Aeryn is grayromantic, which means she hardly feels any romantic attraction towards anyone btw

Okay backstory time!!!

Because why not (and I also feel the need to before I explain why I ship them)

Aeryn and Skyy went to the same elementary school so that means roughly 10 years of her life. That also meant that Aeryn was there when Skyy was injured and had her older brother Sage taken away from her. Aeryn soothed her and just kind of the cliche kind of thing and that's acrually how thet got more closer because before, they knew each other, but not much.

She was usually welcomed over to Skyy's home and they would watch things like Mean Girls and kinda just laugh and cringe at it. Aeryn had to unfortunately transfer to Los Angeles because her dad lost his job, which was their main source of income and both parents couldn't find a job and soon, they could no longer provide for their family, especially Aeryn and her school that she went to. In result, Aeryn and her parents had to move in with Aeryn's aunt and uncle on her mom's side. Luckily, they were amazingly sweet and her mom and aunt got along relatively well.

During her last days at Artshade Valley, Aeryn asked Skyy out as she had recently recognized the girl had feelings for her best friend. Skyy had accepted her request to become her girlfriend for the last couple of days she would be here and even when Aeryn would be in Los Angeles. They used Skype a lot and talk to each other regularly over the Internet. Her dad was able to find a job, but it didn't pay well as well ad his previous, but it made do because at least it kept them alive. Her aunt works as an intern at a church and her uncle doesn't have a job but he helps out at a recreation center. During summer or Christmas, Aeryn hops along with a friend of hers that has family in Oregon and her friend's family goes to Oregon every year to see their extended family. Her parents, aunt, and uncle are usually okay with this since they really can't afford to go anywhere and they chalk up maybe 5 dollars from the reduction of a mouth they normally have to feed.

Artshade Valley is right on the way to Astoria, Oregon which is where Aeryn's friend is headed. So they drop her off at Artshade Valley, crashing at Skyy's place for a week or even less before heading back to LA. Skyy and her kinda just hang out, trying to make up for lost time. They go to their favorite coffee shop a lot and they know each other's orders by heart and such.

Why I ship Aeryn & Skyy:

Well, since Aeryn is grayromantic, she hardly feels any romantic attraction towards anyone, like I previously stated beforehand. The fact that she feels attraction to Skyy tells us that they're that close for Aeryn feel that way towards her. Although Skyy still went through depression after her beother kicked the bucket, Aeryn was still with her afterwards and helped her pull through it

Additional facts:

-Aeryn is almost exactly a year younger than Skyy

-she has an older brother who is currently 19, so he's out of the house now, saving some money for his family

-personality-wise, she's a big people pleaser to her small circle of friends, but to others, she's almost the same but to a certain extent

-goes to Dephora Middle School with the others
