Fire everywhere. Collapsed buildings. Broken streets.
Surge dragged himself through the ruins, looking for his team mates.
He looked everywhere, behind cars, underneath piles of cement. But no sign of them.

In the distance, he saw the shadowy figure of someone. Filled with hope, Surge ran towards it. Just a few feet away from it, he tripped and fell down. When he looked up, he looked right into the red eyes of himself.

2 am

Furno woke up from Surge's movements. They were watching TV earlier to pass the time, when Surge fell asleep. Furno layed him down so his head was on his lap. He looked down at Surge, who was now shifting in his sleep. All of a sudden, he sat up with a scream.

Furno: Surge?

Surge: *shaking a bit* H-hey...

Furno: Surge, you want to talk about it?

Surge: Y-no...

Furno: It could help you to calm down.

Surge: ..... A-alright..

Surge told him everything he saw in the dream. The buildings, the streets, the fire. Everything he could recall. When he was done, Furno tried comforting him.

Furno: Whatever you saw, it's over now. It was just a nightmare.

Surge: B-but it felt so real...

Furno: Dreams and nightmares can feel real sometimes. That doesn't mean it is.

Surge: ...... You don't understand...

Furno: What?

Surge: I had the same exact nightmare before! Not just once but every time I fell asleep!! It was very blurry the first few times, but it became clearer and clearer. Like it's trying to tell me something!

His voice trailed of towards the end, but he still manages to talk with a shaky voice.

Surge: It's so weird... E-everything looked so real like it was really happening. I-I don't want it to happen...

Furno: Well, it's not real and even if it does happen, it's not up to you if it happens or not.

Surge didn't respond as he was still shaking.

Furno: W-was is that scary?

Surge: S-scary, horrifying, p-panic awakening....

Furno looked at Surge. He hates seeing him in a state like this. Furno reached over and pulled Surge into a hug.

Furno: Whatever happens, it's not your fault.

Upon Furno's act, Surge broke down and cried over his shoulder as he held on to him. Furno waited for him to calm down, but didn't expect him to fall back asleep after his crying fit. Furno looked at Surge's face. It sorta worried him that Surge's tears were black, but he wiped them away and laid him back down.

"Like it's trying to tell me something"

That sentence echoed inside Furno's head a few times, before he also fell asleep.
