One year ago, Claire Hastings moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina with her parents, all the way from Sydney, Australia.

Six months ago, Claire and her father had been in a boating accident while they were out fishing. Their boat collided with another's and both were sent flying overboard. Claire almost drowned but ultimately survived. Her father however, wasn't so lucky.

Fast forward to six months later, when a hurricane strikes, causing more destruction than anyone anticipated.

When secrets are revealed, people's lives are put in danger and the democracy of the island is elevated. Claire and her friends are thrown into a world of chaos and she struggles to keep herself from going overboard again. Eventually, she finds that the one person who can keep her steady, is just as lost and broken as she is. Together they'll be able to pick up their broken pieces, and maybe just maybe, along the way they'll become each other's anchor.

Hi guys, so I had put this book on hold because I sort of lost interest, but I also got really busy with uni and work so I rarely had time to write. But since I've had a bit of free time lately, I've decided to unpublish and rewrite this because I don't really like what I'd written so far anymore. I won't be changing much, (except for my main oc's name which is now Claire Hastings instead of Lauren Murray), but I'll be editing it and definitely making sure it's good before I publish each chapter. (This is like the third time I've re-uploaded it lol)
