José felt guilt for the very words he said to Fernando that day...it was the last words Fernando ever heard José say to him before dying. Tito lived in guilt for all the years that followed when he wasn't there to comfort Fernando and Belleza and Trey from nightmares...to love them...he tries to make amends and think Fernando forgot the words but Fernando never did. He remember it vividly. Arty knew when Tito told him in secret and Arty ripped into Tito for his words and actions.

Maria had the babies out the house when this was happening and Fernando didn't say anything to Her about this cause he was scared of José

His other siblings only found out about this when they walked in on him drunk yelling at Tito comatose body while his spirits was still healing to go back in after the Janitor attack. He was ranting, cursing and basically exposing him for everything he said to Fernando.
