"Ow! Would you stop kicking me already! I ate three bacon burgers and cotton candy! What more do you want from me?!"

"It's your fault for passing on your obsession with those foods with her."

"Liz, instead of blaming me how about you lecture your niece about kicking her precious mother who will bring her into this world!"

"Pregnant women are kicked by their children, it's normal. Plus it's their way of speaking to us, Cherry." An amused pregnant Liz Forbes explains.

"She's not speaking to me though! She's using me to get free food! I'm giving birth to a diabolical child!" Cheria complains then looks down at her stomach. "How can you do this to your own mother?!"

Liz sighs and gently placed her hand on the side of her best friend's stomach.

"Tell me the truth. Don't kick if you're in this for the food. Kick if showing love towards your mom."

After a few seconds, she kicks. Liz smirks at Cheria who looks ready to cry.

"See? She loves you more than food."

"Really? I'm sorry that I doubted you my Angelfish." Cheria sniffles and wipes her eyes.

"Want to come over for dinner tonight? We're having ribs." Liz asks and frowns seeing the annoyance written all over Cheria's face. "What's wrong?"

"...She kicked as soon as she heard ribs." Liz sighs and facepalms. "I knew it! You are in it for the food!

"Well then you have to take responsibility for her being like that. Besides you're one to talk. That one time I heard Grayson screaming and saw him being chased by your cat then I found you munching on your burger instead of you calling your cat off."

Cheria gasps and covers her stomach. "Don't expose my secrets to my child! My burger would have gotten cold if tried to help him! There was no microwave around and I was hungry... Besides, it was his fault for calling my cat fat and lazy."

"Was he wrong though?" Liz asks, trying not to laugh. "Cats do nothing but eat and sleep."

"Not my Berry! He contributes! Whenever I can't find something, he finds it for me! When I can't sleep, he cuddles with me! And he kills whatever bugs get into my house!" Cheria pouts defending her cat. She then looks down at her stomach. "Don't listen to her or whatever your dad will tell you. You're going to be a cat lover just like me!" She giggles when she feels another kick. "My Ariel."

Almost eighteen years later...

"...If this doesn't wake you up then I don't know what will."

Ariel is woken up from her sleep and immediately grabs the burger from her favorite vampire's hand, taking a bite out of it.

"Wow, it actually worked."

"Morning, Kitty Kay. Thanks for breakfast!"

"You're truly something else." Katherine says, eating a piece of bacon.

"I wouldn't be me if I didn't love burgers." Ariel says after swallowing. "Now why did you wake me up?"

"Damon is still blowing up your phone. You should thank the burger because I almost threw your phone out." Katherine informs her handing her the cell.

"Thank you both you gorgeous beings." Ariel replies, making Katherine playfully roll her eyes.

"You seriously need to get a boyfriend before you end up marrying burgers instead." Katherine teases.

"What's wrong with that? At least Caroline will stop trying to set me up with guys which she has been doing since freshman year!" Ariel complains.

"I can recommend you some guys instead. Hmm.... A very gorgeous vampire who will give you the day and night of your life every time. Uh, a hot warlock who will be your simp all day. Or a sexy demon that you can never take your eyes off of? " Katherine continues teasing her and laughs when Ariel hits her with a pillow.

"You're worse than my sister." Ariel pouts.

"...Klaus called... Is everything good with him?" Katherine nervously asks.

"You're such a worrywart. I'm fine. You're fine. You're not in trouble for killing his hybrids, I made sure of it. He knows he deserved it after everything he did to you. We already had this conversation before."

"I know but... If you're going to keep hanging around Klaus then please be careful." Katherine pleads, pulling her favorite person into a hug.

"Jeez, what am I going to do with you? Always so protective." Ariel pats Katherine's back while holding her burger in the other hand. "I promise to be careful."

Katherine sighs and lets Ariel go.

"...It's your last day in New York before you go back to that horrible place you call a town, Mystic Falls. Finish your breakfast, get ready so that we can party today and party tonight! Chop-chop!" Katherine claps her hands before getting up from the bed and leaving the room.

"You're lucky that I love you otherwise I would have thrown this burger at you!" Ariel yells.

"Love you too! And no you wouldn't! You were never able to part with your burgers unless you were eating them!" Katherine yells back.

The best friends are sitting on a bench in a park watching the scenery, Ariel is enjoying her cotton candy while Katherine enjoys her milkshake.

"Happy? I swear you get so lazy after shopping." Katherine teases.

"Shut up." Ariel takes a bite of her cotton candy. "Thanks for letting me come visit you. I really needed this break."

"Hey, you're welcomed to vacation with me anytime. You're the only one that I actually like." Katherine says with a smirk, patting Ariel's hand. "Hey, what are you going to do about your stud when you go back home?"

"He's not my stud, he's an old stud. I'll likely keep ignoring him." Ariel mutters, pulling at her necklace.

"He's called you like what, fifty times? You've been here for three weeks and you haven't caved yet. It must be driving him crazy." Katherine chuckles and lightly pinches her cheek. "You're learning my evil ways, I'm so proud of you!"

"That's part of the reason why I had to get away from there. He went behind my back and compelled Jeremy to leave. He knew how important Jeremy is to me and he still did it anyway. All for Elena once again." Ariel states while rolling her eyes. "The supernatural drama was just becoming too much."

"...Are you sure he's still interested in her?"

"Of course he is... Wait, why are you asking?" Asking her favorite vampire with a confused look.

Katherine shrugs. "Caroline has been noticing something is different about your undecided bestie."

"Since when are you talking with my sister? You guys hate each other!" Ariel asks, surprised by the revelation.

"We can tolerate each other because of you. But I'm still the better vampire." Katherine replies, poking the younger one's forehead. "And nothing has been confirmed yet but I'm going to let her tell you... I still don't get what is so special about Elena. I'm the much more cuter one." She says, a frown on her face.

"Don't know. Almost everyone makes everything about her." Ariel mutters.

Katherine sighs. "Look if you need her taken care of, just let me know. I'll shank her with my heel. I'm willing to sacrifice my shoe for the greater good."

"Liar! You love your shoes more than life itself!" Ariel laughs.

So I made a few changes to the beginning. We got a flashback of Ariel's mom. And yes I know that I changed her name. What do you think about her?

Just had to make the first chapter fluff before the drama begins so enjoy it!

I took the Morningstar family out because I'm undecided if I want to keep them as part of the rewrite. So I replaced them with Katherine who is going to play a much bigger role this time!
