Slaughter is on hiatus!

There won't be any new chapters soon I'm afraid, as I'll be taking a break from writing it to gather some motivation and work on other projects (though it should be up and running again later into the year - who knows with me). Furthermore, a lot of things need fixing, like;

- Rewriting the first chapter AGAIN to make it less forced and awkward (I've got a ton of ideas).
- Making Xander and Ariel's relationship more intimate and prolonged so you're more sad when he dies.
- Generally fixing plot holes.
- Merging some chapters (maybe)
- Making Ariel a more central character.
- Making the dialogue and character interactions less robotic and flat.
- Cutting down on some of the violence. (So when scenes are more violent, it has more of an impact)
- Maybe writing some more bonus chapters so future plot points make more sense. (Aka, what the hell Effie and Alastair doing when the tavern was on fire, some edgy Avianna stuff, flashbacks to Echo and Ariel, etc)
- Rewriting chap 11 a lil bit to include some key information about Ariel's past.

Thank you to you guys who are showing support to slaughter! It really is my magnum opus and I'm so happy that I've managed to write so much of it already. We're almost halfway through - The story should have 30 chapters by the end, though it could be longer or shorter. Thank you so much for dealing with me throughout this, and thank you so much for reading it!

ALSO, my irl friend started reading Slaughter. Here are some of her reactions -

- She thinks Avianna is the best character.
- She hates Effie.
- She wants Ariel and Ayuda to have a girl-chat on a beach with cocktails.
- She says 'well done' or 'congratulations' to me whenever I mention that there's a straight couple in Slaughter.
- She likes Armani cuz she has the line 'Smile at me again and I'll chop your dick off, happy meal.'
- She imagined Roso as white.
- She thinks too many characters have names beginning with A.
- She thinks that Alastair should prostitute himself to Ariel in exchange for food, then have Ariel order Alastair to kill Effie to prove his love and he does. Then Ariel gets pregnant and the baby is disfigured (because incest) so Ariel tries to kill it and Alastair tries to protect it, fleeing Ariel's house and discovering she has a huge collection of men who prostitute themselves to her in exchange for money and that Ariel was actually cheating on him all along (I think this was a joke... I hope this was a joke. When told they were cousins she merely said 'no one cared about incest in those days')
- She's planning to write a 'Sweet Home Alabama' style, Slaughter fan-fiction.

note - I gave her a rewritten version of Slaughter where the characters are human cause I don't want her thinking I'm Big Furry UwU
