"Why am I even thinking about that flirty guy?" she wondered.

"Don't know why am I thinking the two big flirts," she chided remembering the faceless flirty guy and the new handsome junior inspector.

"Babes?" A husky-voice can be heard.

Khushi sighed. He entered in the cabin whistling.

"This is office, ASR. Maintain its dignity," she chided, sunrays reflecting a frown on her face.

"I know this is your office, babes. But you know me, right?" he charmed his way.

"Your charms won't work on me, so forget it." she rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, how can I forget you're the one and only KKG, right?" he mimicked her action.

"What brings you here?" she was straight to the point.

"I need your help, baby," he pouted.

"I knew it." she sighed.

He grinned sheepishly.

"Out with it, will you?" she whispered furiously.

"Actually I-" he was cut off as his phone rang.

"Give me a sec, baby. I'll be back," he said and rushed outside.

"Okay," Khushi whispered to nothing.

She then concentrated on reading the file Arnav left for her.

"May I come in?" She heard him again.

"Come in," she sighed.

"What?" she asked as he stood silently.

"Report you've asked to work on, here it is!" he placed the file on the table showing his teeth.

"Let's see if you can continue throwing your smile after I'm done with this report," she glared at him.

And he grinned more.

And then she glared more.

And then he grinned more.

"Cyanide, I need you badly!"

"Looks like all Dentists have died over the night in this world," she whispered to herself taking the file in her hand. Poor file, is in the tight grip of Khushi Kiran Gupta and any second can expect its breath to stop, unless the Greek God here had mercy on him and had the report accurate, without a possibilty of 0.01% inaccurancy, otherwise it will get into thrown into the air mercilessly.

She started going through it in the hope of catching at least a spelling mistake if not more. And unwillingly she had to agree that report was 100% correct. In her mind only, tho. KKG never appreciates anyone openly, especially if it's someone she's irritated with. Never!

"Hmm..nice, " she said after reading the report he submitted.

"Just nice?" he mumbled. Unfortunately for the Junior Inspector, ACP heard him.

She glared at his guts. And unfortunately for ACP, the Junior Inspector smirked at the glare she sent his way. Hmm..I am striking at the right point, he thought.

"I think I need a cyanide now," he said clutching his heart.

"What?" she asked bemused.

"Cyanide. Heard the word?" he repeated.

"I have a really good vocabulary, Mr. Raizada," she smirked.

"I know that, Ms. Gupta," he smirked back.

"Okay, fine! So, why do you need it?" she asked keeping a check on her temper.

"Why? Because I need to inject it," he answered simply.

"You want to kill me?" she asked bewildered.

"No! Not really. It's for me," he replied.

This made the great Khushi Kiran Gupta to frown.

"You want to kill your self?" she raised her brows.

"But why?" she mumbled before ASR can react.

"You are smart enough to think and conclude," ASR made his statement.

"Do you think you're smarter?" she raised her eyebrow.

"Of course, no! I mean-" he was interrupted by another voice.

"I'm sorry, babes. Hope I wasn't late and-" and his words came to halt looking at the person in front of him.

"ASR?" he mumbled shocked.

ASR turned to look at him, not really surprised. He recognized his voice, after all he had worked with for almost three years.

"Hi, Aryan," ASR smiled at him.

Aryan Rathode

"What a surprise, you and here?" Aryan was out from shock and his excitement turned on.

ASR smiled again, "Yeah, actually I-" and he was cut off by Aryan once again.

"Wait, don't tell me you've actually joined here? Did you?" Aryan was once again shocked.

"Well, I did join here. You can see that, right?" ASR smirked.

"I thought you weren't serious. Damn! You were and stupid me thought you weren't," he tapped his head once.

All this while, KKG has been sitting stupidly turning her eyes from left to right and right to left and then again left to right and right to left.

"ASR, do you know him?" she asked standing. Enough of her eye rolling game.

"Yes!" Khushi heard tow voices at the same time.

Khushi frowned at two boys and these guys frowned at each other.

"I'm ASR here!" and then again she heard both of them say that.

"Khushi was calling me, okay?" they both said it to each other and again not a second was late for both of them to talk again, so, eventually ended up talking at the same time, tho, frequencies were different. While Arnav Singh Raizada's was husky, Aryan Rathode's voice was raspy.

Khushi has had enough. "Okay, now. Enough," she took a pause, "Mr. Arnav Raizada, I was meant to call Aryan as ASR and not you, and anyway, why do you think I'd call you ASR?" she folded her arms looking at him.

"Hmm..because I'm Arnav Singh Raizada, as in ASR?" his voice was deep as he said that.

"Oh, is that so? I forgot your complete name actually," she faked a smile.

"But I was meant to call Aryan as ASR, not you!" she completed her sentence shrugging her shoulders.

"I get it when someone would call me ASR because I've that initials, A, S, and R. Why would someone call Aryan Rathode as ASR, where's S went?" he questioned genuinely.

"That's none of your business!" KKG was back to her fiery mode.

"Aryan, did I miss something in your name? Like, damn!" he paused, "even in office nobody calls you as ASR, ASR is me, right? Because I'm Arnav Singh Raizada or am I missing something? Am I, Aryan?" Arnav questions Aryan.

"Of course, not, ASR! It's just Khushi who calls me as ASR and why if I you ask, it's bec- ", he was cut ff by KKG.

"That's none of his business, Mr Aryan Rathode. You better shut up," she was furious as she said that and Aryan knows when she doesn't mention him as ASR, it only meant, you're in great trouble. And so he shut his mouth.

"And that reminds how do you know each other?" she looked at both of them for answers.

"Khushi, we used to work in the same company, tho, were in different departments. He's a fashion designer and as you know, I'm a Manager. Though he resigned few months back from our company citing the reason of joining police force, I didn't believe him, and you know he-" his lucknow expression was put into a stop by KKG.

"Okay, enough. I get it, you both work in Pearls Fashion House. That's enough of an information and I don't want Mahabharata or Ramanyana or whatever you're trying to say. Get it, Aryan?" KKG waited for his nod.

"Yeah, I get it. Sorry," Aryan mumbled.

KKG shook her head and went back to her chair for sitting.

"So, Mr. Arnav Raizada, since you're done with the task I've assigned you, go to Mr. Arnav Bhatt and work along with him in our latest cases, do you get me?" she questioned raising her face to look at him all the while before signing on the report he was done with and giving remarks.

ASR nodded his head. Hmphh! Laadgoverness! Always commanding everyone but I like it. He thought smirking.

"And handover this report to Mr Bhatt," she said giving back his report to him.

"Okay, Khushi." KKG glared at him and looking at her glare, he changed his stance to, "I meant Madam."

"Go now," she commanded and he walked out smirking. She stared as he walked away.

"Khushi?" Aryan called out for her and she turned to look at him.

"If you're free, can we go out somewhere?"

KKG was about to deny but Aryan who has already guessed her answer started his express, "Please baby, please, it's important, please, please, please-" KKG had to cut him off, "Okay, stop. Let's go," she said as she stood up from her chair and collected her things to walk.

"Thank you," Aryan grinned.

"Stop grinning and walk," she rolled her eyes and he followed her out of cabin.

As KKG walked out, silent gossips sessions were stopped and everyone was engrossed in their as if, if they wouldn't India would slip into a black hole.

She stopped at Arnav Bhatt's cabin and ASR and Arnav Bhatt looked at Khushi.

She looked stern, "I'll be out for few hours, take care of the things in my absence. Got it?"

ASR and Arnav Bhatt both of them nodded their heads. ASR was smiling and Arnav Bhatt with a blank expression. And then she went out followed by Aryan.

Delhi

Purple Orchid Restaurant

They sat on a couch just beside each other. It's a private cabin away from the rest for privacy.

"Okay now that we're here, tell me what you wanted to talk and that too personally?" she asked smiling slightly.

"Let's order first, I'm damn hungry. What's say?" he smiled.

"Sure. Why not?" Khushi called out for a waiter.

"Yes, Madam?"

"Ahhh One Paneer," he paused and turned towards Khushi, "Whatever and how much ever I order, you'll only pay, right?," Khushi, at that tapped her forehead and nodded her head with no expression.

"Okay, then. So, Mr Waiter, I want one Paneer Biryani, one Paneer Manchurian, one Butter Chicken and one Kabab too, that's it. Oh, no, wait, one Chocolate Mousse in dessert, that's it," he completed his list smiling. Waiter smiled at him noting down his orders and Khushi just shook her head at always-on-hunt-for-food Aryan.

"Your order, Madam?"

"One Taco Pasta and One Green Peas Masala, please."

"Anything else, Madam?"

"No thank you, that's it." Waiter nodded at them and went away.

"Can we talk now?"

"No, let us eat first," he smiled sheepishly.

"ASR, you're wasting my time. What will we do until our order comes?" she glared at him.

"I thought I'm eligible to waste some of your time?" Aryan pouted.

Khushi shook her head. Looking at her action, "Am I not eligible you mean?"

"If you weren't, I wouldn't be sitting with you here in this damn Restaurant waiting for my food," she said irritatingly.

"I knew it."

"By the way, I saw Akash with some girl yesterday," Aryan said.

"Okay, so?" Khushi frowned at him.

"So, he's your cousin brother?"

"So?" she frowned again.

"Nothing, forget it." He pouted cutely.

"Let's take a selfie," He took his phone out. What would he do if his only Grumpy best friend is not interested in gossips as he was, it's his fault anyway, he knew it would be her reaction and yet opened his mouth in hope. Fu*k his hope, please.

Raizada Mansion

"Yes, Mrs Kapoor?"

"-----"

"Rishta for my granddaughter?"

"------"

"For Khushi?"

"------"

"I need some time, please."

"------"

"Thank You! Sure."

She sighed keeping the phone and sat on the sofa.

"If I leave my elder grand daughter to herself, I'm sure I'll become ghost and roam around her and still will not to see her as a married woman. I mean what's wrong with the guys she goes on date with? If not more, at least they're handsome, earn well, and respectful. God, I won't ever understand this grand daughter of mine. What do I do? Should I tell her about this rishta?" she's mumbling to herself. All the while sewing a new sweater sitting on sofa.

She remembered her previous encounter.

"I mean I know why's she like this, but why can't she understand not everything is same, and why can't she try to understand my understanding for her? Always sits with stubbornness on her shoulder," she pouts putting aside the sweater.

"My God, I don't think this rishta will work. And I'll need to collect deatils about this guy before talking with Khushi, that's if I can with her stubbornness sitting on her shoulder," She sighed.

"Please drop some human who can handle her stubbornness. Hopefully this Kapoor guy? What if he's not? I think I'll only have to do something, but how can I?" she pouts again at her thoughts which gave no results. She takes the sweater and started sewing again. However comes to one decision as always, background check on the guy.

"This is what left I've left with now. Sewing sweaters for my non-existing great granddaughter/grandson. This Akash and Anjali are also adamant on not marrying before Khushi. God, only I look cool and off the orthodox thoughts here being their grand mother."

She takes her phone and messages her personal detective about the Kapoor guy and starts sewing again.

Purple Orchid Restaurant

"What?" she was blank.

"How dare you?" she screamed after a minute of thought.

"Tubelight," he scoffed.

"How dare you?" she screamed again.

"Don't repeat the dialogues, babe," He sat on the couch carelessly.

"How-" Khushi was about to re-repeat. He threw a glare at her. His eyebrows firm.

Khushi sat on the couch beside him, her hazels screamed fury.

"Okay, babe. I'm really sorry. Forgive this poor child," he slide his hand around her shoulder taking her close to his chest.

Khushi resisted his approach and threw his hands away, quite harshly.

All the while, a pair of green eyes followed them, holding a murderous gaze.

"You could have told me this before, Aryan. Do you think I was that busy that I'd not care about you?" Khushi screamed. Thanks to private cabin, nobody was able to hear them.

They were done with their late lunch when Aryan started sharing his worries, now carelessly, tho, and needed help from ACP.

"I'm sorry, Khushi baby. I was really occupied and tensed and what not. It's just now that I began to be carefree. So gathered my thoughts and anyway now I'm telling na," he pouted.

"Pouting won't work right and you were and still are careless," she glared at him.

"Okay, I know, fine but do you think I should worry about this now? No. Don't waste your time on these talks and help me. I know you would be there on it, carefully?"

"Of course, stupid. I am already on it, not like you," she taunted showing her phone.

"And I promise I'll solve this for you," she quoted.

To be continued..,
