He again kept his chin on her shoulder. She too kept her head on his chest for support. Both closed their eyes. Words weren't required at the moment what they needed was each other presence. Both sank into the moment building their dreams of togetherness.

3 more days passed and finally, today was the Roka. Only family members were involved in this function. Ayush, Ratna, Anjali, Shyam, Lavanya and also the soon to be a groom Arnav was at Gupta House. Since the engagement was near so everyone was busy in the preparations. Where to everyone time seemed to be less as the auspicious day was near the two lovebirds were finding it hard to pass their time. The wait before togetherness seemed to be unbearable. Though the engagement date was fixed marriage date was yet to be finalised.

It was Sunday Arnav and Khushi was at her flat they had just returned from N.G.O.. It was evening now. They had been doing shopping all day and had selected their engagement ring also. Arnav was in a good mood and was teasing Khushi. They were packing things that were left so that it could be taken to Gupta house. She would vacate the house just after the engagement which was the day after tomorrow.

His phone rang it was from Ratna. Yes Maa

" Chotte we have two dates for the marriage one is on 20 Dec and other is on 12 Dec. So you and Khushi decide which date is better," she said.

"Maa 14th Feb isn't available as the marriage date?" he asked. Khushi looks at him with surprise as soon as he spoke the sentence.

"Chotte is it really you? It is November if you don't remember, not January. You will be able to wait for this much time" she asked amused.

"Yeah maa (he took a pause)I can wait you ask Pandit Ji (Priest) if this date is available," he says.

"Alright I will tell you after sometime after confirming," she said he kept the call.

"Yeah of course. We used to talk about it a lot."

Yup, that is true. I was so obsessed with this date. Like our wedding means The valentine's day. But still love I never knew you have such a sharp memory.

It was like he was speaking to himself. Finding no response from her he looks at her side. She was staring at him. Khushi he said and clicked his fingers in front of her eyes.

Are you alright he asked concerned? I think I should drop you at Gupta house along with these boxes.

No, I am more than fine. I will stay here you just drop them at home. She said.

He nods his head in approval and starts to keep the packed boxes in his car. She helps him in it. The work was done.

Fine, then I will leave he said she nods her head. He comes closer and gives a peck on her forehead. Take care sweetheart. You too love she says. He side hugs her and finally sits in his car to leave. She bids him bye.

Arnav goes to Gupta house and keeps her stuff there and starts for home. He was happy but sad too. Happy that he fulfilled her wish and sad that now he will have to wait for a year. But isn't her smile worth watching? He can wait for this much for her.

He parked his car and went inside RM. Everyone was sitting in the hall discussing something. He too goes there to know what was going on.

Hey everyone what are we discussing he said casually sitting next to his mother on the sofa.

I am so much happy Chote. Here have this( Ratna extends a piece of sweet towards his mouth)

He eats it. Thank you, Maa but what makes you so happy and this sweet was for?

It is because your wedding date is fixed that is why.

Then why you kept this date. Maa actually Khushi wished that our marriage should be on this day and I want to fulfil this wish of her.

What but she only told me to keep the date as 20 Dec. Didn't you people decide it together Ratna said confused.

She told you this? when and where? He asked perplexed.

She called me half an hour ago and told me to finalise the wedding date as 20 Dec Ratna replied.

What? He said confused.

Why would she call them and say this? Wasn't she happy with this date he had asked her? Oh! but she never replied she was preoccupied with her own thoughts. Lord! He never thought it. How could he take so much time to realise this simple thing? She is one of the most selfless people in this world she had always kept her wishes aside and thought of other's happiness first. She very well knew it will be typically so tough for him to wait for a year. Damn! This girl was mad. Totally extraordinary and just his. He smiled.

Arnav where are you lost? Anjali asked.

Di I she.. Umm(he takes out his car keys.) I need to go. He said.

Where? You arrived just a few minutes ago asked Ratna and Anjali in unison.

Khushi's flat he said.

Chote thora to sabar kar le. Khushi ji ke sath hi to that pura din anjali teased.(Chote, have little patience. You were with Khushi Ji for the entire day.)

Sabar ni hoga meri pyari di(Don't have so much patience my sweet di) with he pulled her cheeks lightly.

Arnav you should go tomorrow his dad spoke.

Ratna and Anjali were quiet they knew he won't say a word in front of Ayush so Arnav isn't going now.

Dad I... I ... he wanted to go but going against his father even for such little things was something he never did. "I will go tomorrow," he said little disappointed.

Oho! Ratna your son is too much obedient sometimes. Arnav, only your Mom and sister can pull your leg can't I? Go son but try to be back soon. Ayush said with a smile.

Really Dad!! Arnav was taken by a complete surprise.

Arnav was excited he came forward and thought to hug his father but such affection gestures were much more limited to his sister and his mother. He really didn't remember the last time he hugged his dad.

He thought to skip the idea. Umm, Thank you Dad he said

Just thank you Chote you won't hug your Dad as you do to your Maa and Anjali Ayush asked opening his Arms.

Arnav hugged his dad with joy it was a beautiful moment for hin such affection gestures were so rare from his dad's side. Dad Thank you so much. Ayush pats his back. That's like my son. Now go fast.

Yup bye Maa he kissed her cheek.

Bye, they all said but someone was too eager to meet Khushi and so was already out of the mansion.
