Hiccup POV

It was a peaceful day. Toothless and I were going for a morning flight, just to get relaxed before a whole day of being chief. The sun was shining, the waves were lapping against the sea stacks, Terrible Terrors were singing on the rooftops, and a man in strange clothes was falling from the sky.

Wait, WHAT?

Sure enough, when I shook my head, the falling guy was still there, plummeting towards the ocean that lay below, with a small chance of hitting the sea stacks and dying painfully. And I've had experience of hitting the ground, my fall only cushioned by a dragon, but I know how painful it is. Ouch.

The boy kept on falling. He didn't have anything to cushion him, so Toothless and I acted on instinct and shot down towards him from our high point in the sky. The boy was only a few meters from hitting the sea, and we could make it in time...I think.

We swooped down, ready to catch him, and we did. He landed behind me on Toothless's tail. It was a close call, though. Glad to have a Night Fury with me for the rest of my life.

We were flying back to Berk to set him down when the rest of the riders flew up to us. All of them asked questions, except for Snotlout, who was getting thrown around by Hookfang.

   "What did you do?"

   "What happened?"

   "Is it dead?"

I held my hands up to ease the gang and to quiet them down.

"Guys, calm down. I found him falling from the sky." They all looked at me blankly. "Okay, maybe not the best way to say that. But he was falling from the sky, above the ocean, and I caught him before he hit the water."

"What's he wearing?" asked Fishlegs as he examined the mysterious boy's outfit. An orange short sleeved tunic and strange yet sturdy ripped blue pants with the label "Levi's," on it. Who's Levi? And more importantly, who is this fall out boy? (A/N: HAHAHAHA!! Terrible way of putting it, BUT STILL!!)

Ruffnut, however, was drooling at the sight of him. "Ew," scowled Tuffnut. "I thought you were attracted to Eret, son of Eret," he exaggerated in disgust.

"Well, I was," stretched Ruffnut, "but then I saw him." She pointed to the guy on Toothless's back, so started to stir. "Let's get back to dry land before he wakes up," suggested Astrid.

"PLEASE!!" yelled Snotlout, who was now being slightly burnt. He jumped into the ocean, resurfaced, and paddled as hard as he could before Hookfang swooped down and snatched Snotlout up, swallowed him whole, then proceeded to fly to Berk. I looked at Astrid for an explanation. "Snotlout gave Hookfang one less fish this morning," she said while snickering, "and with Hookfang, you don't skip on the cod."

We flew back to Berk and landed on the beach when the man woke up. He slipped off Toothless's back, grinning, but when he saw us, he faltered. He studied us, and we examined him. Finally, he looked at Hoogfang, who was regurgitating Snotlout, who screamed and ran off, sopping wet. That probably and most likely didn't help us, as the man pulled out a golden stick, then took off part of it. It sprung open and out popped a golden sword, out of the blue. He made an angry noise that sounded like, "Ouh rre oo?" I just decided to introduce ourselves, but when I met his gaze, I cringed. He had one of those glares that made you flinch, and that's what the gang did. Even Toothless. His voice was deep and dangerous, like he could pounce at any second. I believed it, seeing as he made Toothless back down. I put my left hand on Toothless, telling him to be ready, and all the other riders copied me. I put my right hand near my Inferno and looked at the man's eyes, though immediately looked at the spot above his eyes, as his glare intestified when he saw our dragons tense and get in a battle stance. "I'm Hiccup," I said slowly, "and this is Astrid, Fishlegs, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut, and the guy that just ran off was Snotlout. These are our dragons, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Barf, Belch, and Hookfang. Who are you?" But when I finished, he had a confused look on his face. He started to lower his sword, but only slightly. He made another noise, but this time, it sounded like, "Wtt linguige rr oo speeckinn?" I decided not to answer, because he was just speaking gibberish. Then Hookfang, who was obviously angry and confused that he couldn't do anything, thinking he was so high and mighty, blasted fire threateningly at the feet of the boy. The riders took their hands off their dragons in surprise, and the dragons, thinking it was a sign, did the same and copied Hookfang's example. Their target stood his ground, but yelled, "Eyy! Wtre oo doen?" He then raised his sword and charged. Astrid took that as a sign of hostility and threw he axe. I yelled out, but as it was about to skewer him, he caught it, then sent it right back. The handle hit Astrid in the head and she was knocked out. I noticed how careful he was with her, but there was no time to think, since the twins rushed in with their spears. They slashed and jabbed, only to be thrown back, far, far away, into the water, where they resurfaced and cheered, screaming about how awesome and scary that was. I looked back to the man, who was getting up, since he was pushed down by the twins. Fishlegs was hiding, and I put my hands up in surrender. He seemed to falter, looking at my sign of truce. Sighing in defeat, he put the small piece of gold he took off from the rest of the gold on the tip of his bronze sword. With a shink noise, it shrunk back into a small stick of gold.

Then, suddenly, Stormfly fired at him for hurting her rider. I tried to stop her, but the blast was unexpected, and in a blinding flash of light, it shot towards the man, who brought his arms up. I closed and shielded my eyes, not wanting to see what happened. I heard a scream, and I opened my eyes, but the fire kept on going.

Fishlegs ran out of his hiding spot, which didn't hide him very well, and pointed in horror. The dragons, except Toothless, took it the wrong way and thought it was their cue to shoot fire at the boy too. When they stopped for breath, before they started torching him again, I saw something unbelievable.
