Once all the competitors have submitted their entries, the judges will assess the submissions based on the following rubric.

1. Execution - whether your submission was received by the deadline and meets the criteria to be eligible (i.e., if it meets any word count limits and whether it accurately captures the topic presented by the Admins and is within the parameters of the challenge).:

2. Appearance - is it visually appealing? (i.e., whether your story has been proofread and contains minimal to no grammatical errors, and contains proper punctuation).

3. Taste - does your submission make us want to read more? Is there an appropriate balance of description (i.e., not too much purple prose) and narrative? Does it evoke a strong emotion for the judges?

The judges will choose which submission they felt addressed the theme better and whoever receives the most votes will win the War of Writers match. If there is a tie, another match will be held at a later date to determine the victor.
