Story excerpt:

Normally a walk through the woods was a very casual experience for May, but she just couldn't shake the feeling that she was being followed. And the fact that it was actually a possible scenario didn't help.

She was lost in the woods near rival guild's territory. For all she knew, she could have been walking in a different guild's territory for hours.

She heard a rustling in the bushes behind her. "Who's there?" She demanded.

Before she could even think, a young boy with light green hair set course towards her with a flying jump kick, the hood of his black cape falling off as he flew.

The kunai knifes in each of his hands told her that he was, in fact, a ninja. And a pretty good one at that as he'd been following her for almost a day without her finding him. He'd purposely alerted her of his position by moving the bush instead of just launching a surprise attack, she realized. No ninja who'd concealed themselves from her for almost a day would make such a careless mistake.

She'd better keep her guard up, she thought as she barely dodged his attack. He was dangerous, and he was just toying with her.

Shutting out all thoughts but those of battle, she brought out her own shurikens.

If it's a fight he wants, it's a fight he'll get!
