So, this guy is Lerav. I have made a ton of lore for him and his family, and i might just spill some here bc idk if it'll become an actual book or not.

Lerav with his wife, Fionna

Ok so the entire family is an Elf/Demon mix- not sure what to call it because they aren't evil until black magic is thrown into the equation.

    So Lerav has a hobby of woodworking and job of engineering, while his wife, Fionna works with fabric and sewing (this is why Lerav wears a glove, to hide his hand because of a woodworking accident). Their kids dont have any problems apart from getting into mischief, like most kids do at the ages of 9 and 7 (Cade is 9, Sam is 7). Fionna ends up passing away of a disease, which hits the rest of the family by surprise. The two kids start to discover some powers of theirs. Cade has the power of telepathy, and Sam can see images of the future just like her mother (Sam didn't know about the passing of her mother. She couldn't control her powers while Fionna was still alive.).

    Lerav, practically being swallowed by the darkness of grief does everything in his power to bring his wife back, including using dark magic. Praying and thinking of her everyday, he eventually became corrupted from the dark magic. Finding a spell, he performed a blood sacrifice to get his wife's soul back. Instead, it backfired and gave him the power to harness all souls, at the cost of his own life and body, becoming the current "spiritbox" he is now. He trapped 1000's of souls, and he even trapped his own kids under the curses' bidding.

    Then he's summoned years later after he dies (he lived to the original age of 74) from a puzzle cube he crated as part of his woodworking. He's somewhat "attached" to the cube, as he possesses it (if that makes sense). In his humanoid form, he is a rotting corpse at the center, living off the dark magic, surrounded by souls and draped with a cloth his wife had used.

The only way to kill "present" Lerav is open the mouth/gash in his chest, letting all the souls free, killing the corpse a second time, and burning the puzzle cube.
