The pink troll looked a bit surprised but still happy. She blushed slightly as she saw his sweet smile.
"Wait, are you not emberassed?"

The blue-gray troll raised an eyebrow.
"Why would I be? I wasn't able to fight and you saved me."

The pink troll were chocked. Why was he so sweet??? She had never met a man who were kind.
"But.. I'm a girl."

"And?"

Poppy couldn't help but gaping while looking at him in chock.

"Ummm... did I say something wrong? I-in that case I am so sorry!"
The blue-grayish troll said as he looked a bit nervous.

"I- no. Just- I'm a GIRL. You are being kind to a girl!"

"Oh... you mean that boys usually are mean and disrespectful to girls for no good reason, and therefore you think I will be too?"
He looked a bit sad as he spoke.

"I.... um.."
She felt a bit bad over what she said. He had only thanked her for helping him, and she came up with assumptions against his kindness..

"It's okay.. I understand. I wouldn't have trusted a boy either if I were a girl. To be honest, I don't really trust boys even if I'm a boy too."

Poppy looked at the sweet troll.
"I'm sorry. I'm just used to um.. other things, as you say...... but let's forget that. I'm Poppy. Who are you?"
She smiled sweetly.

Branch looked at her sweet smile and felt warmer inside.
"I-I'm Branch"

"Branch?"
She almost giggled.
What a weird yet sweet name.

"Ehe, yeah. I know, it's a weird name"
He rubbed The back of his head as he spoke.

"Well yes. But it is also a nice name."
Poppy replied with a smile.

"You think? Huh...Thank you"
Branch smiled back.

"NEEEEEEIIIIIIGH"
The sound echoed towards The two trolls.

Branch's ears pinned forward To hear The sound.

"Oh"
The pink troll turned around and whisteled loudly at the direction the sound came from.

Branch raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Poppy looked at him.
"Sorry had to answere them so they know I'm fine, and know where I am." She excused.

"Your horses?"

"Oh yeah girls can have horses just like boys. Surprise."
She halfheartedly replied.

"O-ofcourse! I didn't mean it in that way. Just, how did you know it was them?"

"I recognise their 'neighs', that's all"

Eight hooves hit the ground with thuds that made the sand fly around their swaying manes and majestic bodies.

They slowed down to trott, and stopped in front of Poppy with a welcoming grunt.

"Hey guys" Poppy giggled and petted them.

The gray horse looked up at Branch and stroke back its ears.

"Calmmm Storm. He's a friend. See."
Poppy walked up to Branch and stood beside him to show the horses that he was nice.
Branch smiled slightly.

The horses on the other hand looked super confused. They looked at eachother and back at the trolls and tilted their heads.
'''What's this now? A boy that their troll is ok with??? Huh. That is kinda sus. But ye right, if he does anything bad we'll just kick him-'''

The horses slowly approached and Poppy took Branch's hand and lifted it forward to let them sniff it.
Branch close his eyes and took a deep breath to calm down so the horses could feel that he was calm, and let them know he weren't a threat.

Blossom sniffed the troll's hand and decided to scratch her head against his hand and chest.

Branch, relieved that the horse seemed to like him, giggled and scratched her head in return.

Poppy gaped slightly.
"Huh, this is the first time she has done that to someone else than me or my sister. She must like you" Poppy said.

"Or she just sees me as a scratcher" Branch chuckled.

Poppy giggled slightly.

Storm seemed to still be very unsure about the troll and softly nibbled Poppy's arm and shook his head.

"I know Storm, we are going home. Hey Branch, nice meeting you again but the horses wanna go home. Me too actually, the sun is setting."

Branch and Blossom looked up.
The white horse walked up to Poppy and Branch nodded.

"Thanks again for the help."

Poppy jumped up on Storm's back and smiled at the troll.
"No probs. Bye!"
Poppy rode away into the sunset, out in the glittery sand.

Branch stood and smiled to himself a little while, and then headed into the village to go home.
