Okay- So- Culture is underway for Schoalwings... My new WoF species, based on Betta fish~ :")

What I will say is that they live in shallow waters off the coast of the Rainforest Kingdom. FRESHWATER lakes and streams, not saltwater ( that will kill their scales and eventually them )

There's a Queen, a royal family... But it's not a major kingdom that is recognized- Theyre a small population, and are slow out of water so are mostly stuck in their little areas. VERY TERRITORIAL!!!

They have little kelp huts (they find the kelp stranded on the beaches) and have little burrowed tunnels in the bank of the river where they sleep <33

Males are brightly-colored, females are still vibrant just more dulled down... Males are much larger and have longer fins, but both can have specific fins ( dragontail, doubletail, crowntail, ect... )

Betta-related diseases can also persist, fin rot is the leading killer of young Schoalwing dragonets!!

NEEDS WARMTH, so they cannot be out of warm water for too long ( usually exits watery home in humid rain during the rainforest seasons )

Same language as other dragons!!

Queen may have the rule, but she has several male mates to protect her... A Harem so to say.

FRAGILE scales!! Strong(er) fins, with a powerful bite and weak(er) legs.
