Dream gains some kind of Light Yagami mindset, believing that he's serving justice and doing what's right. He decides that the best way for everyone to be happy is to rid AUs of all evil and negativity,  no matter what it takes.

Some plot lines:

"It needs to be obliterated, and when that happens, all world's will finally become what they deserve to be"

He ends up becoming distorted because of how powerful he becomes, the measures he intimately takes to achieve his goals, and the fact that he wants everyone  to bend to his ideas of what happiness is.
