1. Where She Fell by Kaitlin Ward

  This book is sorta hard to explain, but it's like an adventure/horror book. This girl falls into a pitch black cave system and finds a hidden society of other people who fell into the caves. Only 2 others seem to share the goal of getting back to land, and they go on a huge adventure to get back to the surface.  On the way they're some really weird things that start to happen...

[I'm gonna be honest, this book is probably one of my favourites]

2. Scythe by Neal Shusterman

[There's 3 books in this series!]

  This one wasn't my favourite, but the rest of my family ADORES these books. It's about two kids who live in a society where the upper class is controlled by 'Scythes', people who control death. It's really hard to explain, but these two kids get chosen to be an apprentice to a scythe and a lot of crazy shit happens.
[I've never actually read this one the whole way through]

3. After Zero by Christina Collins

This ones a more touchy-feely book. It's extremely good. It's about this girl who chooses not to speak, like at all. However, when she starts to see and hear some weird stuff happening, she doesn't know who to turn to for help. She starts searching on her own, with mix results.

4. THEBESTBOOK, Ah, I mean, Not If I Save You First by Ally Carter

I've read this book so many times-
ALRIGHT so this guy [whom I officially adopted] is a total screwup. Can't make his parents proud, gets in a lot of trouble. And that's really, really, bad, because his dad is the president.
  His best friend Maddie's dad was the head of secret service, but after a horrible accident the two moved to Alaska, with no contact with Logan, no contact with anyone at all.
  So Logan's parents are like "oK dude, you're making us look bad, we're gonna send you away to Alaska :D" and he's really mad about that.
  Maddie is extremely angry at Logan because she used to send him letters every single day, but he never answered them. Now after 6 years, he's just showing up like nothing happened.
  AND THEN Maddie's dad goes away on a work trip, and this guy comes out of nowhere and kidnaps Logan, and now Maddie has to save his dumb ass.

ITS A REALLY GOOD BOOK OK

5. Zodiac by Romina Russel

Ok so in this galaxy your sign determines what planet you live on. Each zodiac planet had a Guardian, basically the bIG bOY. So this girl Rho is chosen as the new Guardian of Cancer and starts seeing visions of this big bad guy named, obviously, Ophiuchus. So she teams up with another Cancer and the Libra Guardian and they go on this big journey to warn the other planets. There's 3 books in the series.

It's basically a Wattpad Zodiac book tbh lmao-

7. Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentmen

Carver murdered his best friends

But you know, it was an accident.

But now his friend's parents are like, really mad at him so he organizes these things called 'Goodbye Days' where he spends a day with their family to remember them and shit.

And its SO SAD BUT SO GOOD-

8. Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol

This one is a graphic novel, but it's really dark and scary. It also has strong language and topics, so beware

FUN FACT I got this book when I was smaller and it scared the SHIT out of me

9. I'M SERIOUS READ 'NOT IF I SAVE YOU FIRST

10. The Maximum Ride books

  I honestly don't know what order these books go in, but it's about this group of kids who were experiments and managed to escape. Now they roam from place to place trying to hide. The scientists fused their dna with birds and now they have wings ooooh

11. Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven

This one's a really poweful story about this girl's recovery. A couple years ago, she was America's fattest teen. Now she faces endless bullying and just has a shitty life. When she gets in a fight with this guy, who has a huge secret, they start to realize they might not be so different from each other

12. Hamilton And Peggy! By L.M.Elliot
 

A whole book about historical Schuyler Sisters and Hamilton? Yes please!! A book based on Peggy and Ham's friendship? HECK YEAH!

13. Code Talker by Joseph Bruchac

This book is about a Navajo boy who enlists in the US Army during World War 11. Sure, there's a lot od WW2 books out there, but this one focuses on how the Navajo Indians became America's greatest secret weapon. Their language was so complex it made a great code.
