OHOHOHOHO!! Sorry for the late update guys.. been er.. fighting things.. well you'll figure it out eventually after you guys get past the whole Omegaverse Tournament dealy.. but seriously.. I've been playing this ONE game.. and I would just like to say.. INSANELY GOOD! GONNA REPLAY NEW GAME PLUS AS MUCH AS I CAN!!!"

God of War used to be quite straight forward, Basically hack and slash through everything, kill everyone.. and screw all the Greek Gods those bastards.

But this game.. this time it provides a little something that most God of War fans aren't used to.. VERY VERY DEEP STORY.. I mean honestly, Kratos has a son, he's dealing with his past.. he looks like  he joined a metal band at some point and got a Myth Buster's Beard..  AND he's.. well.. calm.. controlled, plus an astonishingly good teacher of very few words..

Plus he has nipples... good graphics be praised XD..

Overall, for God of War fans and first time players alike, this game is good.. plus the combat game play is actually a very large challenge. .You have to consider your every move against the enemy perfectly..  or you might just die to a bunch of tiny minions.  Timing your parries and paying attention to your environment is a key aspect of combat, where swinging blindly like a spartan maniac can get you killed.

It's like playing an ULTRA INSANE version of Legend of Zelda, especially due to the very confusing and challenging puzzles in the game. In some parts I found it a little more challenging than Dark Souls, which I've played a ton. (a fervent lover of the Souls Series myself)

I proudly name this Dad of War game, INSANELY GOOD!

Bad Parts.

Okay, here's the bad parts.. cause I need to find SOMETHING wrong with this game just in case it's a problem that might make you think you wasted your money.  Truth of the matter is.. this game is TOUGH..

I mean, it's  just REALLY HARD. The Combat in the main story is easy enough if you learn your enemy's patterns, However, some sidequest enemies can get frustratingly powerful, to the point where you repeatedly die as if you're playing another Souls game.. luckily you don't need a bonfire, checkpoint saves are frequent, but it can be VERY frustrating when you spend several hours stuck on one enemy. You might have to temporarily switch to Easy Mode just so you can get past one part.  But don't worry too much on that, you don't get any big reward differences by fighting on each different difficulty... unless you want the God of War difficulty, which makes Dark Souls 3 look like a Hello Kitty game.

But it's not the Combat you should watch out for.. it's the puzzles!! THE PUZZLES ARE SO HARD THEY ARE ANNOYING!! It's not figuring out WHAT to do with the puzzles that's the problem, it's actually DOING it once you figure out what you need to do.

Like say I figured out i need to hit the three bells to open the chest, and I need to do it consecutively. However, the bells are placed in such a position, you need PERFECT reaction time and speed PLUS Call of Duty PRO level aim while your character keeps shifting to the left for reasons you can't surmise, just to complete the puzzle.

Uncle Natsu spent so long repeatedly dying to a Sun Moon and Midgard puzzle, that he threw the controller across the room and accidentally smacked Happy into a refrigerator. yeeegh.. anger inducing.. and my mama nearly fried our tv complaining about runestones being hidden even more terribly than a Where's Waldo book.

And that's almost every puzzle from 30 percent through the main campaign onwards. You need sharp eyes, reaction time, and incredibly slick gaming skills to get through each puzzle, otherwise you'll slip up and have to start all over, it can get REALLY frustrating, and have you wondering why the HELL the Leviathan Axe doesn't have an Aim Assist function just for the puzzles.  Overall, it's a hardcore difficult game, and you should only pick it up if you're ready for some challenges, even in Easy mode... otherwise I recommend just watching a Let's play which is almost as fun given the amazing story.

Overall rating? 9.9 out of 10!! My opinion anyways.. the 0.01 percent just being the crappy hours of difficulty dealing with overly tough puzzles. But if you want a good RPG this year that blows almost every game ever written out of the water.. try this game for SURE.
