Silver couldn't believe it. After everything she had done to them, she was accepted by the birds of Bird Island. She had new friends, a family that loved her, and she was hailed as a hero for saving the eggs from the very pigs who raised her.
Silver woke up that morning thinking about how lucky she was. She didn't have her own room yet, so she spent the night in Red's room. He welcomed her into his home and treated her like his own. And Silver couldn't be happier.
Red woke up to something shaking his wing. Silver was waking him up. He wasn't surprised, he promised her they'd spend the whole day together.
"Good morning, Daddy," Silver said, smiling. Red smiled back. Shortly before he adopted her, Silver started calling him "daddy."
"You excited about today?" Red asked.
"You bet I'm excited!" Silver replied. "What are we going to do?"
"We're gonna have a lot of fun," Red told her. "We're gonna go hiking, I'll buy you some furniture for your new bedroom, we'll get ice cream..."
Red and Silver got out of bed and headed for the kitchen. Red was going to make her breakfast, and it would be the best flockin' breakfast she ever ate.

"Did you enjoy your breakfast?" Red asked. He made her a fruit salad with roasted hazelnuts.
"It was delicious," Silver replied. "But I think you might have burned the hazelnuts."
"Sorry about that," he said. "Are you ready?"
Silver nodded. "This is going to be fun!"
"Just be careful," Red warned. "I don't want you to hurt yourself."
"Daddy, I broke one wing," she reminded him. "I'm not going to break the other."
"I know, but... I love you, Silver."
Silver smiled. "I love you too. Now let's go!"

"Why did you want us to climb a mountain?" Red asked.
"You'll see," Silver replied.
Bird Island was full of tall mountains, and Silver knew that climbing one would be the perfect chance for her to get closer to Red. She showed him the view and he was left in awe.
“This is why I love flying," she explained. “I get to see everything on the island. But you know something?"
“What?"
“Usually, I prefer to be on the ground," she admitted. “All my friends are down there and I want to be with them. And you."
Red smiled. “I love you, kiddo."
“I love you too, Daddy."
“Now let's get back to the village," he said, picking her up and placing her on his shoulders. “My calves are killing me."

Sorry this was short... and that it took forever to write. I've kinda been obsessing a little too much over a certain DreamWorks movie.
