Laura's POV

Today was the "adventure." We decided to take Aphmau and take her to the forest where all the animals would care for her. We knew that O'khasic would come soon and we needed to protect her.

Third POV

Aphmau was really excited that she ate all her waffles. Her mother looked really sad for some reason.

It was time...

Aphmau and her mother walked into the woods. It was beautiful. The way the sun shone through the trees comforted her. When the branches occasionally brushed against her arms it tickled. Or when she heard a snake hiss, her mother squeezed her hand gently and gave her a sad smile.

"Mommy? Where are we going?" Little Aphmau asked. Laura was sobbing really hard. Aphmau wanted to comfort her mother. Laura let go of aphmau's hand and said "Aphmau I love you and this is for your own good, you will always be my baby"

Then, Laura hesitantly let go of her daughters hand and light blinded Aphmau. When she opened her eyes her mother was gone.

Aphmau started to cry. "M-momma? Where momma?" No answer. The only sound she heard were the birds chirping sadly and the cold wind against her cheeks.

Then, she realized that she was alone and Laura was not coming back.

She never felt so alone in her life.
