The lunch bell rang and Ash went to the cafeteria. He sat next to Moon at the class table. Ash felt as if he finally understood the ways of this world.

"Who are you?" A girl asked.

"Sis! Don't be so mean!" her brother scolded.

"I'm Ash Ketchum, and I'm a Kantonian student!" he told them.

"I'm Chase!" the boy introduced himself.

"And I'm Elaine!" the girl said.

"We're also Kantonian students!"

Ash talked with his new Kanto friends before a couple other students passed by.

"Those are the upperclassmen," Moon explained in a whisper.

"What're they're names?"

"They're Haruka Sapphire, Yuki Ruby, Silver Rocket, Blue Oak, Red Shu, Leaf Green, Yellow Hidenori, and the Gold twins, Hibiki and Kris."

A girl ran up to the table they were sitting at and took a piece of toast out of her mouth.

"Elaine, don't tell anyone I missed first half," she said, then sticking the piece of toast back in her mouth.

"That's Hikari Berlitz," Moon whispered. "She's always late." Ash nodded in understanding.
