Coleena had been relieved when she made it to her first class. She hated hallways, the bumping the touching and even if it was brief the inside looks in other peoples minds. Coleena disliked touch for many reason's. She felt as though she was invading other peoples memories. One touch. Weather it be a small bump or graze and Coleena could see everything leading up to the present time.

So as she entered English and made eye contact with one of the vampire's she exhaled in relief. She could sit next to them and not worry about being touched. However as Angela still had yet to unlink their arms she realized that was not how it was going to go.

"We don't have assigned seats this period." She explained before reaching a desk and letting go of Coleena. She didn't want to be rude but she would much rather be sitting next to the blonde women who looked stunning. Despite not knowing it, as Coleena took the seat next to Angela she had disappointed the vampire watching her curiously.

Had Alice been wrong? Would Rosalie not become good friends with Coleena? However as class had started and they were being assigned partners for an essay all doubt was swept away when Rosalie and Coleena were paired together.

Rosalie watched as Coleena's blue eyes connected with her gold ones and she began to make her way to the desk. "Hello, I'm Leena." She introduced and as Rosalie was hit with her scent she couldn't help but feel....calm? The thirst she had been feeling eased and her throat no longer burned.

So Rosalie did something that shocked the entire classroom. She held out her hand for Coleena to shake. "Rosalie Hale." She introduced and seeing Coleena's hesitance almost put her had down.

As Coleena sat down quickly and shook her hand Rosalie noticed how her blue eyes seemed to glaze over. Like she was watching things that weren't there like Alice when seeing the future. Rosalie watched as Coleena blinked rapidly before sending a gentle smile her way.

Coleena had seen it all, how perfect Rosalie Lillian Hale's life had been. How she made the mistake of leaving her friends house late. The blood the torture the revenge. Rosalie changing and despising what she was, carrying Emmett in the desperate need to save him. She felt it all and seen it all despite not wanting too.

"Rosalie Hale you are one very strong women."

Rosalie looked shocked at hearing Coleena speak to her without moving her lips. As Coleena gently removed their hands and smiled sweetly at Rosalie she began the topic of their essay. Silently berating herself for touching her hand.

By the time lunch rolled around Coleena had adjusted to Angela being a very sweet loving kind girl who loved linking arms. So as Angela and Coleena walked into the lunch room arms linked Coleena trying not to be mean and not touch Angela she lightly pulled her arm from hers.

"Sorry, Angela." She apologized profusely as the two stood at a table that was empty for time being. Angela's brows were furrowed causing Coleena to have a small amount of guilt. "I just don't like touch- It's very um intimate?" At Angela's embarrassed look Coleena felt her cheeks heat up so bad her cheeks were a bright red and the Cullen's could swear it was her whole face.

"N-not like that!" She stammered shaking her hands back and forth quickly. "It's just that I-"

"It's okay!" Angela assured before gripping onto Coleena's shoulders to settle the girl. Such an odd girl! I hope touching her shoulders is okay. "I promise not to touch you after this." She assured before letting go and taking her own seat. "Everyone has their quirks." Angela tried to help Coleena not feel embarrassed but it only seemed to cause the girl to blush harder.

She was weird. Coleena couldn't do anything to change that though, she didn't ask to be able to hear people's thoughts or see their pasts. She didn't ask to be a witch.

As Rosalie Hale sat at her table she looked straight at her twin before smiling. "I like her. You should go meet her." Hearing this Alice and Edward shared a look before Alice leaned into Luke. Jasper had a look of disbelief as Emmett laughed.

"I told you!" Alice chirped pretending to eat as Rosalie threw a carrot at her.

"It was crazy." Rosalie stated making Luke look at her.

"What was?"

"She spoke to me, in my head." She answered looking over to Coleena who was now speaking with Jessica. Everyone looked to Rosalie to elaborate and Rosalie sent a small sheepish smile. "When we touched hands, she zoned out like Alice, then spoke to me. Her mouth never moved." Everyone looked towards the witch who threw her head back with a laugh.

"So." Emmett broke their silence causing the siblings to all look towards him. "Jasper's gonna have his hands full." He called a smirk showing on his face. Edward having heard his thoughts smirked.

The Cullens watched as Coleena excused herself patting Angela once and gracefully walked past their lunch table. She had sent Rosalie a heartwarming smile before she tucked her phone out of her pocket.

Edward stood having heard Coleena's thoughts on not wanting to be late if her phone call ran late. He didn't want to be late to his next class either. Jasper eager to be away from Alice's excitement and the knowing looks of his family quickly followed.

"Be nice Jasper." Alice's voice reached his ears on his way out making him scoff. His worries were valid. However as he walked into the history room to see Coleena Caster sitting in the seat next to his he stilled slightly. She was reading into a novel trying to cool off from whatever had happened earlier.

She was anxious, angry, and upset. However as he made his way over she looked up and sent him a smile. He was something that could drain her in a second, if he wanted too. Desired too. Yet she smiled up at him. Why was the class he had with her towards the end of the day? When his thirst was reaching it's peak and his control was dwindling.

"Hello." She spoke up her voice smooth and sweet. Flowing into his ears and making his mind wander. "I'm Leena." She introduced and despite himself as he sat down feeling more drawn to her than earlier he placed his hand out.

Would she see how horrible his past was? Would she be scared if the devilish things he'd done? Would she see how many years he wandered depressed before meeting Alice and Luke? Would she turn tail and run? Did it matter, if they were mates she would see it all later.

"Jasper Hale." He introduced and as she opened her mouth to respond grabbing his hand she suddenly stopped. Seeming to think it over but as Jasper sent her a reassuring smile she grabbed his hand.

The shock that followed through the both of them had sent Coleena's emotion into a frenzy. It was all mixed in with Shock, Fear, Resentment, Hate, and Anger. Taken aback at the feelings he opened his mouth to ask what she had seen. Before he could the bell rang and kids started entering the room.

Coleena's glare towards him froze him in place as she huffed before turning towards the front of the room. Her face had wiped all emotions off of it and despite it, he could still feel the lingering hate towards him. However the emotion at its strongest peak had been Fear.

Was it him? Had she decided that after all everything he'd done was too horrible to look past? What was that spark that he'd felt?

The whole class period Coleena Caster had not uttered one word to him afterwards. She hadn't even made eye contact or looked in his direction. Her blue eyes focusing on something else. He wanted to ask her what had bothered her to the extent of ignoring him, however as soon as the bell rang Coleena Caster tucked tail and ran.

As Jasper exited and Alice appeared he could tell by the look on her face she was not happy. "Jasper Hale," she started sharply making him wince. "What have you done?" She asked looking hysterical.

"What do you mean?" He questioned exasperated and by the look on her face he knew she wasn't impressed.

"You're unbelievable." She stated turning on her heel to make it to their shared class. "Could you not have been nice to her? If not for her sake, or your sake, our sake." She rambled and Jasper furrowed his brows in confusion.

"Alice-" he tried but the girl turned as they reached their class.

"I mean Jasper, Coleena was going to make everyone in our family happy! And you scared her off!" She exclaimed making Jasper's heart drop into his stomach. Scared her off. Was this one of the 4 out of 10 times Alice had seen his future. Was his assumption correct?

However as he took a deep breath to ask Alice he noticed how his thirst seemed to come crashing back ten fold. His entire body stiffened and felt the familiar burn in his throat. He hadn't noticed it in history what had been different? Having it dawn on him as Alice grabbed his hand and walked into the class room, he realized what was different. The only thing different to this day had been Coleena.

He couldn't remember the thirst when she was around. He was solely tuned into her, like she was his own radio frequency. Was it her? Or was it her scent? He couldn't even recall her scent. He had been more focused on her hatred and fear. Asking Alice would have to wait until after school.

As Coleena walked into her last class of the day she scowled when she made eye contact with Edward Cullen. The vampire furrowed his brows searching her thoughts for the cause of her distaste towards him. Shocking him even more when he realized that the reason that Coleena Caster disliked him was none other than the soulmate bond.

Coleena took a seat directly behind him next to Mike Newton, who Edward knew that at the look on her face he was shitting his pants. The Newton boy was absolutely terrified of the stunning witch. Edward didn't blame him. Coleena Caster looked as if you spoke to her wrong she would chop off your hands.

Edward pondered as to why Coleena felt such distaste for the soulmate bond. To his knowledge most witches waited to start their lives until they met their soulmate. Some meeting them at the age of sixteen and others meeting them by twenty-five.

However the vibrating of her phone caught his attention and the text message, he knew made Coleena roll her eyes enabled his ability to catch the source of the problem. He sympathized slightly once more with the girl before he adverted his attention to the lesson.

The girl had rarely experienced a happy, loving relationship. How was she supposed to be happy about something she was afraid of?

However at the thought of Coleena vowing to stay as far away from the Cullen family as possible had Edward once again worrying over the possibility of Jasper's future. Even more so his family's future and happiness. Coleena Caster had been meant to be a part of the Cullen family.

It was clear from the first time Alice had visions of all of them. Coleena got along with everyone, including Edward who was often brooding. Coleena would break Jasper out of that shell and in turn would help break Edward out of his.

As the bell rung signaling the end of biology Edward turned in his seat to talk to Coleena who grabbed Mike Newton's hand. In turn grabbing the boys attention. Her eyes glazed over seeing the boys home life and entitlement before blinking rapidly and smiling slightly. "Hey- what are your thoughts on basketball?" She asked causing the boy to grin and engage in a conversation.

One that made the witch silently thank she was a witch who saw and heard peoples past and thoughts. For she had made her wonderful escape not having to share a conversation with Edward Cullen who was frowning as he followed the two out. Mike grabbed her arm and before the words left his mouth she had heard them clear as day.

"What's your problem with Cullen?" He whispered and despite the fact that he thought Edward couldn't hear him he could. As Coleena pushed open the door and caught sight of the rest of the Cullen clan waiting for Edward she scowled.

Mike noticing her scowl raised his brows. "Or I guess what's your problem with the whole family?" He rephrased snapping Coleena from her glaring. As Coleena hurried down the steps Mike following she shrugged.

"No problem." She replied shortly making her way across the lot to the bike. "Just end of the day. I'm tired." Mike laughed slightly as Coleena readjusted her bag.

"Right." He replied unconvinced. "The way you're glaring at them, which one crossed you the wrong way?" He asked and Coleena looked over meeting the eyes of Jasper Hale. Her scowl returned as she scoffed getting onto her bike.

"Jasper Hale is just a pain in my ass." She replied before Jessica called for Mike. As Coleena made her way home two thoughts were stuck right in her mind.

One:Coleena Caster would not allow herself to fall for Jasper Hale.

Two:Coleena would stay as far away from the Cullens as possible.

————————
All the Cullens waited until Carlisle had returned home that night for the arguments that were sure to happen. Tension had been high and at Alice's declaration that Jasper had scared Coleena off and changed everyone's future with her Rosalie Hale had inwardly expressed her hate for the man.

Allowing tension to rise even more within Jasper and the household. Rosalie's glares had not been subtle and Alice's own anger was growing. Edward wasn't sure if declaring that it was Coleena who made the choice would make them feel better or worse.

However the second Carlisle made it to the room and noticed the flares and tension he sighed out. Rosalie sat next to Emmett glaring at Jasper like she would set him on fire, Alice and Lukas had been sitting next to them. Alice dripping in sadness and hurt and Luke with slight irritation towards Jasper. Esme was worried seeing as her kids had been short and silent and Edward had been standing by the patio.

"Jasper scared Leena off." Rosalie stated sharply, saying Jasper's name with malice making Edward hold his breath.

"I didn't do anything." Jasper replied curly nodding his head once as he thought back to the interaction. He had just introduced himself.

"Then why has the future changed?" Alice challenged.

"I don't know." Jasper replied his mind filling with anxiety, which the whole family had caught onto. Jasper Hale was not good with hiding his emotions.

"Alright." Carlisle called out gaining everyone's attention. "Let's start from the beginning." He asked gesturing Jasper to explain what happened.

"All I did was introduce myself and shake her hand." Jasper stated not seeing the issue. Rosalie scoffed before crossing her arms.

"If that's all you did then there's no reason for Alice's vision to change." She snarled out making Jasper roll his eyes.

"This is not my fault." Jasper exclaimed standing up and it was then that Edward decided to make his presence known.

"Jasper is telling the truth." He called and Rosalie's glare turned towards him now instead.

"Alice how has the future changed? I thought you said Jasper being here wouldn't matter?" Esme asked making Alice blink a sad expression crossing her face.

"As of right now." Alice cleared her throat glancing to Rosalie nervously. "Coleena will not be in any of our lives." Rosalie had a look of disbelief before standing up and pointing at Jasper harshly.

"She was fine with me this morning."

"The future didn't change until after lunch!" Alice called and Lukas knowing best to defend everyone sighed out.

"That means it could have only been something Jasper did." He stated rubbing Alice's arm as Jasper scowled towards Lukas. Jasper did not like everyone thinking he would sabotage Alice's visions, not when he and Luke had supported her the most.

"Was there anything else that happened? Maybe something...not normal? Usual?" Carlisle asked and Jasper seemed to have been hit with a realization.

"When we touched, there was like a spark." He stated and Carlisle was gone and then back with a book on witches open. Everyone was silent as they watched Carlisle flip through pages before pausing.

"I see." He whispered and everyone shared glances before Carlisle looked up. "You are her soulmate." His statement sent everyone into confusion.

"Then why is she staying away from him?" Alice asked out not understanding and Edward having read Jasper's thoughts answered.

"She's scared." He stated looking towards Jasper for confirmation. As Jasper nodded Rosalie sat down in defeat.

"So Coleena chose this." Alice stated and Lukas rubbed her arm.

"But witches wait for their soulmates?" Lukas questioned before Esme shook her head.

"Maybe a bad experience?" Everyone looked to Edward before he shrugged. Esme knew all too well on bad experiences.

"Her mind is very quiet. Reserved." He stated and Carlisle nodded.

"I met her mother, she said that Coleena mostly has defensive magic. Said that offensive magic tires her out." Carlisle trailed off making Edward nod at his thoughts.

"So something must have happened before she developed her powers." He stated reading off Carlisle's mind and as all the Cullens exchange glances one thing was all on their minds.

Will Jasper be able to get Coleena back?

Words- 3,122
Will he be able too? How will he do it? Will it be him or Rosalie? Why does Edward have issues reading her thoughts?
