I jiggled the doorknob, and heard him slam against the door. I heard Socks yell,

"LEAVE ME ALONE- please.."

I knew I couldn't just let him be, even though he wanted to be. It sounded like there was a tornado going through his room with all the slamming on the walls.

"Socks, come on. We've been friends since we were kids! You can trust me! I won't let whatever is going on in there make me think less of you!"

He stayed silent, but I heard a bit of pressure come off the door. I felt like I started saying something that I needed to say, and I wanted to keep going. So I did.

"You were the one that found this place and brought me and Meme- scratch that- almost everyone in the group together to become friends! You gave me my Bear sweater, sunglasses, and you also gave Meme his Onesie! If you did that when we were at the age of 11, I can't imagine what you could do now at the age of 20! You're one of the few greatest people I've ever met, and I won't let something you can't control make me think otherwise. I want to help."

A couple seconds past before I heard the door unlock. Socks opened the door timidly, and peeked around the corner. I saw one Black eye with a red X. It looked wet, ready to start bursting with tears. It practically already was because of the black that was already dripping down his face. He opened the door a bit more to reveal the rest of his face. His left eye was his normal, Human eye. It was as watery as the other. I put the pieces together to tell that he had been crying a lot. His mouth had black around it, almost as if he had been throwing up. His hair had been stained with black in certain spots, almost as if he were splashed with an ocean wave. A tentacle came around the corner as well. It looked slightly inflated, dripping in the some black that covered his face.
