours." He warns.

"I'll be right back." Chloe says running back into the apartment to use the restroom.

"Ok, anyone else go or hop in a car." He says going over to his sister and girlfriend. He wraps his arm around Layla's waist before look down at his sister. "Just tell me when you need to switch out of driving."

"I will." She says back watching as people file into her van. "Who's sitting in front with me?" She asks hoping it's one of them.

"I believe Ella is." Layla says and Taylor's eyes shoot open. She laughs at her friend's reaction before saying, "I think Chloe or Austin will."

"Don't do that to me." Taylor says shaking her head.

"Come on Ella's not that bad." Leland says and Taylor raises her eyebrows. Just then Ella makes her way over to them.

"Hey, guys. I was wondering who goes into the truck?" She asks in her high pitched voice.

"Jack and Analyze, why?" Leland asks confused.

"Oh, I was just wondering because all of our bags are in their truck. I hope Jack drives like an adult and not a teenager." She says with a small laugh.

"Everything will be fine, or Jack's gonna have to worry about everyone killing him," Layla says with a smile.

"If you say so. Ok, well I'll see you guys in the van." She says before walking off to the van. Layla looks over at Taylor with hopeful eyes.

"See, she's not that bad." She says and Taylor shakes her head.

"I just don't like her. I can't explain it, she just annoys me." Taylor says with a shrug. They all turn as Chloe comes running out of the house.

"We're all good, but who's locking the door?" She asks. I hold up my keys and walk to the front door. Once it's locked she stays at the door. "You know most of the people, you got this." She says to herself before walking back to the van.

She gets into the front seat and buckets herself before starting the car. She turns and sees Chloe's in front with her. "Ok, what type of music?" She asks and the car erupts in noise.

"Hey, hey, how about every two hours a person gets to choose the next type?" Chloe asks looking at Taylor. Taylor nods. Chloe looks at the group in the back. "Ok, hey. Listen, every two hours someone else get's to decide the genre. We'll start in the back. Ella, what station?" She asks.

"Country." She says with her high voice. Taylor rolls her eyes and changes the channel, but the rest of the car groans. Chloe turns back in her seat and looks over at Taylor.

"Shouldn't have started with her." She says and Taylor laughs with a small nod. She then pulls out of the parking lot with Jack behind her.

"Finally, my ears are bleeding." Carson says and then gets a slap from Julia.

"Ok, Carson?" Chloe asks.

"The Razer." He replies. Taylor smiles and changes the station to 94.7.

"Hey, can we play a game?" Taylor hears from the back.

"What?" She hears her brother's voice. There isn't a reply for about a minute.

"What about I'm going on a picnic?" She asks and Taylor realizes it's Julia's voice.

"Sure, start it off." She hears from Layla.

"Ok, I'm going on a picnic and I'm gonna bring an....astronaut." She says turning to her boyfriend.

"I'm going on a picnic and I'm going to bring an astronaut and a...begeal." He says already bored with the game.

Once it gets to Taylor she's ready. "I'm going on a picnic and I'm bringing an astronaut, a begeal, cat, the dead, fasciculation, umm.." She says trying to remember Austins. "Oh, a galaxy, and a hippo." She says for her answer.

"Ok, I got this." Chloe says. "I'ma bring an astronaut, a begeal, a cat, the dead, the f word that I don't know, the galaxy,....oh crap," She pauses and looks at Taylor. "What did you say?" She asks even though she knows Taylor can't say. "A,b,c,d,e,f,g,h, ok and h word." She says thinking and then she jumps. "A f*cking hippo, gosh that was hard. And I'll bring.." She goes through the alphabet trying to see what letter after h. "Igloo."

The game goes on for a while and more and more people forget causing the group to have to start over without them. "Ok, Leland, Austin, and Taylor." Chloe says.

"Binging a....adrenaline." Leland says.

"Bringing adrenaline, and boxes." Austin says. Chloe looks over at Taylor.

"Adrenaline, boxes, and Campylobacteriosis." She says with a smile.

"Gross." Layla says.

"You two weren't far this whole game. None of us know what those damn words mean." Leland says. Taylor just smiles in the front. "Ok, adrenaline, boxes, campybacteriosis, or something, and the devil."

"Adrenaline, boxes, campylobactersis, the devil, and an elephant." Austin says.

"Adrenaline, boxes, campylobacteriosis is how it's pronounced, the devil, an elephant, and fingers." She says. Leland lets out a breath.

They continue all the way to y when Austin stares blankly, "You just said it to." He says. Taylor laughs knowing he won't get it. "Dammit, it was one of your stupid medical terms wasn't it?" He asks trying to remember.

"Oh, are you gonna be out?" Leland says with a bright smile. Austin thinks, but then lets his head fall.

"I'm out, what was it?"

"Yersiniosis." Taylor says laughing.

"Ok, games on. The two siblings." Layla says.

"Who are you cheering for?" Leland asks.

"My girlfriend of course. You go Taylor." She says and Leland scoffs. Layla laughs and pecks him on the lips.

"My girlfriend loves my sister more than me." He says causing everyone to laugh. Layla rolls her eyes at him. "Ok, I'm just gonna say the word. Apple."

"Apple, bacteria." Taylor says.

"Apple, bacteria, cows." Leland says repeating the words in his head.

"Come on man, you got his." Carson says.

"Apple, bacteria, cows, Dacryocystorhinostomy, ha I got that one, eggs, fasciolopsis, goat, hypoglycemia, ice, jacks,..." he pauses going through the alphabet. "This one was mine to...keys, legs, moon,....naturopathy, ocean," he goes through the alphabet again."p, um what was p....pachymengy or pachymeninges something like that, then q." He pauses.

"This was yours." Taylor says laughing.

"I know, shut up." He says and Taylor shakes her head.

"Come on, you can remember all the weird words, but not a simple one." Carson says staring at him.

"Oh my gosh, what the hell did I say?" He asks to himself. They all sit there waiting for him to give an answer. "Oh, quaff." He says and Carson shakes his head.

"Questions, you were going to bring questions." Carson says and then gives his girlfriend a 20 dollar bill.

"Good, because I wasn't going to make it through again." Taylor says taking an exit.

"You know what's sad?" Layla asks the group. "The person driving is the one that kickeds our asses. She can't even focus on everything we are saying." She says and the group nods.

"I just got a good memory," Taylor says pulling into a gas station.

"Ok, get what you want and use the bathrooms," Leland says opening the van door. Everyone files out and Taylor goes to the other side to fill her tank.

She waits patiently for the pump to stop when Austin pops up. Taylor jumps not seeing him at first. "Jesus." She says holding her chest.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. Your brother wants to know if you want anything?" He asks.

"Oh, umm, a Gatorade and a few granola bars." She says just when the pump stops. She grabs it and puts it back as Austin turns to leave. She watches as he goes and wonders about him. Why hasn't Layla ever mentioned him before, yet they seem really close? She shakes her head deciding it's not important.

She stretches before getting back into the van. She watches as they start to come out of the gas station. Instead of Chloe sitting by her, Layla does. "It's also my turn to have the channel." She says changing it. When the two recognize the song they start singing.

"Well that ain't my shade of pink. And I can tell by the smell of that perfume, it's like forty dollars too cheap." They both sing along.

When the song's done they bust out in giggles. "What's so funny?" Leland asks leaning up towards them.

"Nothing that you need to know," Layla says and Taylor nods. Everyone talks about stuff and the ride isn't too loud.

Carson and Julia are asleep in the very back. Leland's looking tired along with Chloe, but Austin, Layla, and Taylor are still wide awake. The two girls look at each other when another song comes on. "She just wants to be beautiful. She goes unnoticed, she knows no limits." They sing along with the song.

Austin watches the two girls and smiles to himself. They are both singing off pitch and being crazy with their hands and motions. He watches as Taylor become less shy when she's with Layla and more outgoing.

"Hey, where did Jack go?" Taylor says looking in her rearview mirror. Layla looks back trying to see.

"I don't know. Pull over." She says. Taylor goes to the side of the road and Layla pulls out her phone.

"Hey, we lost you guys." Layla says into her phone. Taylor looks over at her waiting for an answer. "Jack said he was ready to pass out so they switched seats and got stuck behind a ton of traffic. They'll be up by us in a little." She says putting her phone in a cup holder.

Layla looks in the back to see if everyone's asleep. She can't see Austin clearly, but guesses he's asleep. "See the trip has been good. You've been talking and laughing with everyone."

"Yeah, I guess." Taylor says with a shrug.

"You guess? Come on you're happy I made you come." Layla says with a smile.

"I had to come it's my car." She replies. Layla lightly hits her.

"Jerk." She mumbles. Taylor laughs and then Layla smirks. "So, what's going on with Austin?" She asks.

Austin tries not to move but wants to make sure he hears whatever Taylor says. "What do you mean?" She asks confused.

"Come on. You don't notice anything. He's been trying to talk to you." Layla says. Austin scoffs and then freezes. Layla looks back, but shrugs not noticing a difference.

"No, he just keeps...popping up. He scared me while we were at the gas station." Taylor says looking for Jack and Analyze.

"Well, I think someone likes you." Layla teases.

"Oh, shut up would you. There they are." She says seeing them in the mirror. Taylor pulls back onto the road just ahead of them.

"Hey, I'm going to get some sleep, just wake Leland or I up when you wanna switch." She says and then climbs into the back. She makes Leland move so she can sit down. He does and wraps his arm around her.

Taylor smiles at the two. She then focuses back onto the road. She drives for another hour when someone on the highway cuts her off causing her to slam on the breaks. "Jesus." Taylor says as the person goes and cuts another person off. "Learn how to drive." She mumbles.

She looks in the back and sees that everyone's still asleep except for Austin. He sitting up looking around. He finds her looking in the mirror. "Stupid drivers?" He asks.

"Yeah." She says looking back to the road. She hears shuffling and looks to see Austin making his way to the passenger seat. She glances at him as he gets into the front seat. Once he does he stretches.

"It's cramped back there." He says answering her questioning look.

"Not much better up here." She says moving in her seat. He shrugs and leans back in the chair. Taylor changes lanes for the fourth time and yawns.

"I can drive," Austin says.

"Thanks, I'm fine." She says and another yawn comes.

"You really are a daredevil, but I don't want us accidentally getting into an accident. Just pull over. We'll be at the first place in about four hours anyway." He says. Taylor looks over at him before nodding her head. She pulls over and they both hop out of the car to switch places.

Once back in the car Taylor gets comfortable and falls asleep almost immediately.
