Here a graph of my kids level of empathy 

They were all basically taught to lower but not get rid of there empathy. The empathy they have the more likely they are to listen to there parents 

The kids kill and hunt cause they were taught to, they want others to suffer and they have to eat

Wanda and Sam aren't able to really share the feelings of victims or other people seeing in there eyes as just acting out of emotions 

Poor Gaia just suffering cause she share, understand and feel the emotions of others in a way. Which can be bad when you are a killer. That's why her deaths are quick and painless

Jolie more empathetic then her twin, jealous of others faces but not wishes to make them like her in a way

Adam has a bit ego and in his eyes they need to stop acting out of pocket. He simply snapping your neck. He does get to like Jolie level though after some development and help

Octavia simply wishes to get the deed done and just get her food

Fernando sees it as food for them and they need to stop running 

Belleza thinks she is the absolute best way to die and she should have all the victims. It gets better though
