Anish's Pov

Oh What a sweet voice. Ankita Ji you stole my heart by uttering those two words, "Ghani Khamma!"(a way to greet in Rajasthani)  We all had our dinner and retired to our rooms. But why does she always wears white dress? Why doesn't she wears bangles like other ladies of Rajasthan. Well is she alright? Amit soon came to me and said, "What are you thinking brother?" I shared everything with Amit. He said, "May be she loves to wear white and may be she has an allergy of bangles. There is nothing to think so much." Jazz and Harry came and said, "What's the matter Anish?" Amit narrated my condition to them. Jazz said, "Well I think may be she is a widow, as I remember when I was very small I lost my father, and when father died my Mummy had to wear white dress and they snatched all the bangles from her as well. After a month Mom left wearing white and dressed normally and wore only 2 bangles." Jazz's eyes filled up with tears, we consoled him. To be clear we boys also cry, actually we are a way weaker than girls as girls can cry whenever they want in front of everybody but we can't do that, but we also have a heart and when the pain is unbearable we want to be alone and cry our heart out unlike girls who cry on the spot.

Anisha's Pov

Ankita laid down on the floor though I wanted her to sleep on the bed with me as there was enough space in the bed for two people but she said, "Vidhawaiyen bistar mei nhi soti h, wey zameen pe soti h!" (Widows never sleep on beds, they sleep on the floor.) I felt bad for her, so I took my pillow and laid down on the other side of the floor. She got up and said, "Arre aap pagal ho kya?" (Are you mad?) I said, "Toh chalo mere sath leto bistar pe!" (Then come and lie down on the bed with me!) She said, "Theek hai!" (Okay!) We laid down on the bed. Suddenly we heard a noise, Ankita jumped off the bed and laid down on the floor. She said, "Agar dadisa ne mujhe dekh lia bistar pe toh mujhe mar dalegi!" (If Grand Mother sees that I'm on the bed she will kill me.) I said, "Theek hai! Aapki marzi" (Okay! As you wish!) I was tired so I slept within no time. After few hours I opened my eyes to have water, I felt that someone entered our room. I silently lifted my head for a better view, though it was too dark to see anything clearly. But I managed to find my hand purse which was on the table next to the bed. I took out my pocket knife, from there silently. I felt the person jumped on Ankita, she was about to scream but may be the person closed her mouth, I did not react, slowly managed to get down off the bed and went towards the switches. I switched on the light and saw the middle aged man there who came to pick us up. The man got up with a pale face, he tried run but I managed to injure his leg with my pocket knife. He fell down while moving, I caught him tightly. Ankita was in immense fear, She was shaking, but still she stood up and started crying. I shouted at the top of my voice and said, "Dadiji jaldi aaiye ek aadmi humare kamre mei ghus aya hai, woh Ankita ke sath zabardassti kar rha tha!" (Grand Mother please come here quick, some one has come to our room, he was trying to rape Ankita!) Everyone woke up and came running, towards our room. Amar Uncle was the first person to enter, he got shocked to see this and said, "Lalaji??" Anish, Harry, Amit, Jassi and Bhuvi Bhaiya entered our room and caught hold of Lalaji, he punched Harry to which kicked him hard, he fell down and we all started beating him. Suddenly Mom, Dad, Shailaja Aunty and Dadiji entered to the room. Mom rushed towards Ankita who was shaking of fear, she made her sit down on the bed, and gave her a glass of water. Dad came to us and stopped us from beating him further. Dad picked up Lalaji and hold him tightly while Dadiji went near him and said, "Aapki je majal ki aap mhari bindni par zabardassti karo ho?" (How dare you, attempt to rape my daughter in law?) Lalaji said, "Woh ek vidhwa hai aur issmei kuch bhi galat nhi hai, ki uska balatkar ho jaye!" ( She is a widow and there is crime to rape a widow!) Dadiji gave him a tight slap and said, "Thara faisla kal Panchayat mei hovego!" (Your decision will be made by the village council tomorrow!) We caught him and dragged him towards the hall and tied him with heavy ropes so that he can't flee away. I went upstairs to Ankita's room while the boys stayed back at hall to keep a vigilance on Lalaji. Mom, Dad and Amar Uncle were consoling Ankita while Dadiji and Shailaja Aunty were scolding her, for not being careful. I entered the room and said, "Dadiji ismei Ankita ki koi galti nhi h woh Lalaji boht dheere dheere kamre mei aya tha, woh toh mei buss pani pine ke liye uth rhi thi so meine ussko dekh kar ye sab kia!" (Ankita has no fault in this Grand Mother, Lalaji came silently, it was impossible to notice. I was about to get up and have water so I noticed a tall figure entering so I did all these!) Dadiji and Shailaja Aunty left in disgust. Amar Uncle left following Shailaja Aunty and Dadiji. I sat beside Ankita and consoled her and Mom Dad left for their room. Ankita cried her heart out while hugging me. She cried all night till it was 5 A.M. in the morning. Dadiji came to our room and said, "Iss karamjali ko lekr niche aao Anisha Beta!" (Anisha bring her downstairs and the word Karamjali is a commonly used abuse for widows especially.) I wiped off her tears and came downstairs with her. I saw the Village Council people glaring at Ankita. I hold her firmly and said, "Mei hoon na tumhare sath!" (I'm with you!)

I know this story is revolving different direction but this story is also about true love! Will true love win or the Village Council? What do you think will Ankita get proper justice? Will Anish and Anisha be able to save Ankita from the people of the village?  Will it be a heartbreak for Anish? Well we will know this in the upcoming chapters.
