The early moonrise cast long shadows through my pink, window curtains. The gentle night breeze blew through as if there were a spirit behind it but I feared not. At least, I tried not to.

Instead, I grabbed  my black anorak and  put it on in front of the standing mirror facing my wooden dressing table.

Collins rushed to my room and alerted in a rush.
"It's dark already! Hurry up, Syl!"

I pulled against the mirror and stared at the blue circle around my bulgy eyes that were still bloodshot. At this moment, nothing else mattered. A part of me wishes today was another terrible nightmare but things weren't ending. Today seemed longer than yesterday, thank goodness, it's night. As walked out of our hatch-roofed building, I fixed the brass keys into the keyhole and locked the door closed. Looking back, Collins dropped the stuff body into the boot of the red car and banged it close before locking it as well.

"Come on, we don't have all night!" He hissed at me while I watched. I quickly jumped into the passenger's seat while he turned on the car engines.

It started with one kick, Collins and I set out out of the wicket gate into the empty streets. Hopefully, we won't get caught. I thought as my eagle eyes watched from corner to corner. The occasional barking of faraway dogs broke the silence of the night as we ventured into the woods.

"Where are we going, uncle?" My frightened voice started.

To bury his body

"But where exactly? Noah has a family... What if this parents finally finds out or if we get caught and exposed. Won't they come for us? Won't this be the worse mistake ever?"

"Just shut up, Syl! If you don't want to get caught." He rolled his eyes at me and focused as he drove into the dusky fog. It took about 20 minutes drives before he stopped. Getting off the car, Collins handed me a spade.

I faced his direction and wallowed hard with surprise on my face. Truth us, I never expected tjis. Walking closer, Collins walked to a distance and  stopped before throwing an heavy hit against the earth with a pickaxe.

The adze stricked to the ground again as he started digging.

"And what are you still doing there?!"

Startled, I couldn't give a reply. Collins just rolled his eyes at me and continued digging. With this, I walked closer, shoving the spade into the cold earth and packing the sand aside. With the cars headlight out, we were able to see what we were digging, clear enough.

After doing this for about 30 minutes, the sweat beads lingering down my skin dropped into my ear. I stopped and stood up to wipe it off, against my tired shoulders.

My spine cracked to the reaction as I stood erectly.

"Isn't this enough already?" I asked my uncle but he didn't stop.

He kept in digging and digging deep as if it was trying to carve out a well.

"If it's not deep enough, we'd get caught probably tomorrow." He continued without hesitation.

I toiled over the soil cover and over till I could feel the weakness in my arms. The black loamy soil gave a woody, scent but the coldness of the night blew through.

After a while, Collins dropped his pickaxe and went to drag the body out if the car. I gave an helping hand too and we finally dumped it into the hole. It was about 2 meters deep.

Just then, Collins put on plastic gloves and unwrapped the frozen body. I felt a sudden coldness on my palms and realized it was his bloodstains.

"Shitshitshitshit!”

I scrambled backward, trying my best not to scream out loud as my eyes locked into the lifeless stare of Noah's dead body before me. I couldn't help but to feel guilty. Although, he smiled at ne before dying, Noah died a terrible death. My shaking feet stepped away as I gently cupped my mouth to silence the terrific whimpers. Trembling, mustering everything I had inside to control my sobbing while I said to myself.
'I can’t be heard. I must not be heard. What if someone is watching? What if?!'

Collins just acted as if I wasn't there. And of course, I was my first time of seeing a dead body. I walked towards the red vehicle and watched.

Collins then brought out a pack of a chemical I couldn't recognize. It looked white and crystal shapped, like tiny pearls. He poured it on his body, vividly all over Noah's body and wrapped it up with the leather. Looking back at the pack, I saw Sodium hydroxide.

After this, Collins climbed up and started covering up the body. It took less than two minutes, and the spot went flat again. Collins scattered some tried leaves so that nobody would unfold. He made sure every trace of Noah got buried along with him, before leaving.

Collins and I got into the car. He started it and revised back a little, while the dried branches gave a scratch on the body of the red car. As if he didn't care, the neon red, tail light of the vehicle brightens as he too a swerve into the darkness. Then, Collins steered the car around and drove out of the woods.

It was a silent drive untill we got home.
A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I unlocked the front door.  We stepped in and I couldn't help my to find my wobbly legs climbing upstairs into my room. Collins rushed to me right away and slapped my door open.

"Get up Syl! We've got a lot of work to do!"

"What?! I raised my eyes to his gaze. We have go wash everything he might have touched."

"But I've cleaned up the leaving room. Everything is clean."

"Good, join me then! We have to wash Ben's car and all the tools we used against tomorrow.

"Why don't we do that tomorrow." I whined.

"Because we're burying today along with him! Nobody knows tomorrow! And if anyone asks, today never happened, okay?!" He gave a death stare directly into my eyes and I know what happens whenever he flowers at me like this. Without second thoughts, I pulled up my lazy bones and followed him downstairs.

I had to get the buckets, soap and brush and started washing the vehicle. Opening the boot, I noticed the back was soaked with bloodstains, I had to scrub with all my strength even through there was none left in me.

Burshing the tyres and wiping the side windows, I made sure everything was perfectly done. After cleaning, Collins asked me to clean and rearrange the chairs and carpet. It took hours until my stack cried for help. I rushed to the toilet to regurgitate the content in my stomach. The puke poured out of my throat with strong force, making me weak than before. My trembling fingers sprinkled water into my face as I watched my reflection on the mirror.

Unable to control my legs from shaking,
I pressed myself against the wall, bring the silhouetted by the lights hanging on the four corners of my room. I streched back up to the wall and turned off the light, crawling to reach for my bed without bothering about the bloodthirsty demon like Collins, hiding in the darkness. Unlike when I was a younger, I couldn't sleep without the lights on. And today, I couldn't sleep with the light off either.

I opened my sleepless eyes in the darkness, thinking of what would happen if this secret gets exposed. How Noah's parents would feel about all of these, how Noah is. How long would I be able to live with all of these. I felt bittered as water began to collect from the bottom lid if my eyes. I sniffled quietly in the dreariness, my red eyes shined against.
Without holding it back, I let the tears flowed down through the corners of my eyes.
'Noah lived me. He wanted to protect me. I killed him. How would I ever leave he ere now...' I couldn't help but to blame myself for today. With the hope that tomorrow would be better, I cried myself to sleep.

The sun illuminated through the windows and from my closed eyes, I could feel it's harshness. I opened my eyes to the brightness of the day, and just then, I realized that it was already morning.

'Waaahhhh! Waaaaahhhhh! Waaaaaaahhhh!!!'

Instead of waking to the alarm clock, I woke up at the sound of police siren.
