Oh no. I'm gonna possibly get a lot of backlash for this but...

Eevee doesn't need to be in every Pokémon story. Unless its a Let's Go Eevee fanfic or a Pokémon Yellow one, you probably wouldn't be able to get Eevee as a starter anyway, so please, stop. They're also supposed to be somewhat rare, so it should be a lot harder to find one than what I see in some fics. If you're giving your main character an Eevee egg, it should probably take a while to hatch, because in the games, it takes 8,960 steps to hatch one. That's a lot. So yeah, don't make your Eevee hatch almost instantly unless it had been cared for by someone else for a while.

Also why does everyone love Umbreon and Glaceon? Why doesn't anybody like Leafeon or Flareon? If you honestly really need an Eevee in your Trainer Journey Pokéfic, could you possibly shake it up and do a less popular evolution like those two?
